It’s already 45 degrees out there this morning, and if the sun comes out, we could get near 60! Whatever will I wear to the park?
I dunno, there’s just something disturbing about Rachel Maddow being on The View. Leno? Kinda odd, I guess. But The View? And getting “praise” from that twit Elizabeth Hassebeck? Oy.
Speaking of disturbing, why doesn’t Michele Bachmann just shut the fuck up? I mean, she’s stupid, even by Republican standards. Minnesota, dude, what were you guys thinking?
Oh well, the morning seems to be slipping away from me here, so I better get ready to get going. Happy Friday, y’all.
I must disagree with you, PJ, Michele Bachmann is NOT dumb by Republican standards. Just think of Quail and Palin, or remember that Bobby Jindal is considered one of their really really smart ones.
Commercials for FreeCreditReport.com have reached a saturation point in the consciousness of the television-watching public. The affable, scruffy young man with the guitar — alternately a victim of identity theft or plain old bad credit — has sung his way into our hearts and minds.

Consumer advocates say it’s a fundamentally dishonest business, because a person who registers with the Web site only gets a free credit report after enrolling in a $14.95-a-month credit-monitoring program.

Experian paid $950,000 to settle Federal Trade Commission charges of deceptive advertising in 2005, and $300,000 for the same reason in 2007. By federal law enacted in 2003, consumers are entitled to a free credit report every year, available at AnnualCreditReport.com.
“A million dollar fine every five years is chump change,” says Mierzwinski. “That’s gonna keep them off the Golf Channel.”
After the FTC’s wrist-slapping, a disclaimer appeared on FreeCreditReport.com alerting consumers that if “you don’t cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership.” Mierzwinksi attributes the FTC’s leniency to an overly business-friendly Bush administration.

I guess that proves the failure of the Obama Administration. On the bright side, high unemployment = cheap labor.
Another 651,000 jobs were lost in February, adding to the millions of people who have been thrown out of work as the economic downturn deepens.

The economy has now shed more than 4.4 million jobs since the recession started in December 2007, and economists expect that the losses will continue over the rest of the year and into 2010. The economy lost an upwardly revised 655,000 jobs in January, when the unemployment rate rose to 7.6 percent. December job loss was revised to 681,000, from 577,000.

This must be a great thing, ’cause the stock market rose on the news!
I have a bit of a kindle 2.0 yearning
At the end of class I had a brief conversion, if it can even be called that, with tattooed girl. I needed to get my graded assignment on the other side of the class and said before traversing across, “Do you want to wait a second?”
“No.” She replied.
She gave me her number a few days ago, so I was a bit perturbed by the utterance of no. I laughed and shrugged out of anxiety and walked on down the line.
This is the end of that chapter.
I think the reason it is easier to meet someone at a dog park is that the setting provides a starting point for a conversation: dogs.
Lola is 10 weeks old and almost 10 pounds. She is growing very fast.
Plus, it’s been my experience that dog people are really great people. It’s tough to be pretentious when you’re holding a bag of dog shit while watching three or four dogs do the butt sniff circle dance.

for the geeks here. I thought this was interesting:
Why I Sued Google (and Won)
Wow. Not conversion, I mean conversation. Logic terms are seeping out of my subconscious
Rachel looked like some sort of Amazonian with those “View” women. She must have good posture or something.
Bachmann is stupid and evil, crossed with an OCTO-MOM complex. I think she had something like 23 foster children plus 5 of her own. I think she misplaced a few and I bet some turned into axe murderers.
One more thing.
On yesterday’s BreakRoom post-show chat, Marc brought up the subject of Jim Earl after being nudged by an IM. He said Jim was a young man with anger problems, but is a genius in the humor dept. Apparently he got married recently and Marc said he will give Jim a call soon. Also Lawton Smalls was supposed to make an appearance on today’s show.
Lawton on Monday
God loves you all, deal with it.
Marc the Sharc, too, soon !!!
