This is a lazy morning. Even the dogs slept late (because I walked them after 11 last night}. Lincoln has not posted new photos so even he is being lazy. But, I’ve got some work to do and I’m having a hard time convincing myself to get to it.
I did a lot of channel changing last night, because there was so much discussion of Edwards’ dalliance that I didn’t want to hear. Who cares? What is there to say? He isn’t the Dem nominee, he didn’t do anything unusual like dressing in a diaper (and the guy who did got a standing ovation when he returned to the Senate.) He joined the ranks of millions of other men and women who have had sex outside of their marriages.
The only thing this proves is that the media is idiotic and biased. But we know that.
Just finished watching the US women’s hoops team (in HD, of course) kick the crap out of Czechoslovakia, winning by 40 points. The US coach looks kind of like a young Mrs. Doubtfire.
Holy shit, Bernie Mac died.

That’s a lovely memory, Vernon. Unfortunately his spawn, Cheney, is even worse. If Cheney were impeached and Rove jailed, we would at least be able to survive these last 163 days.
I think seeing Rove led off to jail would be an extremely pleasurable moment. Chaney’s impeachment, wouldbe pretty fine, too.
They learned a lot from the ‘mistakes’ of Nixon. Things like lie no matter what, destroy all of the evidence, try to change the rules, just ignore the rules, kill if necessary…
They did learn a lot. None of it about the good of the Country.

Watching the Olympic boxing right now. These announcers are classic. A couple of real mopes. Looks good in HD, though. The womens beach volleyball promos in HD look great, too. :hubba: Can’t wait. Good thing I’m here alone all week.
Just saw one of the Obama ads (I guess he has a really big buy for the Olympics). If we can sort of set aside whether or not we think he sucks or not, I thought it was a very effective ad. It tied renewable/alternative energy and the environment to job growth.
Again, just on the “process” side of things it’s looking like a smart campaign, so far. He’s got a money edge, makes a big advert buy for the Olympics, and uses this week to take a quick vacation and recharge his batteries. Meanwhile McCain’s campaign looks dottery and confused.
Kind of like looking at a shiny new penny next to an old torn and wrinkly piece of paper that’s been through the wash a few times.
