Granny and I are off in a couple of hours to go to Lily Dale, which is a spiritualist community. In honor of our anniversary, we’ll be attending a Victorian Seance tonight, and we’ll be staying overnight in a 130 year old haunted hotel. It supposedly has Wi-Fi access, but I think you’ll be on your own to see what the bobbleheads have planned on Sunday (unless we’re visited by the ghost of Tim Russert). Expect a generic Sunday thread with perhaps a pithy quote. Though if the wi-fi works and we see some ghosts, I’ll be sure and report in.
Supposed to be in the 90’s today. Good day to get the hell out of town.
Enjoy your Saturday.
No more Snow jobs.
Oh yeah? For what? I like Sammy, but I’ve never stalked him.
Dr. Michael DeBakey: 1908-2008
‘Greatest surgeon of the 20th century’ dies
 π :gate:
Funny thing is, 99 used to seem old to me. Now, not so much.
Wow, you guys do cool things for your anniversery. Have fun and tell the ghosts to GIVE IT UP! π
It’s a young 99.
PJ and RG, have a great time. Perhaps you can send a few ghosts to visit Chimpy and Chaney as the Ghosts of Climate Past, Present and Future. I think Chaney would be pleased to cough and wheeze with his grandchildren in a future scene.
Havin’s me a yaaaaaaard saaaale this weekend. I love sitting in a chair at home drinking :40: and taking money from people to haul my junk away. Move over Sanford and Son!

Da da DA da. Da da DA da da da da.
Da da DA da. Da da DA da da da da.
Dada da da da da DA DA DA.
Now I’m gonna have that damn theme song stuck in my head all day.
Thanks, Krista. π
But now everyone reading this will have it stuck in THEIR heads all day. So at least I get to take the rest of you down with me.
:rofl2:
Here ya go
Pre-emptive Booblehead Post
Because I know I won’t be up early enough to do it tomorrow morning. It’s incomplete, so feel free to fill in the missing pieces as they become available or as someone gives a shit. Krista has thoughtfully provided the theme music in the preceding post.
Fux News Sunday features a thoughtful, intelligent study of current and future energy needs, and offers a constructive plan to meet those needs while safely maintaining a pristine environment. APRIL FOOL! Come on, get serious. It’s Fox! But they will have gazillionaire oil baron and current star of every third commercial on MSNBC T. Boone “Don’t call me Slim” Pickens to discuss his current and wisely-timed fascination with solar power and wind farms.
I would watch this, but every time I see that assholic smirk on Chris Wallace’s face, I want to reach into my TV and punch it off his face. This would not be a good thing for my arm OR my TV, so most likely I’ll sleep through it.
The website didn’t mention anything specific, but I would expect lots of tears and hosannas for Snowjob. Maybe not as much as MSNBC did for Russert, but have your Kleenex ready. Or at least a barf bag.
On Press The Meat, Tom Brokaw (he of the lllllllllong llllllllanguishing lllllllls) will be hosting a Jello-wrestling match, I mean discussion, between McSame hack Carllllllly “I drove Hewlett-Packard into the toilet” Fiorina and Sen. Cllllllllaire McCaskilllllllllllllllllllll of Missouri. I’m picking Claire in two out of three falls. Also a roundtable with Harolllllllld “Call me!” Ford, Andrea “More Botox, please” Mitchellllllllllllll, and Mike “There’s no lllllllllllllll in his name” Murphy.
On This Weak, former Clinton shill and current rightie hack Snuffelupagus sits on the Manhattan yellow pages and welcomes the one and fortunately only Goobinator of Kal-e-four-knee-ah Ah-nold “I can no long satisfy my beautiful wife Mah-ree-ah because steh-roids have shrunk my testicles to the size of raisins” Schwartzenegger. Hey, I spelled it right on the first attempt and didn’t even have to cheat! I RULE!
Do we have a Dem to balance the Repig governor? Of course not, because this is ABC, Always Boosting Conservatives.
Following will be another damn roundtable. Do these people think they’re knights or something? Jeebus. I hope that doesn’t make Charlie Gibson King Arthur. Anyway, this one features Richard Stengel of Time Magazine, Dem cheerleader Donna Brazile, the odious Cokie :barf: Roberts, and of course the even more odious George :jerk: Will.
CBS, as usual, has not seen fit to update its website even though it’s FREAKIN’ SATURDAY ALREADY YOU CORNHOLES, so if you’re interested in knowing anything about Shitface the Nation or 60 Minutes, the official word from the Eye Network is Screw You.
Likewise, I went to the CNN website and saw a list of guests, but there was no indication as to whether said guests are scheduled for this week or appeared last week. Hell, for all I know, they could be scheduled for the first Sunday after next Christmas.
They do, however, seem to want you to know that the Wolfman is hosting, as a large picture of his gray-bearded eminence is prominently posted. Wolf will be returning to the studio once he finishes his business in the men’s room, enjoying the after-effects of his diet of hard cheese and drywall.
One of the local PBS stations has begun running back-to-back Jack Benny episodes at 8 PM on Saturdays. This seems to me to be much better viewing than anything I just described above. (Not to mention that Jack Benny gives better financial advice than Phil Gramm any day of the week.)
PJ, you can definitely have it back next week.
I dunno Kevin, you’re pretty good at the Booblehead Thread.
I learned at the feet of the master. OK, not literally at his feet, because that would be weird and probably a little smelly. But whatever.
I’m just Joan Rivers keeping the seat warm for Johnny. But without the plastic surgery.
God, how the hell old am I, making a Johnny Carson reference? Not to mention Jack Benny. Next thing you know, someone will tell me I have to vote for McCain.
:barf:
I’m going to go home now and put on one of those big black disc thingies. You scratch it with a needle and sounds come out. It’s the darndest thing. I showed it to some young folks the other day and they couldn’t believe it.
I don’t mind anyone misspelling Schwarzenegger, but it gets really sad when people on the blog spell Cheney with an a. I fuck shit up a lot, so don’t get all offended Cnick.
Mutiny on the Blog! Is Kevin taking over the Sunday thread?
No no no no no no. Just guesting. PJ said at the top of the thread that he may not be able to post from where he and Granny are spending the weekend.
Jack Benny?! Wow, Kevin- you must be as old as Joan Rivers first plastic surgery…., whoever Joan Rivers is. How ’bout Totie “peg-leg” Fields? :omg:
Hey Pj, are you at Upper, Middle or Lower Lake?
Hopefully not Mud Lake.
Great job, Kevin. Thanks.
Evening everyone.
Hey Travis,
I’m listening to AM 1090. Downloaded “AOL Radio” for my iPod Touch now that I was able to download the 2.0 software update. AOL Radio is a cool program. Seattle’s AM 1090 is the only Progressive station I’ve found on it thus far. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Travis wrote: I fuck shit up a lot, so donΓ’β¬β’t get all offended Cnick.
Hmm, why would that offend me? I’m usually on the receiving end. :rofl2:
I guess everyone is watching the teevee

Hey Cnick, I’m listening. What r u playing?
Depeche mode – Playing the angel CD
I thought it was DM
You’ve GOT to have Small town Boy, Cnick.
I don’t – sorry
The music sounds good but it’s a little difficult to hear you.
That’s okay. I’m not really wanting to talk. I do enough of that on my podcasts
HA ha! Cnick owns Styx! :nana:
I’m weird that way
K, well I’m signing off the radio. But I’ll be lurking in here somewhere.
A friend is coming over. :40: later people
