So, Caribou Barbie has finally left the building. She should do well on the Republican lecture circuit, where she can feed the wingnuts plenty of red meat, served with a liberal (please excuse the expression) helping of folksiness. She should do great, as long as she’s got a script. Good for her, I guess. For somebody whose career clearly should have peaked at being mayor of Wasilla, she’s certainly come a long way. I kinda doubt she’ll ever run for national office again, but you never know. If she does the work and realizes that you can’t just come up with some beauty pageant bullshit answers (only Dubya was able to get away with that), you never know.
But, if she was smart and hardworking enough for that, she’d probably have made it as a sportscaster and not had to fall back on public service. Hopefully the Palin Tour will make its way to a high school auditorium near you. If she comes to Syracuse, we can show her our Golden Snowballs.
:omg:
This day can’t end fast enough, or is pj trying to kill th MS Blog? Ptooey!
:barf:
I made this comment yesterday, “Her career in media will be strictly garbage in, garbage out. She can’t think/speak on her feet or ad lib. She really will be the slave of scripts and teleprompters.” and then later as I watched her final speech I was not so sure. If that was the best she could do knowing full well for weeks how observed that event would be, The content and delivery were very weak overall. The only thing that might save her could be the swelling of the ranks of intellectual morons by the self-fulfailing attitudes and policies of her kindred pols and their followers toward public education.
I’m not sure Palin won’t be a big hit with the Right. First, she’s pretty and, listening to the Right-wing men, that’s the thing they mention most…or perhaps entirely. Second she spouts phrases that generate applause even though they either mean nothing or they are the opposite of Rethug philosophy.
For instance, she talks about developing the resources of Alaska for the people. Rethugs don’t really like socialized distribution of assets. They prefer to compensate corporations and allow the corporations to underpay their workers and destroy the land.
Most of all, the folks who like her are not the brightest lights and she does not challenge them intellectually, as perhaps a third grade math test might.
I cannot believe she could win a national election, but the nomination of the Rethugs is possible.
I do think that Barbie doll image above exposes illuminates the true inner Palin.
Somre really nice hawks pictures, today.

Internal RNC Memo: “Engage In Every Activity” To Slow Down Health Care Reform
Baby Bites Al Franken
Truth is babies and puppies bite.
Many years ago there was a crow named Charlie on Shelter Island. Charlie was quite a character and he loved to swoop down on us hapless folks and steal pencils and pens from our hands or anything else he could get his little crow feet on. I couldn’t tell Charlie from the other crows by face but his actions were unique enough so that most people recognized him and said, “Hello, Charlie.” Ever responsive he’d say hello, too.
This looks pretty cool PJ. If I can sqiurrel away the money for a new system that is.
Watching all the screeching Palin regurgatation on MSNBC, it occured to me that if there was a horror movie with a gigantic insect leader trying to take over the world it would have the voice of Sarah Palin.
