For a while this morning, I was in bed thinking it was Sunday. When I realized it was actually Monday, I was severely depressed. In fact, I’m still quite depressed. But, quick as it went, it was a good weekend. Very warm and sunny, and I got quite a bit done (though not everything on my list, of course). Now it’s back in my windowless cave of an office, wondering how the hell I’m gonna make it through the day (let alone the week).
If you missed 60 Minutes last night, and want to see Roger Waters, here you go….
Everything and everyone is wet. It’s has been raining for 2 days. The drought on Long Island is no more. Instead there are flood warnings and the front door creaks and squeaks whenever it is opened. Unfortunately, the rain cannot drown out the political season.
OMG. Thank you, PJ, for the 60-Minutes link — how interesting that 60-Min did a story on Roger — it’s almost like the original 60 Minutes days when they actually did worthwhile stories. Glad Mr. 68-yrs-old-looks-like-dyn-o-mite-for-that-age keeps on going with The Wall! Hope we can afford to see that performance one day soon!
I think we’ll have to wait for the DVD. There are some fairly decently priced “cheap” seats in Buffalo, Albany, and Boston coming up in June (like, in the $70-80 per seat range, though there are “obstructed” view tickets in Boston for $40 each) , but there’s nobody to puppy sit for a road trip, and $200 (plus fees and other travel expenses) buys a lot of deck boards.
The final show is 7/21 in Quebec, and will have the largest Wall ever – 800 feet wide.
