I don’t have a whole helluva lot to say today, except that, like most people, I have a lot to be thankful for today. And – also probably like most people – I spend way too much time bitching about shit that for the most part doesn’t matter, and not enough time being grateful for the shit that does.
So I’ll just wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving for you and yours, and thanks so much for having become a part of my life. Have a good day, y’all.

Apparently there is a pair of wingnuts who are grateful that they have not been made any smarter than they were before the election:
When the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court meet on Dec. 5th, in their regular private conference to decide which cases to hear, two lawsuits that have captivated a segment of the blogosphere will be up for discussion.
Both urge the court to consider claims that President-elect Obama is not qualified to be president, because he is not a natural-born American citizen.

Always a pleasure to read your blog first thing in the morning. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Happy Thanksgiving y’all. We got thunderstorms here all day, which is kinda cool.
The youtube imbeds won’t play.

Apple pies done!
Hey SJ! I love to see your sunny self post here! Turkey’s a bastin’, pie’s a bakin’ and soup’s a cookin’ . I hope everything is done on time. Nothing more embarrassing than everyone a waitin’. 😳
Sweet rolls almost done! :yippee: :dancers:
I started a Black Friday tradition of my own a few years ago when Bad Santa came out. To avoid the shoppers, instead I go to a movie, preferably a comedy, preferably something raunchy.
This year it’s Zach and Miri Make A Porno. I have to bus over to Tampa to see it, but it will be worth it. Maybe I can finally start in on The Shock Doctrine during the busride over and back. I’ve had that book for so long without finishing it that I feel like writing a letter of apology to Naomi Klein.
In the meantime, what did I do with those leftovers? And that bottle of wine?
:turkey: :alc:
Happy :turkey: Day, Bloggies!
Vern, LOVED #2 — Here’s an alternate set of lyrics from the Raging Grannies:
Where Are Our Rights???
Tune: Turkey in the Straw Adapted by Alice Sutter, NYC RGs
Oh Homeland Security has plans that cannot fail
If you’re Ahmed or Mohammed you’ll get thrown in jail
With no charges or ID you will sit tortured and alone
While your frantic family looks for you, with no address or phone!
We gotta stop this! Where are our rights?
Gotta stop sleeping! Stand up and fight!
Are we really at our best
With the Raging Grannies sittin’ on the Terrorist List?
The (air quotes) “Christian†Right Agenda has sick and stupid rules
With attacks on gays and women and Muslims and the Jews.
Well, Homeland Security will keep us safe and blessed
Since they put the Raging Grannies on the Terrorist List!
We gotta stop this! Where are our rights?
Gotta stop sleeping! Stand up and fight!
Are we really at our best
With the Raging Grannies sittin’ on the Terrorist List?
Yes, they came for the Communists. They came for the Jews.
They will come for me, and they will come for you.
The silence here is deafening and self destructive too,
Only together can we all pull through!
We gotta stop this! Where are our rights?
Gotta stop sleeping! Stand up and fight!
Are we really at our best
With the Raging Grannies sittin’ on the Terrorist List?
