Today on Press the Meat, Tom Brokaw has an “exclusive” with John McCain (that ought to be pretty sickening). Then it’s a roundtable discussion with pollster Charlie Cook, redheaded alien chick Kelly O’Donnell and Chuckie Todd.
On Faze the Nation, it’ll be Robert Rubin, McCain minion Doug Holtz-Eakin, PA Gov. Ed Rendell, and MN Gov Tim Pawlenty.
More Governors on tap at Fux Nes Sunday, as weaselface Wallace hosts Tim Kaine of VA, ex-PA Gov Tom Ridge (McCain lackey), and of course the Pillsbury Dough Nazi, Karl Rove.
AT the Goebbels network, George Snufalufagus hosts the sad and pathetic little Lindsey Graham, and the rather sleazy Rahm Emanuel. Then, at the roundtable, the axis of drivel is reunited again as George :jerk: Will, Sam :omg: Donaldson, and Cokie “the hag” Roberts are joined by obnoxious Reagan fellator Peggy Noonan.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Steve Kroft tells us all about credit default swaps (he must have listened to This American Life), Charlie Rose talks to T. Boone Pickens, and Scott Pelley tells us about Greg Carr, who’s trying to get more tourists to go to Gorongosa national park in Mozambique.
Enjoy your Sunday.
The Anchorage Daily News, Alaska’s biggest newspaper, has endorsed Obama!

Christian right intensifies attacks on Obama
“Terrorist strikes on four American cities. Russia rolling into Eastern Europe. Israel hit by a nuclear bomb. Gay marriage in every state. The end of the Boy Scouts.
“All are plausible scenarios if Democrat Barack Obama is elected president, according to a new addition to the campaign conversation called “Letter from 2012 in Obama’s America,” produced by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family Action.”
When will these right-wing terror organizations masquerading as religious groups going to be arrested? They have been brainwashing and terrorizing Americans for decades. James Dobson, Pat Robertson and others have done as much as or more damage to the United States as any middle eastern terror organization. It is past time to end this reign of domestic terrorism.
This is why I think we should keep Guantanamo open. We need some place to put these people. Besides, we don’t want Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez and Boehner to be lonely.

I watched Uncounted last night.
I am still very worried.

There’s a bunch of these. A nice antidote if you had the misfortune to watch Widdle Wyin’ Windsey Gwaham on ABC This Week.

I’m streaming obama live on channel 9. Can someone give me a short ‘for idiots 101’ instruction about how to capture it? http://www.9news.com

David Frum has written that McInane is osing in such a way as to take down the Rethug party with him. You can read the whole thing here.
But, this is what got me:
Second, the political culture of the Democratic Party has changed over the past decade. There’s a fierce new anger among many liberal Democrats, a more militant style and an angry intolerance of dissent and criticism. This is the culture of the left-wing blogosphere and MSNBC’s evening line-up — and soon, it will be the culture of important political institutions in Washington.
Has Frum not seen the videos of the wingnuts at rallies? Is their raving not the height of anger? If the left is angry, and it is and should be, the right is foaming at the mouth and, as usual, it is mindless hate they spew.
I think he implied as much when he was talking to that angry liberal Rachel Maddow
Obma went down into the crowd from the podium to shake hands in a crowd of 75000. I think he freaked out the secret service. He’s going deep into the crowd- pretty brave- hopefully not foolish.
Frum is the epitome of piece of shit in my book. I like what Olbermann said about his inane and petulant attempt to ambush Rachel and how politely and methodically she beat him back, something like “Well, she is Rachel”.
Thanks for the heads up on that speech, art. Sure saw a lot of hate and anger there. Which one do you think was fred? There will be another one later.
Sorry but capture is above my pay grade.
Maybe we’ll see fred in Fort Collins. He lived up that way I believe. It was a pretty standard ‘bama speech- nothing worth saving cept for the history. I think he said Mcnutty had realigned himself with bush as of this morning. Can’t remember the exact words. Whew! It’s hard to keep up with mkkrazy- Maybe it’s late late male menopause.
Fort Collins speech is @ 3:30pm MST. I’ll be trying to forget there’s an “NFL” team alledgedly here in Denver.
vern- who was that guy?
I just always find it reassuring to watch O’Bama speak.
If you mean the music video it is Buddy Miller, excellent guitarist/sideman (EmmyLou, Steve Earle, Allison Krause/Robert Plant…) and brilliant songwriter.
I find good country music reassuring sometimes. Thanks.
art, I love good country music.
This was a great story on NPR yesterday about the greatest country musician of all time (not his son whose brains must have spilled out when his head was split open).
Hank Williams’ Lost Music: Rare And Resurfaced
Now I must prepare to watch my once proud NFL franchise that I saw dismantle the Broncos in Super Bowl 24 in the Superdome in NOLa. Enjoyed hearing Elway’s speechifying for McSame. btw.
New coach Mike Singletary taking the helm and maybe some tire kicking for SF native and Seattle coach Mike Holmgren as future 49ers GM.
This is Buddy with his wife Julie who is also a songwriter. They are very religious but in the way I always thought Christian was meant to be.
Barack Obama drew a crowd of over 100,000 at a rally in Denver on Sunday, the AP reports:
The Obama campaign released an initial crowd estimate of 75,000 people. That was later upgraded to “well over” 100,00 people, a tally confirmed by a Denver police spokesman.

Those crowds will probably of ‘Hitlerian’ proportions in the media. I am very intrigued by what the O’Bama’s closer will be in the next week. I imagine it will be great strategy.
I just hope that since the McCains don’t have a clue that theirs is not a hideous hate inspiring scorched earth effort that will totally fook things up for a long time

Some of these are fun to watch, based on which incumbent Repigs might get to go home after next Tuesday. I have a friend in KY who is working for Bruce Lunsford’s Senate campaign, and she thinks they have a good shot at beating Mitch McConnell, which would be most excellent. Not to mention Sen. Stuart Smalley in MN.
Bob Dole here. Looks like Liddy might be coming home. Better get some more Viagra, because Bob Dole will be getting him some every night, not just on the weekends.
What’s this? A campaign ad for Kay Hagan? That’s the woman that’s beating Bob Dole’s wife! Damn. Bob Dole likes what he sees. So does Little Bob. Little Bob likes her a LOT. :hubba:
Bob Dole is going to force a pen into his hand and write a check to Kay Hagan’s campaign. Bob Dole might not need all that Viagra after all!
(This is Kevin again, who will also be writing another check to Kay Hagan’s campaign and hoping that she never ever reads the above.)
Local news reporting 45 to 50,000 in Fort Collins
hmmm, I don’t think this is good. think they’ll retaliate before 11/4 – bush’s october surprise? i know two people who are up there right now…… :gate:
Sexy, Sexy Sirota in Denver
‘kat,
I saw the beginning of that story earlier and my exact thought was “Well, this can’t be good”.
Are they trying to provoke a UN condemnation and make that an issue now? I can just see that now. “O’Bama will let the United Nations decide how we conduct our business”.
Hope your two people are OK.
Sheesh.
i know they were okay this a.m. except both have miserable colds. it’s the aftereffects of that incursion that has me concerned. Then add this little ditty and i think there are going to be some angry people in that part of the world (like they needed help). this ole world needs some help. :peace:
Universal healthcare, strong unions, net neutrality, that’s what the Wall Street Journal fears.
What am I doing? The WS is over for the night (sorry, Kevin) and I am watching a Reagan doc.
Shoot me now or maybe Desperate Housewives is on.
Oh, joy, it is!
