I’m not sure exactly when I passed out in my chair last night, but when I woke up, MSNBC was declaring Obama the winner. So I figured it was safe to go to bed. Morning came awfully early today, but there’s apparently good news locally, as it seems that our teabagger Congresscritter lost. Not that she’s conceding, of course, but the AP has projected her to lose, and her opponent is up by about 12,000 votes. So that’s a good thing. But there are some 21,500 absentee ballots out there somewhere, and you never know how those will go. Still, up is better than down. Nationally, it looks as though Democrats picked up a net of 3 Senate seats. That’s about all I’ve had a chance to digest this morning. I’m beat, and it’s gonna be a long day at work (not as long as November 3, 2004, though).
The election is over. My email is filled with coupons and merchandise offers. There is not one request for money…at least this morning.
Watching the election with the wit and wisdom of the chat room was a pleasure. The election outcome was great too. I was too wound up to sleep. I watched Obama’s acceptance speech, fell asleep and awoke at 6:30. Maybe I’ll take a nap when the nor’easter hits. This weather is getting really tiresome.
I apparently did something to my hip by sleeping in the chair for a while, because it’s all I can do to sit at my desk. Driving in was pretty painful, too. This getting old nonsense really sucks.
an fyi from something I see on FB yesterday morning, Kristapea lost her job. I was wishing last night I had sent out some sort of invite to some of our lapsed folks. I was sorry to see this just now.
Oh, that’s a shame. She really seemed to enjoy the farming life.
Yes, she did seem to enjoy it. Impish her well.

This wrenching of some rethugs that they don’t think they’ll be able survive in business because Obama won is so obnoxious. They sure love to live in fear.
That should have read, “I wish her well.” (autocorrect??) :spank:
Yesterday, before the nor’easter (which was no big deal) we lost phone, inter tubes and phone service. It is still not fixed. This power outage stuff is getting monotonous.
Don’t like the Red Cross?

Sunday the insurance adjuster is coming to Red Hook. Once he does his adjusting thing, we will be able to get the rest of the water, debris and water logged everything thrown out.
Glad to hear you’re getting services back, sp.
