Damn, it’s hard to believe that a loss of one stinking hour would be so hard to get over, but I still feel like I’m walking around in a big bowl of Jello (and with another damn test tonight to study for).
Of course, our thoughts are with Kat today, as she heads off to the shop to get some work done. Here’s hoping for the briefest possible hospital stay (having worked, waited, and spend some time in hospitals, I think I’m justified in saying they suck). I’m sure Kat will be out and running marathons again in no time. Mike’s got the toughest job of the day, spending all those hours in the waiting room (and being tortured by CNN – or worse, Fox News – while he waits). Everybody start sending out that positive energy at about 8:00 this morning, and keep putting it out ther for the rest of the day.
haha!!! first!!:banana::nixon:
FarmerKat, good luck today!! everything will be fine. we all love you and are sending that lucky, postive energy that only Seditionists have:love::banana::nixon::fist:
morning qg . . . everyone not yet awake. I hope I survive the morning. Some hellacious storms moving this way. I think I’m gonna stay in today. Maybe I’ll finally get around to doing my taxes. Looking forard to tonights show . . . hope there won’t be a clippers game to fuck it up.
hey there cnickthomas!!! yeah, just stay in and be safe! be careful out there. mother nature can be a bitch!!:spank:
haha…this is disturbing!
here’s the site Wholly Love, that Riley mentioned :rofl2::spank:
awwww…Riley played Marc’s short order news from friday…it felt like the old days for about a minute!!:-(
hey…it’s Mrs. riley’s birthday today:cake:
so many birthday’s lately….. oh! happy belated birthday to Mr. Citizenkahn:cake:
:banana::40:
oh damn…..there’s that UCLA game going on today. stupid bruins!! why do they have to be so good!:fu:
anyway, the tip off is at 6:20pm pacific time. does this mean short show or no show at all tonight??:fustrate:
:knit: la dee da
Mornin’, all.
On behalf of hubby, I thank you, QG!
And, of course, all good, strong, positive Seditionist energy ro FK today!
yay!!!
hey Citizen!!:nixon:
Good morning quietgirl! The UF/UCLA game should be over well before Marc’s show starts. Go Gators! (It will make life more pleasant around the office this week if they win.)
FK, good luck today. We’re all thinking of you.
Krista, do we get to see some pix?
hey Kevin!
that’s good that the game should be over in time. i need the funny today.:fustrate:
yeah, Krista, do we get to see lovely pics?:nod:
this is pathetic!! i live in LA and i still haven’t seen Marc at a show!!!! :fustrate:
Hey, PJ. For what it’s worth, I’m feelin’ the loss of an hour, too.
🙁
Oh, yeah. I forgot to comment on Krista’s post last night. Sounds like a great evening–I’m envious!
QG, you’re up very late/early, aren’t you exhausted?
Oh yeah, you’re young–I forgot! (What a difference 25 years make.)
kevin…even though it’d be better for you if UF won, i have to say GO BRUINS!!! although they did delayed the show a few times……:growl:….eh, i have to cheer on the home team.
yes CK, young quietgirl has not been to bed yet. it’s 4:20am over here…….:rofl2: 4:20…..why the hell am i still amused by that?!?!
but yes, i think i’ll go to bed for a few hours soon:yawn:
i try not to stay awake all night if i can help it. a few months ago i stayed up working on stuff all nice for about 2 weeks straight. after the 2 weeks, i started getting really sick. it was so bad that i had a fever that wouldn’t go away for almost a week. it was awful…plus i had to miss a week of school…and when your classes are 4 hours each, you miss alot in one week.
so, that kinda scared me from doing all nighters. i take a lot more nap breaks now :yawn:
Farmerkat, 20 minutes til SHOWTIME! :peace:
Good morning everyone!
Sure is hard to get over that hour PJ…and last night we stayed up later because of the change too….very strange how an hour can do that to you. I want my hour back!
I know that theyve proven that it makes no difference in fiscal terms….but I guess that it is better for school kids or something…?
I could never figure out why school started so damned early anyway. Its not like kids can really learn anything in the AM, especially teens.
Im thinking of Kat today and wishing her well…assembling a care package of audio books, novels, funky old radio shows from my grandfather, and maybe some humor…I wonder if she would like something like Mahr’s New Rules.
Lets all chip in and send something like flowers from the Seditionistas…but in a couple of days because she probably will be a bit out of it for the first couple of days.
Did anyone get the name of the hospital? I have the home address…might be better to wait till shes home because its only 5 days or so. The home part is probably going to be the boring part.
But if anyone is interested we can use my paypal and I can put it on my credit card…we could also do something like the cookies that are so good (I have to dig up the site now that my laptop drive is dead and I havent had time to look at PJs info.) or the fruit one.
Anyway, I’m gonna try not to worry….sending a good vibe her way.
Just think, FK gets to have people literally touch her heart today! 😎
morning isi and melina!!!
melina, that sounds like a great idea! i’d throw some dollars into paypal to buy some sort of gift for Kat.
Isi- isnt that freaky? No wonder surgeons have a God complex! Im just focusing on what great drugs shes no doubt getting and gonna get!…by now shes in dreamland….I think its the long runup that is so hard and stressful. The worst danger is infection in the hosptial…otherwise they consider this stuff to be routine these days…I just cant believe that they can do this stuff and it works so well. Its too much for my mind to handle.
#21_ :rofl2:
okay….Kat should be going in right now.
we love ya Farmerkat!! everything’s going to be fine
**good thoughts good thoughts good thoughts**
:fist:Seditionist power…and whatnot..
QG- dont push it…when I was in my early 20’s I worked 16 hours+ a day in film production …this went on for over 3 years freelance, (I went from working with my father to going out on my own and I did real well from the start,)and I kept thinking that I’d take some time off and that things would quiet down, but since it was freelance I didnt want to turn it down because I was #1 call for the places I worked and it was competitive…anyway, I finally got really sick on a Kraft Christmas special but had to keep working because I was holding all the strings and alot of petty cash…well, I ended up permanently damaging my inner ear and screwing myself up for years…and it still bothers me alot…(actually this bronchitis was the worst thing Ive had since then and it freaked me out because I hadnt had anything that bad since the big one!)
So, thats my cautionary tale. When youre young you think you can do anything, but if you push it too hard you may look back and wish that you had balanced a little better back then….
Take care of yourself girl!! Youve got a long, long life ahead of you and you will get all of this stuff done better if you take some breaks!
Hey quietgirl, melina et al :peace:
Can you imagine Mr FK having to listen to Fox News in the waiting room :omg:
It’s Emory University, so maybe they have other news on for him.
QG, I think it’s the “whatnot” that may be the critical factor here. :rofl2:
thanks Melina!!!
i know, i really have to time myself better. but i do take frequent breaks now, especially when i work on the computer. i don’t need my eyes getting any worse.
it’s sad that i’m kinda messed up already at so young, but some of it isn’t my fault. first off, my eyes suck. i’ve had glasses since i was 5 and both my knees are messed up. in one knee, i have an extra bone that puts pressure on the knee and hurts like hell when it acts up: and on the other one, i torn a ligament when i was 13, so it acts up every now and then….yeah, i don’t think i need to cause myself anymore damage:fustrate:
on that note…. i think i’ll take that nap now:yawn:
see ya guys!! good luck Kat!!!
Kristapea, thanks for the great Comedy Show Review!
It sounds like a perfect setting to get Jim back into stand up. 😀
Congratulations on a successful AND safe trip !! :fist:
Say what you will about Bob Schieffer, he was a solid journalist. Replacing him with Katie Couric, is well :barf:
But, I will say this, she comes to the job with conservative bona fides, as she is dating the ex fiance of Laura Ingraham :billcat:
Hey, man, I’m watching Naom Chomsky on Democ NOW!
Farmerkat!:fist:
 Alright, later sheeple. Just thought I’d throw down my two cents
:omg:
Travis, thanks for the throw down!
I can’t stand creeps like Howie Kurtz! :sammy:
He criticized Jill Carroll for making postitive statements about her captors BEFORE she was in american custody!!!
Just imagine his whiny ass in a hostage situation
Howard Kurtz:
FarmerKat, Hope the surgical gods smile down upon you today!:jesus:
Is Katie really?….Oh God, why are these people so stupid? I just dont peg her as a conservative because she is so showbiz, but I have the feeling that she is really 5th ave as opposed to greenwixh village (if anyone can even tell the difference anymore)
Men are armed shout who goes there
We have journeyed far from here
Armed with bibles make us swear
Candy and Cathy, hope we both are well
Please come see me in the citadel
Flags are flying, dollar bills
Round the heights of concrete hills
You can see the pinnacles
Candy and Cathy, hope we both are well
Please come see me in the citadel
Richard Engel is in Boston reporter on Jill Carroll. I wonder if they rotate them all at the same time…
Melina–haven’t read all the posts yet but I wanted to tell you I have all FK’s info. I’ll e-mail you!
I was researching florists in the Atlanta area and think I have a name–but perhaps Becky knows of a good one?
Okay, back to reading (and oatmeal).
I think so too.It is a product of different factors, but above all of the vacuum of present day capitalism. There is no real alternative. Many people feel this and turn towards religion, not only Muslims. For the last 20 or 30 years, people who wouldn’t have considered themselves to be particularly religious have been turning towards Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, etc. Why? Because capitalism flattens everything like a steamroller and human beings want to find a refuge for themselves. Because many of them no longer see any socio-economic alternative, they go back to religion. That is why in the immigrant communities there are people who consider their identity from a purely religious point of view, and I don’t expect anything good to come from that. But I also think that all that will change with the coming generation. Today people are not all religious with the same degree of intensity, we can see different variations. I don’t think that the return to religion is universal.
BTW–I just ordered some beautiful, personalized cookies for Otis’s vets. I found someone outside Philly (quite by accident), and I think I’m really getting my money’s worth because she doesn’t charge NYC prices! So we could certainly consider cookies with a Seditionist-oriented image. Of course, I was thinking flowers because I don’t know how soon Farmerkat’s gonna be eatin’ cookies!

That plane must have been made out of pretty stout stuff to have ended up in such relative good shape.
I saw what was left of a DC10 that lost an engine on takeoff in Chicago..and landed nosr first at 400 MPH in a trailer park north of OHare. It didn’t end up quite as well.
Wonder what Katie thinks of that, considering what she went through with her husband’s illness . . .
This is not the case in my family. They are middle to upper middle class and seriously religious christians. Religion has always been a part of my family history. I am the exception to the rule.
See what happens to you when you are a loyal liar for the WH !
Disturbing goings’ on in the democratic party :omg:
When you vist these Mega Churches you will find a lot of SUV’s and luxury cars in the parking lots. I think they cater to the person wanting to hear from the pulpit that they are well off because God thinks they are cool or something. They seen to conveniently merge the god of the old and the new testaments into a god that never existed in either.
The DLC democrats seem to want a party that is radically different than any of their constituents do. The Hillary, Obama contingency only represent the Dem’s laying around the pool waiting for their dividend checks. I don’t think that description represents many democrats.
Hartman’s history lessons are getting really redundant. I would suppose knowing about what the writers of the constitution had in mind might be nice but isn’t that the same as saying that the constitution is not a living document.
I agreed to go to church years back with one of my siblings located in a large city. The seating was like in a theater. They had a stage, even presented a play, had a roving minister with a mike and talked endlessly about repenting of your sins and how we are inherently evil. They baptized someone in a “lighted” area above the stage. I literally thought I was going to have a panic attack. 😮 I have refused to go to anyone else’s church since.
The catholic church seems to represent about 70% of the Christians in North, Central and South America. The history of the catholic church had them reading the bible in Latin to an uneducated congregation for more than two thirds of their history. They then read a bible written in Latin in the native language and now they use the American revised standard version of the bible and are not much different than some protestant churches. The rule from Rome is starting movements to have an American Catholic Church
LA Times .. more than 17000 wounded in IRAQ
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-040106wounded1-g,0,7003406.graphic
Somewhere I remember a figure that more than 10% casualties makes a war unsustainable.
I thought that the violence was worse these days, but that graph doesn’t demonstrate that.
The violence is greater but our troops are not involved as much. That’s why we built those bases so our troops can hunker down and hide better. Note one of the rethug reasons for staying is to suppress the violence which we are to busy hiding from to supress.
I just got an email from that same cousin I talked about yesterday, asking people to pray for the soldiers in Iraq because the weather was 112 degrees.
So I checked weather.com and the temp in Baghdad is 73 degrees. It’s craziness.
These people mean well and my siblings all do good things to help people in need. It just seems like it’s futile because of all the death and suffering that Bush causes in the first place.
The RTD strike in Denver is causing havoc.. After 20 years of superior mass transit no one built enough parking in the central city to support all the people trying to commute.. Grid lock getting there and no place to park once you do.. It will be interesting to see what Hickenlooper does about it.
That’s how it was when I went (which has, admittedly, been a long, long time). The priest nagged us in English, though. I remember him bitching at the people who came in late, stood in the back, and left early one time. I think they left early.
Tell him you’ve already been praying that they all come home safe and whole, and as immediately as possible – regardless of the weather.
How long do you think Farmerkat’s surgery will last?
You get dumb looks from the people who say that trying to get our army out of IRAQ is not supporting the troops..and you say something like the army is to defend the US not for politicians to use to to promote aggression in a foreign land.. Using our army against a county that was never a threat to us to defend a lie is especially repulsive..
The surgery usually lasts about four hours then there will be three days minimum in Intensive care and another two days to a week in the hospital before she can come home.
Thanks, pj :peace:
How about somthbing for Kat that they can plant in the garden later? I like hydrangea because its beautiful and then you can put it outside to grow and it comes back each year…I don’t know how they do there but maybe the florist can help us with what to get.
The cookies are beautiful but I wonder about diet restrictions….I guess there is Mr to think about too.
I’m at the gym on the bike…the emoticons are SO cute on this little screen….
some musclehead neocon.switches all the TVs to FUX every morning and I feel that its my job to change them all to MSNBC.
isi-I am more hardcore but I would send the weather report back to the whole list and see if maybe you don’t get deleted….Its just so troubling that people don’t even watch Fux news….they coulda gotten the weather in Iraq from even the local Christian paper.
ok sheeple….I’m off to my next stop….
NBC news women really  those conservative men!
fred – the problem with RTD is that they always seem to strike during good weather when people can bike or walk. I believe the last time it was summer and as far as I heard, no one noticed.
They need to strike in November, not April.
I think RTD wants to make a point but not completely shut down downtown.. With no light rail and express bus service getting into the inner city is going to be a real pain and to park downtown ..that will cause great pain the left rear pocket.. It will use up every ones lunch money.
fred – who do you think is going to come out as the bad guy?
I’m just sitting here, thinking of FK . . . and sending good thoughts her way.
If you wanna really flip ’em out, switch them all over to LinkTV.
As long as the strike does not go on for weeks the RTD management will come out looking bad.. Most people in Denver realize that labor needs to be the winner. All those people in the southern burbs ( Thom Tancapfaces district) who just wanted to go shopping will think its labors fault.
Anybody know why airamericaplace.com has been dead since Sunday evening? The domain name won’t even resolve; I tried multiple DN Servers.
Someone said that AAP was doing a system upgrade.. I don’t know the schedule
hey burningbush- I noticed it was down on Saturday as well. They could let us know.:knit2:

I think I saw that one! They did a sketch in which Frosty the Snowman had a brown, runny friend named Ralph.

Ewww!:yuck:
Just for the record, I’m officially in mourning for the rest of the day over Campbell Brown. Someone from FOX NEWS? (An oxymoron if I ever heard one.)
I think Thalia Assuras is still single, though.
Hey, sblue . . . how’re you feeling today?
Campbell always appeared to have some sense.. Why oh why did she stoop so low ??
:knit2: Don’t pirates deserve sweaters, too?
well i have to confess, i subscribed to aar today for the whole year. they gave me credit for the payment i already made of 6.95, so gave me the year with access to all the shows for 63.00 this way i can check out other shows, and listen when i want. i have to say it does make life easier because i don’t have to worry about when the show starts everyday, and it always records the bonus stuff. so they got me…..
Aaaargh!
:knit2:
(That was my blog imitation of Franken as a pirate. But I hadn’t refreshed and didn’t realize it wouldn’t immediately follow Zeb’s post.)
Hey, Zeb.
Just reread your update about the negatives (I was a little distracted yesterday, what with hubby’s birthday and all). Thank you! I will relay the information to him when he gets home tonight. He has to do a big presentation tomorrow, which has taken up most of his attention the past week or so, but he is very excited about everyone’s suggestions and can’t wait for work to stop getting in the way of his fun!
NCAA Championship

#3 Florida
#2 UCLA
So I guess a 6:21 PT start time for the BIG game.
Oh, and one more thing, since I did just take Otis to the vet.
He is doing great! At this point, the only reason to slow down the tapering of his immunosuppresant is to avoid my having to bring him in for bloodwork every week! I’m just so proud–and amazed at how quickly the body can bounce back.
Between his illness (and what we went through as a family), hubby’s birthday (we are none of us gettin’ any younger), and FK’s surgery (not to mention Mr. in Iraq) I find myself in a very appreciative and reflective mood. I feel really blessed to be surrounded by such loving and supportive people! (When I say that, I hope you guys know I am not speaking as a religious
nutperson.) I am just extremely grateful for all o’ youse.

The Israeli Elections
A Decisive Vote for Apartheid
By OMAR BARGHOUTI
“Israel votes for disengagement and final borders” and “Israelis abandon the dream of Greater Israel” were the main themes in the spin that characterized mainstream, even some progressive, media coverage of the Israeli parliamentary elections which took place on March 28. In reality, the election results revealed that a consensus has emerged among Israeli Jews, not only against the basic requirements of justice and genuine peace, as that was always the case, but also in support of a more aggressive form of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and cementing Zionist apartheid.
In the 2006 Knesset elections, Israelis have indeed overwhelmingly voted for “disengagement,” not from the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), but only from the Palestinians — whether in Israel, in the OPT or in exile. Palestinian lands are clearly precluded from this disengagement. An objective examination of the election results and the political platforms of the parties represented in the new Israeli parliament will show that the celebration of the “shift to peace and realism” by Western and Israeli media pundits alike is not only unwarranted but quite deceptive as well. If anything, an avid adoption of the right’s agenda has taken place.
Before exposing the spin, readers must be cautioned that “right,” “left” and “center” are relative terms; they have substantially different meaning in the Israeli political context than in any comparable parliamentary system, including the Palestinian Legislative Council. With the exception of the Palestinian dominated political parties, all Israeli parties represented in the seventeenth Knesset converge on the three fundamental No’s of Zionism: No to the return of Palestinian refugees who were uprooted by Israel during the Nakba (catastrophe of dispossession and expulsion around 1948); No to a complete end of the occupation and colonization of the Palestinian territory occupied by Israel in 1967; No to full equality — in the law as well as in government policies — between Israel’s Jewish citizens and its Palestinian citizens, the remaining indigenous population of the land. . .

Isn’t Rush Lipprick the definition of an oxymoron ??
:rofl2:
I think so Fred!
Friday, Marc mentioned that when the show becomes syndicated they will record the show to make sure they get 2 hours in. Does that mean no one will hear the show live?
Someone who beleves FAUX News would have a cow if they had to listen to Democracy Now all the time… might learn something too.. ..naw…

How Capitalism Threatens Your Health
A Terrible Weapon in the Hands of the Rich
By JULIAN EDNEY
The main event in capitalist free markets is the creation of wealth. The other event is the creation of inequality. Under principles of laissez faire this is not so much a tradeoff, a positive for a negative, as it is two positives. Inequality, the natural outcome of competition, is a sign of healthy struggle on which the whole community is said to thrive.
In corporate philosophy the mission of business is to maximize profit. To that end it values efficiency over almost everything, including moral considerations. The parent philosophy, utilitarianism, does not care if some people suffer injustices if a greater good shows up later. (In fact some have drawn “indifference curves” showing various gradients of inequality among humans, suggesting the more equality, the fewer total satisfactions (1)).
The industrial revolutions raised Western nations to massive wealth. Their stories can be written as a history of progress, and that is the outward appearance. But their entrails also ran with strikes, rights actions, antitrust decisions and labor strife; at times the creation of wealth ruined people. Free marketers will still explain labor mutinies as envious workers bent on random wreckage. But these actions all targeted massive inequalities.
Yesterday’s and today’s conservatives both say inequality is not bad if it comes from a free and fair market. They explain that where you land in the economic struggle for survival depends on your abilities, intelligence or character, so the blame for pain must be laid on the individual. Actually, some go further and hold inequality and injustice to be in the nature of things, so installing ethics or equity is tampering with natural law and its Darwinian ways, and it’s not a good idea to help weaker players or the less talented because that slows natural selection…
http://www.counterpunch.org/edney04032006.html
I wonder how many people listen to AAR and then don’t come back because all they do is rail against rethugs all day long but don’t provide any solutions to doing anything about them other than voting for dems who probably won’t be any different than the rethugs. I would think that people who are in the position of those UAW members at Delphi, airline machinists or farm laborers don’t want to hold on until November just to find out in March or April that even with dems in control of one house that their plant is still going to close and there job is toast. AAR would have been really useful as an organizational tool to solve some of these problems.. A TV “cooking” channel would even be better.
I’ve been playing around with Photo Shop Elements 4.0 all day long. Cool program. I’ve spiced up my site a little with some pix I edited in Elements with something PS calls the “magic extractor” tool. Simply put it takes out the background from around the subject. I used the tool on an image of Maron on my podcast page. I think Marc looks like a prophet here. Wonder what he’d think of it? http://web.mac.com/ofmen/iWeb/Site/Podcast/Podcast.html So I heard that Moussaoui jurors have decided he is eligible for the dealth penalty. That’s about all the news I’ve heard today. Luckily this mornings storm looked more impressive on radar than it did once it entered the city. So I’m still alive despite all the hell, fire and damnation my lifesyle should be raining down on me. Maybe I shouldn’t joke about such. I have been feeling a little weird of late. Hard to describe my symptoms. Suffice to say I sometimes feel I’m about to explode. Boom!
I hope all went well with farmerkat’s surgery this morning. Seems like we should have heard something by now. But, I guess we’re low on the priority list. 😉
Maron’s getting good with his blog entry. It’s already up at http://www.marcmaron.com
“Watching McCain on Face the Nation Sunday was repellent.”
isi its weird how your copy of marc’s blog says Mcain was on Face the Nation and marcmaron.com says it was “Meet the Press”. I was wondering. Did you copy and paste this? Or is there some work of God going on here? Like maybe something miraculous! Like maybe God is trying to tell me that he really does exist and that I’d best get my shit together! Oh my . . .
The reason I noticed this is because I recorded the McCain interview off MTP and posted it to my new movie page. You can hear it by surfing to my movie page on my site.
The Democrats completely buy into the terms of debate set by the Republicans, that the major problem in the world today is “terrorism.” DNC Chairman Howard Dean is quoted in their press release as saying, “We will not only hunt down the terrorists and provide our troops with the tools they need to stop future attacks, but we will do a better job of securing our ports and our nuclear power and chemical plants.”
I copied and pasted. Maybe they changed the copy seconds after I pasted it. 😉
di di . . . di di . . . di di . . . di di
Yeah he changed it because he put in Gore/Obama 08.
I’d sing it if I could . . .
Gore/Feingold :fist:
I agree if yah NickiRose . . . they’ll prolly fuck the midterms up also. We’re not being given something on a silver platter here. We are Democrats after all. Only Republicans are born with a silver spoon in their mouths and a silver platter on their table. We gots to work at it. Use our brains. Come on fellows . . . you gots to have brains!
Several police sources said the officer, who was not identified, asked her three times to stop. When she kept going, he placed a hand somewhere on her and she hit him, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
McKinney issued a statement of regret for the incident but no apology. She and her lawyers have repeatedly declared that she was a victim of inappropriate touching and racism and said they were considering pursuing civil action against the officer.
She and her attorneys have refused to say whether she hit the officer as alleged. James Myart Jr., her lawyer, suggested in a CNN interview that McKinney had acted in self-defense.
Black clergy and lawmakers came to the defense of the firebrand congresswoman on Monday. McKinney smiled as her supporters heaped praise on her leadership and her new look _ her trademark cornrows replaced earlier this year by a curly brown afro.
Her supporters tried to minimize the incident _ which they called political, not criminal _ but they also suggested it was an example of racial profiling. They called publicity surrounding the episode a distraction that is being used by “her enemies” to keep the congresswoman from performing her elected duties.
Stick to your guns. Those pigs will sooner or later drop charges. Profiling is wrong. This is not an apartheid state like Israel and South Africa.
As much as I like (love) Feingold. I do not think he could win the Presidency. But I could be wrong. I’m jaded by living in a city over-populated by Christians and Republicans. You should live here in Birmingham. You’d see what I’m talking about. All these damn “W the President” stickers! Makes me sick. Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when you need him? Oh yeah . . . dead. And he shot the wrong man so we know how fucked up he was. I sometimes wonder what the country would be like now had Lee Harvey Oswald missed his shot. I can’t help but believe that the world would be a better place.
cnick, you might want to do an edit. Just lookin’ out for ya.
like why?
The sentence right after “makes me sick”.
I’ve already edited it several times and if you might think I should be worried about the Secret Service or something . . I am not! Fuck them!
I guess I’m just :paranoid:
“Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when you need him?” I am not saying I’d kill Bush. I’m saying I wish someone else would.
I think we live in a free country and I’m thus free to speak my mind here. Or has the neo cons and facists already taken control?
You are definitely free to say what you think. I was just worried. :peace:
Believe me isi I appreciate the concern. But I do not fear making a bold remark here. I’ve done it many times in my old blog. I’m probably already on Bush’s enemy’s list. You should read the letter I sent directly to the White House. Yes, they’ve prolly even done a sneak and peek at my place. Let em. I’ve nothing to hide. I’m a law abiding, taxpaying citizen of what was once the greatest country on earth. Now I’m wondering if we’re losing it all to bigots, neo facists and ignorant Christians.
Deal or no deal is on NBC right now, chance to win $10,000 dollars . . . yes, you heard me right, $10,000.00
Majority Report is being heard live in Phoenix. Is that new, KP?
Hi everyone!
No word yet on Kat?
CK and I are cooking up a group flower arrangement for Kat…of course we probably cant send anything for a couple of days because she is porbably in intensive care. CK has found a great florist and there are a few things there that we like. This, this, this, to name a few….
If even a few of us chip in we could even send a small arrangement to the hospital and a plant to her home that will last a long time…they have all sorts of price points and very nice things.
I just wanted to try to gauge interest…Ill be happy to put it on my credit card and accept the donations through my paypal…
Also, did anyone mail Marc and let him know that Kat is in the hosptial? Just wondering because he’d probably want to tell her to get well. Mr is gonna bring her the podcast so she will hear it.
Im just hoping to hear form Mr FK soon…and I hope that they are both OK!
Al said that they got Phoenix back today…and It may be a different setup now because its a different station.
You can count me in for a contribution.
Godless US Soldier has posted his inaugural, live from LSA Anaconda, Iraq podcast. You can get it here.
isi I posted the email I sent to the White House before Christmas last so you could see how I blasted Bush. Karl Rove prolly read it and added me to their enemies list. Which is alright by me. lol. Go here to read the email:

cnick- isnt that the stupidest show?…its just inane…total luck and nerve and stupidity.
Just be careful cnick…you know about Arrar, right?
If not, Ive got a thing about it on ripcoco from around a month ago.
I feel the same way you do about speech but its easy for me because I live in a place where if they took me they would have to take 60% of the rest of the people here…but you are in a very red place and people are not tolerant there.
I actually wrote you a post the other night in response to something you wrote that urged you to consider moving towards one of the more northern coasts if the Dems screw up the next round of elections . If things get much worse you might want to reside in a blue state!
Ive even been thinking of something like a small liberal town in VT. if things get any worse.
Be very careful cnick…they dont have to have any reason to take you and there is no recourse for you if they do because you will likely be in a tiny cell in some foreign country being tortured….There was no reason for Arrar to be picked up…nothing at all; he is an IT guy and has a wife and 3 daughters…regular life…white guy who has lived in Canada for a long time….I am no tin foil hat person, but these things are happening all over…The hearing with Feingold just chilled me to the bone because it drove home that the people who run this ocuntry really believe that they can do anything…anything….
and you represent something that they hate…
Im under the impression that the Dems are gonna come out with a plan that will be like the new, new deal that will blow everyone away and set America back on course to be what its supposed to be. I cant tell if I have that impression from Rahm Emmanuel or from Rachel, but, Im ever hopeful that its true.
The point is that there is no reason to lay out any plan right now because all that will happen is that it will be attacked and picked apart for the next 6-7 months. That doesnt mean that there is no plan.
I was listening to Ring of Fire in the car today and Mike Pap is always so down on the Dems…and I sort of agree with him, though I dont know how much inside info he has really. he is an active trial lawyer and not in politics…whereas Bobby really believes in the Dems and think its really important to work on the party. Of course his family is all connected and he probably is privy to more than most people. God, I wish someone like Bobby could be President…but why would he want to be? It hasnt worked out well for his family at all, huh?
Its so nice to be loved! You guys and ladies are like a family too me. I love you all. 😳
Ok- Well, Ill start collecting for flowers for Farmetkat at Paypal
and you just send whatever you can afford to doubter at optonline dot net .No amount is too small or too big! We will send a card from all Seditionistas so do what you can. If there is enough we will send something to the hospital and then a plant or something to her house….if there is a ton we will donate leftovers to Heifer

Two freakin hours of the inane Deal or No Deal???
How can they do this? It used to be that you had to know something to play these games…now its just silly gambling luck….

I’m a 24 watcher too. Good vs. Evil. Remind you of somein?
Does Malloy read the blog here? He was trashing Ed Schultz–and his comments about AAR Phoenix–the way we do.:omg:
Pardon Hinckley!:jason: What does this imply?
MSNBC is reporting that Tom Delay will not seek reelection!
Hey Everyone
Melina, I sent some flower money to the email you listed above, how do I know it got there? I haven’t used that paypal service before. ❓
Miracles? I do believe, I do, I do, I do . . . Great news, PJ, thanks for the scoop! Now I can go to sleep with a smile on my face.
CNN has a little more.
Tommy Boy :jason:
Hey, I’ve never used paypal either, so I’ll try and figure that maze out or use the snail mail. Somethin’s goin’ either way.
SNOW!:omg: Somebody do a snow dance:banana: Make it stop snowing in Anchortown- it’s a drag.
Um, well, I guess I’ll start the maze now. Later, people. :knit2:
No more Delay! :fist: No more Delay! :nixon: No more Delay!
Hey Trav, it was easy enough, but It would be nice to get confirmation that it got there.
Well, I set up the account. I think I have to wait 2-3 business days so my account can be verified:doh: I think.
1480 KPHX
So, 1480 KPHX Air America Phoenix has risen from it’s own ashes. In this version, they are playing most of the Air America line up LIVE! Which I think is pretty cool. No Ed Schultz, YAY! And, so far, my favorite part is that The Majority Report is on during drive time! WOO HOO! No more having to endure(which I don’t) Randi’s bad impersonation of Bush while I’m stuck in traffic! So, now I must try and make a big enough stink about Marc’s show so that they get it when it’s ready for syndication. Unfortunately, the previous AAR station replaced Morning Sedition shortly after the election and pretty much no one got a chance to hear it here, so there’s only a couple of Maron fans in the Phoenix area. Never got a chance to build an audience here. So we need help from Maronistas and Seditionistas all over the world to let them know what a cool show it is and that 1480 KPHX needs to pick up The Marc Maron Show LIVE. If you would like to raise the awareness of the folks at KPHX to the numerous and articulate fans they could be picking up in the Phoenix area by having Marc’s show on LIVE, please donate a small amount to the Help Save Air America fund.$5, $10, $20, whatever. Please send it snail mail as I do not know if there is a way for our donations to be tracked if you use paypal. Please include a short note saying that it is to be put into the Seditionist pool and put in a good word for Marc and Jim. The address is:
On Second Thought LLC
28248 N Tatum Blvd B1,#605
Cave Creek, AZ 85331
I have started a pool of donations from Seditionists and Maronites to purchase a number of pixels on an advertizing site here and use a logo for The Marc Maron Show for the pixels. I donated half of the minimum for the minimum amount of pixels(100) and am hoping to at least get the other half(or more) from other contributions. This is a key time to influence the people there. The station just got off the ground today and Marc’s show will be available shortly. The more streams the merrier I say!
Check out the site here:

Thanks!
Hey Melina, Do you still have my email? I would like to use snailmail to help out with the flowers if possible.
Do you think I’m screwing up big time by using the paypal? I’m a little :paranoid: Plus, I don’t want to get hit with unexpected charges. I’m sort of slow with-it, and I don’t fully understand all the charging rules for electronic payment method. Man, now I’m thinkin’ I should have used the snail. Lost in the maze.
:40: I should go sleep it off.
Majority Report is on the KTLK stream right now. So I guess Marc’s show will start on time tonight! 😀
