Yeah, I know, people are have already coined the term “Thanksgivukkah” but I like mine better. The real question is, why are there two Ks in Hanukkah, but only one K in Chanukah? Anyhow, as you no doubt have already heard, today is both the first day of Chanukah, and Thanksgiving – a coincidence that shall not happen again until something like the year 79881. My prediction is that this means this will actually never happen again, ‘cuz if humans haven’t managed to wipe themselves out of existence by then, things will be a lot different and they’ll have other made up holidays to celebrate.
Anyhow, for those of you who don’t work at Wal-Mart, have a happy holiday today. And stay out of the department stores.
Near where I work, there is a traditional woodcraft vocational school. Not there yesterday, but in the window this morning- a menorah with no candles. Go figure!
No candles because it is also Thanksgiving…half a holiday? :menorah:

My odd guess was that it was not yet evening? Could that be true? I’ll see what;s there tomorrow.
Have a great Thanksgiving, all. I hope everyone has much to be thankful for.
