My teleprompter’s down, so I’ve got nothing to say. Except there’s a woot off today.
I had mentioned that I heard Brent Bozell talk about Obama’s use of cue cards at the Media Dishonor Awards and I tried to be a Rethug to see if I would find it funny. I failed at the Rethug morphing and all I could think was that it sounded so lame.
But, to me, they always sound either lame or ridiculous or vicious.
I think the Rethugs are floundering but I’m sure they have followers just the same. I just hope their followers are dwindling.
When a vaccine designed to protect girls against a sexually transmitted virus arrived three years ago, the debate centered on one question: Would the shots make young girls more likely to have sex?
Now the vaccine’s maker is trying to get approval to sell the vaccine for boys, and the debate is focusing on something else entirely: Is it worth the money, and is it safe and effective enough?

The argument is, of course, coming from what Rethugs call their base.
“Clearly what we’ve been doing has not worked,” Clinton told reporters on her plane at the start of her two-day trip, saying that U.S. policies on curbing drug use, narcotics shipments and the flow of guns have been ineffective.

Clinton’s visit comes as some prominent Latin Americans are urging the United States to reexamine its drug policies. Last month, former presidents of Brazil, Colombia and Mexico called on the United States in a report to consider legalizing marijuana use and focusing more on treatment for drug users. Obama has emphasized his support for expanded treatment facilities, although not for allowing marijuana use.

Now I have to get ready for work. A very short day today with a very late start. Therefore, even though I could muster an I gotta work complaint, I will be humble and grateful…a least for today.
The other day I had 5 deer jump out in front of me and refrained from crashing while riding my bike, unlike the clumsy Matt Lauer. I think Lance Armstrong is done for the Tour as well due to a bike crash.
Saw this today:
There goes my summer vacation.
And to think, Matt Lauer makes like $13.5 million a year. That seems like a lot of money to me, even in Manhattan.
Good morning everyone. I’m still here. And I hate my job like everyone else. We wouldn’t want enthusiastic employees now, would we? :fustrate:
I’m on vacation the rest of the week :dancers: so naturally, there is a blizzard going on-2″ an hour that will stop at about 18-20″ tomorrow 😡
so, like a doofus, I’m signed up on http://www.Whitehouse.gov to watch obama answer 45 questions about the economy 🙄 and of course all the questions so far are about education and student loans since everyone’s on spring break
I just noticed that it was “education” questions that were being highlighted. When you move the cursor to “Financial stability” the top three questions are about legalizing pot. :bong:
By golly, we’ll grow our way out of this one way or the other :bong: :bong:
6″ so far and “the heavy stuff isn’t going to start til 3pm” :cold: :cold:
He just said that legalizing pot wouldn’t be the best way to save the economy 🙁 More importent is what he didn’t say-whether it should be legalized. :pup:
Just closed down all Jefferson County government (Golden and Lakewood) and sent everyone home. 1 foot so far.
House Republican leaders called a press conference Thursday to unveil their “alternative budget.” While it was thin on specifics, it does include one major policy proposal: a huge tax cut for the wealthy.

Ritter has declared a state-wide emergency. Turnpike is closed. I70 west is closed. They just said 14″ where I’m at, 12″ in Boulder.
I’m making chili- two meat, two bean- yeah, chili!
