Hey, it’s getting close to the weekend here, and (unless I’ve missed it), we still don’t have the date for the begining of the new MaronEra. Will we get word before the weekend, or will they leave us hanging? And when are they gonna get the show syndicated outside of LA? Not that I’d be able to stay up from 1 – 3 most nights to listen live, but you never know. Well, one thing at a time, I guess.

Hey Kevin, the right wingers like David Brooks are framing this port issue as a racist thing and the left is talking about corporatocracy being the issue. I have to agree with Brooks though, the right wingers are racists and hate filled! :fu: Pigs!

Wow….that’s more than a little disturbing too…thanks Farmerkat for the post! Is American Idol REALLY so captivating that most of the country can blissfully ignore all of this? I have trouble sleeping when I think about it too much. WTF?
:yuck:
Gee Tony, gee George-that’s big of you to offer to repair a building that was in perfectly good condition before you ever got into Iraq and only was destroyed because of the mess you two created. BRAVO! oh yeah, and :fu:
Farmerkat, your post (28) made me think about the upcoming 3-yr anniversary of this stinkin’, stupid, senseless war. I remember how despondent I was on that first night. I was in class in Manhattan and really felt vulnerable, worried that Bush’s idiotic war of aggression might trigger some retaliation on U.S. soil(not necessarily Iraqi–I didn’t believe for a moment in the WMD tales, but I feared a 9/11-style reprisal). Even my husband thought we needed to be rid of Saddam. Yes, even my smart, liberal, skeptical husband bought the lies. (He quickly saw the error of his ways.) It was lonely being right.
Then, magically, a year later, we had Air America–MS specifically–and I knew I wasn’t alone.
MS made me smarter, gave me tools (humor) for coping, and made life in these crazy times bearable. I listened to AAR all day, every day. I would get up at 6 for MS even on days when I didn’t have to. Then I’d listen to the rebroadcasts on the weekends. When my back went out in July of ’04 and landed me in bed, AAR was what got me through the days. (Reading and watching TV were too painful.) I could laugh, rage, and know I was not alone.
I feel like I’m getting dumber because I don’t have my “live feed” anymore. As I’ve said many times, I no longer listen to AAR. Sometimes I’ll turn on the radio in the kitchen for the 10 minutes or so that I’m doing dishes or something, but that’s it. And the only reason I’ve let AAR back into my life even for 10 minutes has been the promise of Marc’s show. But the dream is dead, and even Marc’s show (if we can even get it in NY) will not resuscitate it.
I just can’t wait to see AAR’s numbers for the NY market this quarter. Stupid Danny Goldberg!

The play pokes fun at the fanciful language of love that courtiers used. When Claudio falls in love, he tries to be the perfect courtier by using intricate language. As Benedick notes: βHis words are a very fantastical banquet, just so many strange dishesβ (II.iii.18β19). Although the young gallants in the play seem casual in their displays of wit, they constantly struggle to maintain their social positions. Benedick and Claudio must constantly strive to remain in Don Pedroβs favor. When Claudio silently agrees to let Don Pedro take his place to woo Hero, it is quite possible that he does so not because he is too shy to woo the woman himself, but because he must accede to Don Pedroβs authority in order to stay in Don Pedroβs good favor. When Claudio believes that Don Pedro has deceived him and wooed Hero not for Claudio but for himself, he cannot drop his polite civility, even though he is full of despair. Beatrice jokes that Claudio is βcivil as an orange,β punning on the Seville orange, a bitter fruit (II.i.256). Claudio remains polite and nearly silent even though he is upset, telling Benedick of Don Pedro and Hero: βI wish him joy of herβ (II.i.170). Clearly, Claudio chooses his obedience to Don Pedro over his love for Hero.

Algeria, Vietnam, Iraq and the Conscience of the Intellectual
by Lawrence S. Wittner; February 22, 2006
“History,” the French philosopher Julien Benda once remarked, “is made from shreds of justice that the intellectual has torn from the politician.” This contention may overestimate the power of the former and underestimate the power of the latter. But it does point to a tension between intellectuals and government officials that has existed at crucial historical junctures–for example, in late nineteenth century France (where the term “intellectual was first coined in connection with the Dreyfus affair) and in the late twentieth century Soviet Union (where intellectuals provided the major source of dissent).
Β
This tension is well-illustrated by David Schalk’s excellent study, War and the Ivory Tower, an examination of intellectual engagement during France’s war in Algeria (1954 to 1962) and America’s war in Vietnam (1964 to 1975). Originally published in 1991 and reissued in 2005, this book has new prefaces by Benjamin Stora (a French historian, born in Algeria) and George Herring (a U.S. diplomatic historian), as well as a new introduction by Schalk (a specialist on European intellectual history).
Β
Schalk defines intellectuals by what he calls “their more abstract and distantiated social role which sharply contrasts with almost all others in a modern society. Their function involves a certain kind of creativity, usually through the written word and dealing with ideas in some fashion, often applying ideas in an ethical way that may question the legitimacy of the established authorities.” Thus, “a significant percentage of the professoriate and some journalists” can be classified as intellectuals, as can “a substantial portion of the artistic community . . . who theorize in print about their creativity.” In his view, “there was, and perhaps remains, a symbiotic relationship between the intellectual and engagement,” a French term meaning “critical dissent.”
Β
Schalk argues convincingly that there were remarkable similarities between the Algerian and Vietnam wars. These include: the use of torture; the looming precedent of the Nuremberg trials; anti-colonial revolt; the undermining of democracy; the murky style of diplomacy; the racist views of Western troops; the unjustified optimism and arrogance of military and political leaders; the forced relocation of civilian populations; and the transformation of the two nations’ countrysides into vast “free fire zones,” in which the military sought to destroy everything that moved.

Maron, a contemporary and friend of St. John Chrysostom, was a monk in the fourth century who left Antioch for the Orontes River to lead an ascetic life, following the traditions of St. Anthony of the Desert and St. Pachomius of Egypt. He soon had many followers that adopted his monastic life. Following the death of St. Maron in 410, his disciples built a monastery in his memory and formed the nucleus of the Maronite Church.

Was at the yard and garden show last night and tried to find a nicotiana plant but didn’t see any. I didn’t see everything but I looked through as many stalls as I could.
There was a KPOJ area but when I got there it was being used by people who wanted to sit for a minute. Dunno if anything was going on during the day. (I’m betting Tyger Tom puts in an appearance today or tomorrow.)
And I got a piece of candy I just totally want to send to someone in the current administration. It has about two dozen real ants encased in clear sugar candy. Any suggestions for recipient? I couldn’t get more than one and breaking it up would waste the effect…

Gypsy, I think sending it to DeLay (a former exterminator) is a no-brainer. BUT: Since you specified “this administration,” I would simply buy a caseload and have it delivered to the White House.

The Bush White House as a “Fifth Column”
Dubaigate Deconstructed
By JONATHAN M. FELDMAN
The Bush Administration’s championing of a disastrous war, its grievous neglect of homeland security in New Orleans, and its promotion of a Dubai company to manage key strategic ports all point in one direction. The Bush White House represents a fifth column, an insidious Trojan Horse aimed against not only the American people but also American democracy itself. The state is no longer a tool for rational governance, but a tool of corporate plunder. The ruling corporate elite that has taken over the White House is loyal to a transnational economy and the short term cash nexus. It is in fact the direct extension of that economy into the very workings of government itself. Despite their protestations to the contrary, this parasitic elite is not patriotic. They only use the rhetoric of “patriotism” as a cover for junking civil liberties, wrecking the economy, and enriching their cronies.
The Wikipedia Encyclopedia explains the origins of the term “fifth column.” Its first use was in a 1936 radio address by Emilio Mola, a Nationalist general during the Spanish Civil War: “As four of his army columns moved on Madrid, the general referred to his militant supporters within the capital as his ‘fifth column,’ intent on undermining the Republican government from within.”
The term has taken on other meanings. It is also used to refer “to a population who are assumed to have loyalties to countries other than the one in which they reside or who supported some other nation in war efforts against the country they lived in.”[…]

Reaganomics Revisited
Beyond the Glow of Nostalgia
By ROBERT POLLIN
I regularly read and appreciate the writings of Paul Craig Roberts on CounterPunch. Indeed, after reading his article “The True State of the Union,” which Roberts wrote soon after President Bush’s January 31 State of the Union speech, I sent a note out to all faculty and graduate students in my department with a link to the article, suggesting that they give it a serious look.
After I sent this note out, one of my faculty colleagues wrote me back, asking whether this was the same Paul Craig Roberts who was a leading exponent of Reaganomics and high official in the Reagan Treasury in the 1980s, and if so, my colleague asked, “what happened to this guy? He now sounds like Alex Cockburn.” I responded that it was indeed the same person, but, having never had any contact whatsoever with Roberts, I had no idea what, if anything, had happened to him since his days as a team member during the Reagan revolution. But Roberts himself answered my colleague’s question only a few days later, with his February 6 CounterPunch article, “Who Will Save America? My ‘Epiphany’.”
This article includes interesting observations both on splits among the Reaganite versus the neoconservative branches of Republicanism, as well as on Roberts’ own political history. But it also gives an unqualified, if brief, endorsement of the achievements of Reaganomics. I am always in favor of “letting a hundred flowers bloom” in political debates. However, I never thought this particular hardy right-wing perennial would emerge in CounterPunch. A response seems in order.
Roberts, to begin with, is apparently convinced that Reaganomics ended the era of high inflation in the U.S., and that this fall in inflation led to rising living standards for U.S. workers. As he wrote, “No doubt, the rich benefited,” from the fall in marginal tax rates, but “ordinary people were no longer faced simultaneously with rising inflation and lost jobs. Employment expanded for the remainder of the century without having to pay for it with high and rising rates of inflation.” […]

Who Will Save America?
My Epiphany
By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS
A number of readers have asked me when did I undergo my epiphany, abandon right-wing Reaganism and become an apostle of truth and justice.
I appreciate the friendly sentiment, but there is a great deal of misconception in the question.
When I saw that the neoconservative response to 9/11 was to turn a war against stateless terrorism into military attacks on Muslim states, I realized that the Bush administration was committing a strategic blunder with open-ended disastrous consequences for the US that, in the end, would destroy Bush, the Republican Party, and the conservative movement.
My warning was not prompted by an effort to save Bush’s bacon. I have never been any party’s political or ideological servant. I used my positions in the congressional staff and the Reagan administration to change the economic policy of the United States. In my efforts, I found more allies among influential Democrats, such as Senate Finance Committee Chairman Russell Long, Joint Economic Committee Chairman Lloyd Bentsen and my Georgia Tech fraternity brother Sam Nunn, than I did among traditional Republicans who were only concerned about the budget deficit.
My goals were to reverse the Keynesian policy mix that caused worsening “Phillips curve” trade-offs between employment and inflation and to cure the stagflation that destroyed Jimmy Carter’s presidency. No one has seen a “Phillips curve” trade-off or experienced stagflation since the supply-side policy was implemented. (These gains are now being eroded by the labor arbitrage that is replacing American workers with foreign ones. In January 2004 I teamed up with Democratic Senator Charles Schumer in the New York Times and at a Brookings Institution conference in a joint effort to call attention to the erosion of the US economy and Americans’ job prospects by outsourcing.)
The supply-side policy used reductions in the marginal rate of taxation on additional income to create incentives to expand production so that consumer demand would result in increased real output instead of higher prices. No doubt, the rich benefitted, but ordinary people were no longer faced simultaneously with rising inflation and lost jobs. Employment expanded for the remainder of the century without having to pay for it with high and rising rates of inflation. Don’t ever forget that Reagan was elected and re-elected by blue collar Democrats.
The left-wing’s demonization of Ronald Reagan owes much to the Republican Establishment. The Republican Establishment regarded Reagan as a threat to its hegemony over the party. They saw Jack Kemp the same way. Kemp, a professional football star quarterback, represented an essentially Democratic district. Kemp was aggressive in challenging Republican orthodoxy. Both Reagan and Kemp spoke to ordinary people. As a high official in the Reagan administration, I was battered by the Republican Establishment, which wanted enough Reagan success so as not to jeopardize the party’s “lock on the presidency” but enough failure so as to block the succession to another outsider. Anyone who reads my book, The Supply-Side Revolution (Harvard University Press, 1984) will see what the real issues were. . .
http://www.counterpunch.com
More from Pollin:
At the simplest factual level, it is not accurate that Reagan’s tax policies were responsible for bringing inflation down, from an average rate of 8.2 per cent under Nixon, Ford and Carter, to 4.6 per cent under Reagan. The main force here was the stringent monetary policies imposed by then Federal Reserve Chair Paul Volcker. Volcker was appointed not by Reagan but by Jimmy Carter in 1979. Carter appointed Volcker because Wall Street made it clear to Carter that he had no choice. Almost immediately on taking office, Volcker returned the favor to Carter by imposing the most severe global recession since the 1930s, which then doomed Carter’s chances for re-election in 1980.
Volcker did indeed break the back of persistent and rising inflation brought on primarily by the four-fold oil price increases in 1973-4 and again in 1979. But he achieved this at a very high cost, by no means in the costless manner suggested by Roberts. In Latin America, the 1980s were known as the “lost decade,” because of the debt crisis that followed from the 1980-82 Volcker-induced recession. . .

So that’s how that rightwing nutjob got foisted on us! Wall Street’s Volcker and his recession-creating policies.

Another Election Year Stunt?
The Democrat’s Pull Out Method
By JOSHUA FRANK
The Democrats are getting ready for the upcoming election season. Having done so poorly for the past, well, decade or so — they may finally be seeing an opportunity to capitalize on one of the Bush administration’s many misfortunes. Whether it’s Jack Abramoff’s lobbying sleaze, Cheney’s happy trigger finger, or Scooter Libby’s indictment — they sure have plenty of Republican mishaps to choose from.
They certainly would like us to believe they pulling it all together. The Democrats are trying to latch on to one of the many Bush blunders — they want us to believe they are finally catching on to the fact that the majority of Americans think this war isn’t going so hot. So the Democrats are putting forward a plan to get the troops out of Iraq. Seems like logical idea. People would go for that, they think. So, reluctantly, the Democrats have drawn up plans to do just such a thing. But, in order not to look soft of terror, the Dems won’t be calling for a “withdrawal” of US troops, rather, they’ll just “redeploy” ’em.
It’s tricky stuff, really.
On one hand the Democrats want to look tough, but on the other, they want to appease the antiwar crowd. It’s fiddly terrain…
http://www.counterpunch.org
Nicki: I would think that Carters Inflation was not caused to any great extent by rising oil prices in the middle 1970’s, because we imported only about 15% of our oil, but by the Fed printing money to pay our debts from the Vietnam war. At that time there were few foreign nations that had excess dollars with which to buy Tbills. Carter’s admin did much the same thing that Germany did in the 1920’s .. We had three straight years of 7% + inflation. RayGun by his trickle on economics made it attractive for the rich to buy Tbills. RayGun also sold Tbills to Japan which I think was the first time Tbills were sold to a foreign nation. Japan also invested in the US which helped expand our high tech industry and real estate. The Bush admin uses the lie method to make us think we have low inflation and unemployment.
I’m sure all that is related. My hunch is that the economist elites wanted to ultimately kill the New Deal. They were trying to quell the “Crisis of Democracy.” All related. Hartmann seems to have a good handle on this. (It’s his solution that I have a problem with.)

I am listening to Malloy’s show with Grffin of 0/11 conspiracy fame. Below is another book on the subject.
Five Unanswered Questions on 9/11
Ridgeway, Washington correspondent for the Village Voice, finds no hidden plot behind the 9/11 terrorist attack. Instead, he cites the open secret of a general and long-standing tendency to put American corporate interest ahead of the interest of citizens. Ridgeway focuses on five key questions: why the government couldn’t stop the attack, why it didn’t protect us, why we were unaware of plans for the attack, how U.S. “allies” abetted the attack, and why the 9/11 Commission couldn’t get at the truth. In separate chapters, Ridgeway examines the political and economic issues behind the questions and offers a grim look at the actions and inactions of the Bush administration, which left the nation vulnerable to the terrorist attack, unwilling or unable to act on intelligence that raised the possibility of such an attack, and still vulnerable to troubling policies and attitudes. The placing of airline profitability above public safety, the coziness existing between regulators and the airlines, and U.S and Middle Eastern funding of Islamic extremists are all elements inadequately explored by the 9/11 Commission, according to Ridgeway. Based on the PNAC documents in which the need for a new Pearl Harbor was pretty clearly stated I am convinced that the Bush admin and 9/11 was a MIHOP ( Made It Happen On Purpose) or LIHOP(Let It Happen On Purpose) act. There is nothing the Busivencs have done to make the US any safer since 9/11. All their wire taps and advertised possible suspensions of civil rights are merely PHYOPS to scare the populace.
This is kind of icky. I wonder just how much of this goes on routinely.
Boy, I feel bad for the people who received those transplants! That is really scary….who knows what diseases and infection might have been passed on to unsuspecting patients.
I love the Majority Report.
You know,, I am confused about this whole Dubai port thing. Why is it resonating so? When people (rightly) pitch a bitch about, say, China and Singapore buying into the US infrastructure, there is little traction.
At first, I thought it was because of pressure from the Israeli “amen corner”. But how can one explain the support for the deal by Lieberman, Krauthammer, and others? Could it be that congress is getting fed up with Bush’s machiavellian politics? 2006 elections?

Rachel thinks that this has something to do with a trade deal that the Saudis want….Its is just too crazy…I can figure it out but I have alot of ideas about it.
Stealing the bones if Aliester Cooke. That is so despicable. I used to listen to his BBC reports. Recently! He lived a long, fruitful life.
millions of dollars for tissue and parts!! What an idea, huh Krista?…eeekkkk!
Do you think that Cook had the clap?? There is a great story to spread around.
:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
Blasphemy. Melina!:omg::rofl2:
I guess that grave robbing has been a lucrative passtime since…well, probably since caveman times….
Blasphemy citizen kahn!:omg: You can kiss me now!:omg:
:rofl2::rofl2::omg:
Let it be known that I am nominating Cooke for sainthood!:nixon:
Where is my menorah?:rofl2::cake::nixon:
You, too Melina!:rofl2::nixon:
Here ya go, Nicki!
:menorah:
Hey, I loved Alistair Cooke, too. But Melina’s comment just made me laugh out loud.
co’mon Nicki- head on over to the Majority Report blog and tell em that Truthout says that Cooke had the clap…he got it in Israel!…from a Palistinian woman who got it from an Israeli guy!
Amy Goodman RULES!:omg::nixon:

sorry Nicki- Im still really sick and I cant focus….cough medicine and exhaustion
Riley already covered this, ATRIOS!:omg: Rick santorum is a corrupt creep!:omg:
Hey, Nicki . . . I’m not there either!
Atrios is one of those “realist” leftists . He unfortunately represents a lot of the middle that never manage to get anything accomplished.
Hey! I just swugged a bottle of cheap spanish red wine. Where is my chianti?
:omg::40:
I was about to mention something about the MR bloggers not liking having their wine and cheese party interrupted. Then Nicki chimes in…Where is the Swiss ??:eek::banana:
Then why did you order me over to that cesspool?:omg::rant1::rofl2::nixon:
From Raw Story:
Wonder whay Malloy is going to talk about this evening. He went great guns on 9/11 last night.
Where is the outrage, liberals?:omg::rofl2:
So what is Nicki’s alias tonight ?? You said you knew Melina wasn’t Fritz .. could it be ????. Fritz called in one night didn’t sound like a Nicki type :eek::omg:
Steven Colbert is a comedian!:omg: OK, Jonathon Swift!:omg:
I am not that nazi MFer fritz. What do you think my handle was tonight?
:rabbi:Service tonight at Blessed Maron Sharbel Church.:nixon::rabbi::omg::40:

Fritz sounds exactly like this guy I used to work with. I would have loved to have heard him because I would recognize his voice. I can’t really imagine this guy blogging, but I could be wrong.
Air America website is undergoing some changes.
One can only hope…
Hello :sheep:le. Somebody mentioned this site (Washington Conservation Corps) to me a second ago. They said they weren’t sure that I would be eligible for it becuase I’m not a resident. I’m checkin’ it out though. Be back in a bit
Oh, so when I show up the room clears. That’s cool. I can deal, for a little while, anyway.
I’m not really a haiku person. Sorry:tongue:
Ok, sheeple. I burnt out my overhead light, so I’ve got to turn off the breaker before I chance replacing it. So, that means I’m going to power down the computer for a little bit. But don’t you :sheep:le worry, I’ll be back. ( Don’t say it like Arnold, PLEASE!)

it’s perfect during the day:love::banana:
Is it me, or is that text on the AAR site still too damn small. I mean i know I could adjust my view to larger text, but I’ve never had to do that at any other sites before. WTF! man. No matter, I don’t post anything anyway… But how do you post a link like on the old blog, there’s no button for it? I’m so confused:doh: Oh, I think my eyes are fine. I mean look at this Uh-huh:nod:
Seventy degrees!:bow::rant1::bow::40:
holy shit!!
yeah Trav, that is really small….yet another way to piss off the bloggers:fu:
heehee….lovely, breezy seventy degree weather:banana::banana::rofl2::nod::love:
It’s like they F-ing waste all that space on the left and right of that tiny stuff in the middle… Maybe it will grow on people. I think in the morning the text is just too little to try and decipher.
yeah, i agree. i don’t need to be anymore blind damnit!!

Jeff Ross was a producer of Kids in the Hall I think, this LA thing is going to be good lots of funny:fire:
Marc Maron’s Fire Truck Productions
OH, NOOO! The poor lamp. I think it died. Hey, where’s the toaster.:smile:
That’s good stuff, QG. You should make a short film and post it for us sometime?:banana: Would that take along time?
Ok, I think I’m losing my battle with the Zs…:sheep:I’ll be counting them soon.:sheep:
hehe…glad you liked it!
you guys, i’m so hyper right now! someone should call riley and talk about Marc’s new show.

Quiet Girl, I couldn’t get the video to play π
yeah LJinOregon, jeff ross was a producer for The Kids….oh how i miss that show. even though i was a kid when it aired, i still loved it.:love::love:
Maybe PJ is having high level communications with Maron:grin:
isi, did you play the video from #196?
view it in 320
if that didn’t work, see if my other vid worked. it’s a few posts above it.
:banana:Marc Maron!!!!!!! Marc Maron Moment!

DUDE! riley didn’t even say anything about Marc! π₯
Marc just did a promo on rileys show for the new show!!!:rofl2:
I went to the Air America Radio site and I don’t see anything about the Maron Show. That’s Fuckin’ false advertising! I want my money back…
I’m losin’ it
Quiet girl, I got the Quagmire video. Is that your animation?? Cool :banana:
I have a feeling we’re going to get a big ‘ol surprise from PJ shortly :banana:

(Continuing yesterday’s haiku theme because I can’t draw cartoons.)
Woo hooo! :banana: Where’s the new Friday thread?
I’m off of work that day too! :40:
PJ was either taken by the Feds, slept in, or has a surprise for us on this happy day!!!:banana:
hey Jason and Kevin!!
thanks Kevin for the Haiku:banana::nixon::lol:
I think I either have to go to sleep or find some munchies until I know for sure that PJ didn’t have a heart attack.:doh: I hope you’re right isi.
Did someone kidnap Pj? :doh::cry:
:rofl2::billcat:
Good on ya, quiet girl!
Hey, Jason! We’re not sure. Hope he didn’t slip on a banana peel:banana:
Hey QG, Kevin,isi and Travis! It’s always great to come home from work and have an email from Marc sittin’ in my inbox! Woo-hooo! :banana::billcat::fist::alc:
I wonder if they’ll play another Marc bit on Rachel’s show….:fire:
thanks isi:mrgreen:
wouldn’t it be great if Rachel and Kent played some Lawton to promote Marc’s show!!!??:omg::love:
Aaaaawwww Lawton, I miss Lawton….the only right winger I have sympathy for for a few minutes….:sheep:
So, anybody know how to roll your own podcast from the live stream? I don’t think I’ll be able to be up at 1AM to catch the funny, and want to be able to listen the next day without paying that bastard Goldberg.
anticoagulant :billcat: Maybe PJ found that Hallucenogenic tea stash:paranoid:
:sammy: :
Despite what the KTLK website would have you believe, Windows Media Player is not the only way to access the station stream.
Opening the following address in Real Player will also do the trick:
http://www.ktlk.com/cc-common/streaming_new/index.html
I think we have a newbie….Hey, want a doobie?:bong:
Thanks Kary π
Becky- did you check out the replay A/V? or Wiretap for Mac?
this is so odd……now i’ll be able to hear Marc at a decent hour of the night!! i can do 10-12!!
sorry you guys on the east coast have to either record it or pay freakin AAR!! damn you goldberg!!
but hey, i’ve been there. i would wake up at 3am to hear the Sedition:yawn: yup yup
Good morning everyone! Congratulations, its a…a…a…a….aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yeah thanks Kary! :fist:
Kary!!! hello there!:banana::banana::nixon:
I think we have a newbieβ¦.Hey, want a doobie? :bong:
Thanks for sharing…:peace:
I know what you mean QG. I’ve been one of the lucky ones. Being here in Japan. MS was perfect, came on in the primetime. Now, I’ll have to podcast atleast half the time. Boo….oh well. Anything for the Funny! :fire:
I’ll be doing the replay thing…it works great! Kevin, get the video one because we dont know how much they will be using streaming video…what with the turks and trying it with Sam they may find that its a must if youre charging for a stream, and then you would want to have it! Plus its a cool thing too have and the iPod is smaller than the picture one of the same storage size!…unless youre going for a Nano or something…might as well get the video. Dont even take the protective plastic off…just slip it into its case carefully! Thet scratch immediately…Im sure Ive told you this….IM sick…so sick…forgive me for being repetitious…its a think that happens when you fall in love with an iPod!
just woke up from a nap and found a start date in my inbox for Marc’s show! YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!! :nixon::love::love::banana:
I hope he still talks about what is going on…comedy really needs to have some current events in there for me to like it….but Ive liked everyhting hes done!
Hey Gaijinda! :gate: Good news eh? And they played a Maron bit on the Riley show too….
where is PJ?
Yeah, he’ll talk about what’s going on. He’ll just mix in the hilarity along with it…:razz:
well, he will lose the constraints on having to make sure the whole morning thing is taken care of….the mornign has so many important intros and outros that screw people up if you dont get em right
awwww man! I missed the bit! I fell asleep as soon as I got home from work today! maybe they’ll do another during Rachel’s show! :tongue:
Yeah…where IS PJ? :paranoid:
Kevin M-thanks for the lovely haiku about me! π
This will be a great format for him…hopefully we can start a movement to get it syndicated nationally!! Internationally!
and next…Al’s spot…or Jerrys spot…or… Randi’s spot!
I guess PJ had a heart attack because he tripped on a banana peel, while drinking hallucinogenic tea. That’s just happened man, I know it.:omg:
So, all is well….Now they have to fix the Riley show…he needs a co-host at least
I hope he is OK…If he has this sickness he should be able to start a new day at least…but its all downhill form there. Im afraid that I may have pnemonia…can you have it if you cant spell it?
Fire Truck Productions along with MorningSeditionist.com present The Marc Maron Show! The show that took the World by storm! :fire::fist::40:
I think there’s a u somewhere in there
I hope you get better soon Melina. Large doses of vit. C will do wonders!
Farmerkat mentioned something about Energen C or something. Look for that, it may help, Melina
Yea hope Marc still talks about the issues he got so darn good at it :fire:
Melina, feel better real soon!!!:nod:
hopefully it’s just from lack of the funny. if that’s the case, you should feel better by tuesday:nod::cool::fire:
Thanks, Melina. I’ll give Replay A/V a whirl…. I have a shiny new iPod that’s primed for some groovy Maron….
:bong:
Jason Im taking some great Isotonix vitamins lately…They are a powder you mix in warer for optimal assimilation…I went and got their C and have been taking 500 thoroughout the day along with lots of tea…but I also went on antibiotics because this is very scary and the pediatrician put my son directly on some, which they dont usually do. some bad shit is going round here….
Becky when you set it up you click on the show in the menu windo of what is recording and on one of the tabs there you say to transfer it to MP3 and put it into your iPod. YOu can also have it add chapters. Sometimes mine takes a while to get into my ipod and IM trying to get the time to sit down with it and find its scheduling for updating iTunes and iPod, so I dont have to wait an hour or whatever….If I mess with it I can go through iTunes and grab what I want but I like it to just be in the ipod. And I have them also saved into a folderon my desktop in MP3 and Real….its so cool and east ot burn to CDs or whatever.
Why do we have to go through this Natalie Holloway thing again? I feel bad for these people but I dont like that we spend this kind of time on a white blonde girl on carribean vacation!
Has PJ ever been this late before?
I’ve gotten sick atleast twice every winter since I was 18. Really bad sick, ear infections, strept throat. This was partially do to smoking and being from cold Iowa. For the last two years I’ve been taking 2,000 mg of C everyday and haven’t been sick since….
OUCH – but I hear it’s worth it!
Firetruck Productions is beautiful. NOW where did our pj go off to on this joyous day:?:
-> I think it was haiku day that raised maron from the ashes β
I bet PJ is working on the site. If something was wrong, his wife would post something. :nod:
:bow: all hail the haiku :bow:
Josie, on TRMS, has a great radio voice!
Rachel, take voice lessons from Josie :nod:
becky – yay you got your ipod!!!
melina – yes, Emergen-C is a MUST
Farmer- I always use those emergen-c’s but then I found this other stuff. I guess they are aroudn the same but I think that there is some way that this is suspended that makes for more absorbtion…Im trying to learn more about it.
I am beyond vitamins, unfortuntely!
Havent had anything like this in a long time!
when rachael gets excited, her voice is even worse. btw, her “goat” sound does NOT sound like any goat I’ve had. Freddie “talks” to me every day when I give him his asprin.
okay you guys….it’s time for me to sleep for half and hour and then get up for school…..grrrr:rant1:
but i think i can even survive class today on this joyous day!!:love::love:
have a good day..and evening Seditionists!!
see ya later, fornicators!!:priest::nixon::banana::bow:
Jason…I hope you stopped smoking! I think that really screws up the whole system…and no one loves cigarettes more than me!!…but, its just not to be considering how poisonous they are.
Maybe PJ and his wife are having a little, you know, quality time?
PJ IS HERE – NEW BLOG
I really like rachel, but I like everyone with a show longer than an hour to have some sort of co-host…and I dont know if Kent is the right co-host…if there was someone else it might work better. I wouldnt not have Kent, but they have a sort of strange geeky thing happening that is sometimes cringe inducing for me.
HEY, YOU GUYS!!!!!
Move on over to Friday’s blog!
:rabbi::nixon:
Hey! I am the only bigot who is registered on this blog. All past postings were self-referential. Does this make me a postmodernist? I am polishing off a bottle of cheap Spanish red wine.
:holla:HEY i’m a bigot too!!!!!:doh:
sean, you’re on the wrong blog. this is thursday’s blog. go over to friday’s! you haven’t had too much wine already have you?
:nixon::rabbi::rofl2::omg::40:
