Supposed to be another beautiful day where I live, but I have so much to do, I don’t know if I’ll get to see much of it. Looks like Berlusconi’s out in Italy, unless they managed to put the fix in overnight. There aren’t too many Bush Buddies left in office around the world. I only hope that trend continues in this country come November. Hopefully there won’t be any nuking of Iran before then.

Morning, guys. I fell off the blog midday yesterday; lots to catch up on, I see!
:joe: ahhhhhhh
(it was good this a.m.)
Hummm, wonder where the podcast is? So what went on Friday? a show or no?
morning!
the podcast is up.
So, I’m having trouble getting things in to my brain today…. first, so marc’s show is now NOT live and we wait for it to be picked up so it can be streamed, right?
the bush leak thing I’m just not able to fully consume yet (tried to read the firedog lake thing). i’m uncomfortable this a.m. so I’m thinking when i feel better, I’ll go back and try again. (didn’t take any strong meds last night, slept better but woke up in pain….so now what?)
so prezideunce said he declassified but what exactly is he saying he declassfied? oh i’ve got to get on all cylinders here….
ck, how’ d the otis check-up go?
oh good, rachael said she’s gong to discuss the leak case…maybe I can play catch-up via the listening route rather than the reading route.
morning farmer! its a beautiful georgia morning!
hi Sean!
Yes, the weather has been fabulous! Where are you?
yep rachels show is always a good place to get caught up! she’s the best “news” person they have in my opinion! anyway
just south of ya down in macon
she’s the best “news” person they have in my opinion! anyway
it’s a good informative show.
you zipped down here pretty quickly, didn’t you? Be careful, you know how the southern christo-fascists “get” ya sometimes!!! :yuck:
i honestly think she fits better into a single hour though she kinda has to stretch to fill two it was so nice neat and concise as a single hour mmmmmmmmm or maybe im just missing marc being with mark!
:doh:yep last time i was down here i bought an ann coulter book! thats ok though im taking vacation on the 21st so i will be back to new york soon as long as they can get someone to switch here before i end up in galveston tx from there the drive is all the way to logan utah!
im just missing marc being with mark!
nothing but the real thing can replace the real thing. i just don’t have it in me to listen to mark…he’s a good egg, but i never cared for him when he soloed on the original ms so at least i’m consistent.
glad to see wolcott had lunch with goldgrinch….i thought that was a good thing. thinking Wolcott could explain the funny to the idiotgrinch since he obviously is missing the creative side of his brain.
about 36 hours from lincoln nebraska to here ugh very tiring annoying drive! but its all good they pay us extra for drives like that one!
yep last time i was down here i bought an ann coulter book!
…and we had to have a blogerintervention to cure you ❗

ugh music executives as a group are the absolute worst executives in the world! i mean come on only the music biz would sue its most loyal customers over file sharing instead of adapting its business model! retards! (no offense to people that are really challenged) I HATE BUSH! just n case anybody was unclear and because i am hearing his voice on my radio!
sean, when you go on vacation, do you go home? I’d think going somewhere might not sound so good to you.
:banana:oh yeah going home for a week sitting in my apartment with the curtains drawn blogging for a week straight!

What dummy “declassified” was portions of the National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq. The parts he “declassified” were the parts that seemed to indicate that Iraq had a nuclear program (the parts he left out were the parts that nobody actually thought Iraq had a nuclear – or any other WMD – program).
This didn’t “out” Valerie Plame, but demonstrates that dummy and dicky were in the thick of the “concerted effort” to trash Wilson.
As Murray Waas writes:
:omg:scumbag would definitely sit there plugging mexicans full of lead! ugh some friggin people!
thanks pj. so can he eventually claim he declassified plame’s identity ❓
hey man, call me DR. Farmerkat! Pat robertson says so: read this portion of an interview: (he is SUCH an idiot).
:mad:the executive banch is so friggin evil and crafty!
ha robertson has double d’s!

mr FK just said rachael should have said the train bombers had no tie to al qaeda “leadership” rather than no ties to al qaeda.
From what I understand from Gonzalez and the Bush apologists, Bush can do whatever he wants, provided that it’s couched in terms of “national security.” This is what Nixon claimed in the coverup of the Watergate break-in, but it didn’t fly. Things are, of course, different these days.
finally pain med is back on board…ahhhhhh relief.
yeah, pj, my mom and i were discussing yesterday how we are both incredibly surprised that there is no outrage among the American people for the lies to war, nsa illegal taps etc. we both sat there shaking out heads.
Too bad they couldn’t give you a script for medical marijuana.
:joe::joe::omg::40:
yeah you tell mike i said yeah hes right! uh huh let his journalist ass know that his comment has been validated by a stinky truck driver guy! ha yep yep albeit an extremely intelligent genius truck driver but a truck driver all the same!
i’d like to try mm under these circumstances to see how it works. I don’t smoke it otherwise (too paranoid to enjoy!). i’m on a time-released drug that doesn’t give me a wallop. don’t like the wallop, i’m a wimp.
Well, if there was outrage, whould you hear about it? I mean, when you read that WaPost editorial from Sunday – with all the stuff that was disproved a long time ago used to justify the “good leak,” it’s just amazing. They draged Clinton through a trial in the Senate over what he did, while his approval ratings were sky-high. This guy’s numbers are in the crapper, and after all he’s done – just the shit we actually know about, let alone all the shit that we haven’t found out about – he still has the support of the major media and all his minions. I hope it’s all falling apart for him, but this “destiny” from god to “save Iraq” shit scares me.
I really don’t like a rapture righty who’s on a mission from god having the keys to the nukes.
my mom watered the seditionist mondo-basket  yesterday – it took her a while!!!
just so everybody is aware i am 100% in support of iran attacking us as a preemptive strike to stop us from attacking them of course it wont work and i will help fight the iranian invaders but just to have a consistent position with preemptive strikes we all have to support an iranian preemptive strike because they are MORE justified to attack us right now than we are to attack them yeah something along these lines is what i mean yep im tired cant spit it out right uh huh ok then
sean, mike said he’s nothing but a dumb Okie so he can relate (you gave him his first belly laught today!)
he still has the support of the major media and all his minions.
go figure…i just don’t get it. I rationalize the corporate thing but my heart just doesn’t get it.
:rofl2:mondo basket!
Sikicem, young turks!
I think Iran ought to attack Mexico as a preemptive strike on us, because they have a ruthless dictator seeking to acquire las armas de la masivo destrucción.
oh god the only okie i know is an insane midget with a mullet! of course im sure mike is uh better than an insane midget with a mullet! lol
What I don’t get is my brother (who is a good guy, not a wingnut by any stretch, who was raised in a good blue collar home, and had the honor of serving his country in Vietnam) voted for Bush in 2004. I just don’t get it. And his wife – a teacher, who should know better – did too. Thank god his kids were smart enough to vote for Kerry. Of course, they live in NYS, so their votes didn’t really matter, but still.
rapture righty -> that’s good pj.
When they came up with the preemptive strike “plan” that is exactly what I worried about – other’s using the same justification.
now iran hitting mexico instead of us, would kind of fit the bush hitting iraq instead of say, pakistan or n korea…..
isi is an Okie, too! A chikashay fight chick!
I’d have said Canada, but I live too close to Canada, and it’s part of my emergency exit strategy.
oh yes they did! i beg to differ i yelled at everybody i know that voted for the chimp! they helped him support his claim of “mandate” by contributing to his overall total (or maybe i was being too hard on people) i dont know anyway im sleeptyping at this point!
oh god the only okie i know is an insane midget with a mullet!
he thinks maybe you’re driving a carnival around!!
The only mandate he got was with Jeff Gannon.
Bush is a fink.
Wasn’t that a Miss Marples story? The Mysterious Matter of the Mischievous Midget with a Mullet?
i don’t get those otherwise intelligent people who voted for bush & co. either. somehow their brains disconnect fact & fiction. Fux news watchers, maybe?
Mauled with a mallet.
hey pj we have the same “exit strategy” ha where you going i think i will just go to toronto!
Hello everybody! I am setting up my new laptop…unbelievable huge sharp screen!

gannon & The Mysterious Matter of the Mischievous Midget with a Mullet?
you’ve got the funny today pj!
(morning nickirose and susan joy!)
Hey, hey, that sort of rhetoric is inappropriate for our glorious leader.
Bush is a fucking fink.
mullet guy looks like a carnie!
hi melina! so what machine did you end up with? thanks for all you did for me. I really appreciate it.
I think I’ll head to Kingston. It’s a nice little city with kind of a European feel to it (except with streets wide enough to actually drive a car through). Plus Dan Ackroyd lives there.
exit stratedy for Georgia? Alabama :omg:
I got a wingnut to admit he would give Bush a blowjob “if I was female.” It’s amazing what some of these people say if you just observe and don’t tell them your own political philosophy.
I had an interesting ongoing friendship with an Okie lawyer who was tracking my son’s okie missing father (though drunk and disorderly, killing deer without a permit, and brandishing a firearm while drunk, make it pretty easy to track him!)…he was explaining this type of Okie to me and how they are definitley not all like that. But then why the concentration of them in the tornado ravaged trailer parks down there?…but after careful study we came to the sociopathic personality disorder theory of a certain cross section of okies….Mullet midget = the above, Mr FK= NOT!!
A big question is why were the lives of the bombing victions of Tim McVeigh and company (the social security office crowd etc…) worth less in terms of cash payout than the WTC vicims?…was it the attacker? The geography?
Why was it so much easier for them to decide on a memorial and new building than it has been for the people here?
See that? Mention Okies and next thing you know Ive worked my way back to NYC!!…its always that way!
Prodi claims victory, but Berlusconi’s allies aren’t done fighting
Closest election in modern history
Official data showed that in the lower house Chamber of Deputies Prodi’s bloc had taken about 49.80 percent of the vote compared with 49.73 percent for Berlusconi. The winning margin was around 25,000 votes, a tiny fraction of Italy’s 47 million eligible electors
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12229641/
The exit polls had Prodi leading by like 10% but ( now the tin hat is installed) this was the first election where the Italians used electronic voting and guess who was their voting machine vendor… yep… you guessed right Diebold.
Hey, you could always head to Graceland!
See now, being a straight guy, that’s not the sort of thing that would enter my mind. Maybe for these right-wingers, being gay really is a choice?
head to Graceland!
hey! great idea – like being on a different PLANET!

i’m thinking the entire southern half of the us is concentrated with ’em, melina. do you know off the top of your head the difference in pay-out to the victims?

Kat- IM thinking that it was a couple of million per WTC victim and maybe a few hundred thousand per OC victim….Maybe the top award there was 1 mil?….it was an issue but seemed unseemly at the time, so it never went anywhere….
I keep trying to figure out what makes the WTC thing so precious, considering the rest of the world living in warfare. Its tragic but youd think that those individuals were made of gold.
Also the WTC itself had become a place for more workers as opposed to CEOs and bosses, many of whom had moved uptown….
But let me look it up in a little while after I get back…have to run out for an quick appt and the post office…
I think you are probably right, travis. I was 45 minutes from the site of the OCB on April 19, 1995. I was in my hometown caring for my ill father. We were watching the morning news on tv in the kitchen. I will never forget watching the live shot from the helicopter, along with everyone else, as it rounds the building to see the massive damage. It was unbelievable. Tim McVeigh was a fundamentalist right wing ex military guy who hated the federal government. Now, all those guys love Bush. Go figure.
BTW, McVeigh was caught by a good Oklahoma cop just doing his job, stopping McVeigh for a traffic violation. Then when he was in jail finding out he was the suspect.
I don’t quite see how McVeigh ‘s bombing of the Murrah federal building was a federal sting operation.. McVeigh and Terry Nichols basically bought the Ammonia Nitrate and rented the truck without anyone’s assistance. McVeigh was an army engineer and nitrate bombs are something you are taught how to build because they make excellent anti tank weapons. Ammonia Nitrate is used as a fertilizer by the millions of tons in the US every year and you can still buy it from a fertilizer distributor in most agricultural communities without a license and diesel fuel and an M80 ( a device typically used to remove gofers) to set it off are readily available. If you call ADM you can buy a covered hopper car of Ammonia Nitrate on your American Express card and it probably will get noticed less than buying a few hundred pounds of it. McVeigh got arrested for a traffic violation and they traced the truck to him and Nichols because they hadn’t removed the VIN number tags and McVeigh charged it on his Visa card.
I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. Graduated from an integrated high school in 1965. The metodist church our family attended did not preach about repenting of evil and other such stuff. After the Sunday service, our family, led by my father, would engage in discussions about the sermon. Very interesting, made us think and hone our arguments.
But, things have changed in this country in regard to religion. I went the other way and now consider myself agnostic, but my sisters embraced this more fundamentalist view of the Bible that has occurred, I’d say, in the last 20 years. It’s a baffling phenomenon. If my father, who up and including his death, could not wrap his mind around the virgin birth and the resurrection, were alive, he would be shocked at what has become of religion in this country. And, what has happened to my sisters.
Just as with all states, you can’t lump Oklahomans into one category. My greatgrandfather came to Oklahoma after fighting for the Union Army in the Civil War in Missouri. He got on his horse with a gun in his hand and fought off the guerrilla confederate army. So, in the once sense, there is a long family history of fighting for the survival of this country that is carried out in the beliefs of my sisters. It just seems like loyalty to the government in power today is misguided.

RAW STORY
Published: Tuesday April 11, 2006
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean has written a letter to Republican counterpart Ken Mehlman, asking him to explain what role, if any, the White House had in an illegal plot to jam phone lines during the 2002 elections, RAW STORY has learned.
Five Democratic get-out-the-vote centers and a fire fighters union in New Hampshire were inundated with calls made by telemarketers on election day, 2002. The company making the calls was hired by the New Hampshire Republican Party to flood their rival’s phone lines.
Records relating to the case indicate that convict James Tobin made two dozen calls to the White House near the date of the incident, all to the Office of Political Affairs. At the time, Mehlman led the office.

‘Chicago Tribune’ Demands Cheney Answer Questions on CIA Leak
By E&P Staff
Published: April 11, 2006 10:35 AM ET
NEW YORK The conservative Chicago Tribune editorial board apparently is fed up with Bush administration’s explanations of its involvement in the ever-expanding CIA leak case. In an editorial on Tuesday it declared that Vice President Dick Cheney had “been in his bunker long enough. It’s time for him to answer some questions–and not in the friendly venue of Fox News.”

I usually don’t probe into conspiracy theories, i.e. O.C. Bombing, etc. I have read that McVeigh did not act alone. That there were explosives already planted in the building. Is this just conspiracy gone wild, or is there something to it? (The amount of explosives in McVeigh’s bomb could not have brought down the building.)
They had a sketch of a third person at the scene. There was talk that he might have been killed in the bombing.
McVeigh was involved in the underground survivalist, white supremists, militia groups. And, alot of people thought they might have helped fund the bombing.
OCB was on the second anniversary of WACO.
Corporate agriculture’s dirty secret:
http://www.counterpunch.org/krebs04112006.html
I remember hearing all of this stuff about a white supremacist encampment, third bomber, etc. The government feared muddying up their case if they got into that stuff. Anyway, the only things of conspiracy interest was that McVeigh’s bomb was not powerful enough to bring down the building. Anything to this? or is it just unstubstantiated conspiracy theory stuff?
I had never heard that his bomb wasn’t powerful enough to do the damage it did. Remember he had a U Haul full of explosives and was able to drive right up to the building because it was before they started putting cement barriers up at federal buildings.
I went to see the site and it was hard to describe. Buildings were boarded up blocks from the bomb site.
Bush’s biggest surprise yet may be just around the corner. Like the other “challenges” it will largely be a disaster of his own making: both highly predictable, but nevertheless devastating. Bush’s fatally flawed Middle East policies may drive either Russia or China to base nuclear missiles in Iran. China might do it, in order to maintain needed access to natural gas and petroleum reserves. China could also benefit from offering a “strategic nuclear umbrella” in the region as a checkmate to the US’s forward Pacific naval deployment and maneuvers, endless administration rhetoric about Taiwan, and pressure for not doing enough to reign in North Korea. Chinese missiles in Iran would be a not-too-subtle rebuke to the US, simultaneously reaffirming sovereignty and the legitimacy of Chinese national interests without creating a direct threat to the US homeland.
And what better to get today’s thread to 100 posts (OK, make it 103) than a thrilling installment of…

Sorry, folks. Didn’t know the Ledger would require everyone to open an account to read the stories. Wonkette has a link as well, for those with commitment issues.
I remember hearing so-called explosive experts who would say this sort of thing. This is likely more of the conspiracy theory stuff like CIA killed Kennedy…Maybe not the government but low-level people because of the bullet angles and reports from the grassy knoll.
I used to hear this stuff on a nationally-syndicated radio show. Conservative, but fair-minded host, whose name I don’t recall. Portland used to have a good local station with fine local programming and national shows. Jim Hightower’s show was on in the morning. The station was sold in the late 1990s, and it went to weeds.
Excuse the source but this is an interesting article on the McVeigh bomb.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=22963
Ammonia Nitrate and fuel oil is prepackaged for use in Quarry operation and construction and sold in 50 lib bags. The general premise about Mcveigh’s bomb was that it was a fertilizer bomb but the evidence shows it was made from explosives grade Ammonia Nitrate and NitoMethane..You can also use things like concrete road barriers to shape the charge so that the blast goes pretty much in one direction. Reinforced concrete pillars are also not very strong in shear but are designed to take loads in compression so getting a few hundred thousand lbs per square inch from the side might have caused the observed failure.
kevin, I was able to read the story about Harris bringing her campaign home without opening an account.
There is a growing conviction among members of the United States military, and in the international community, that President Bush’s ultimate goal in the nuclear confrontation with Iran is regime change. Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has challenged the reality of the Holocaust and said that Israel must be “wiped off the map.” Bush and others in the White House view him as a potential Adolf Hitler, a former senior intelligence official said. “That’s the name they’re using. They say, ‘Will Iran get a strategic weapon and threaten another world war?’ ”
If the Islamic nations get a progressive ( for Islamic countries at least) nation with the ability to defend them from further aggression on the part of the USA and Israel they may be willing to live in a state of MAD like we had with the USSR. The best idea would be to get Israel to coexist with the Palestinians but after so much violence neither side trusts the other.
JD Cash!
“My opinion is, we may never be able to prove it because they took all the evidence and buried it” shortly after the explosion, he said.
Federal officials vehemently denied ever storing explosive devices in federal office buildings.
“I have no knowledge of that. I have never heard of that before,” Steve Berry, a spokesman for the FBI, told WND. He also said he “had no knowledge” of any other explosive devices planted at the Murrah Building.
“All we reported was McVeigh’s device,” Berry said.
Jim Crandell, an inspector and former field agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, also denied knowledge of any other devices in the building.
“I can’t comment at all on whether there might have been additional explosives in the building because I simply don’t know,” Crandell told WND. But, he said, it was ATF’s policy “not to store explosives in any of our offices.”
That article sure joggled my memory. My quick thought is that although McVeigh may have had accomplices–besides Nichols–they were not from the GOTUS.
JD Cash was on the afroementioned radio show frequently. It seemed that McVeigh did not work with him on the defense. The case was not all that strong. But Cash was unable to mount much of a case. Furthermore, the government had even less of a case against Nichols. Michael Tigar really worked on the behalf of Nichols. Manslaughter conviction, and life imprisonment sentence imposed by a federal judge because the jury deadlocked.
I don’t want to glorify the convicted bombers, but I do not like the ideaa of the government cutting corners to get convictions while not pursuing the tough questions. Oh well.

Born out of ongoing efforts in Washington to clamp down on illegal immigration, the new federal requirement compels anyone seeking Medicaid coverage to provide a birth certificate, a passport, or another form of identification in order to sign up for benefits or renew them.
No such proof is required now.
The requirement was tucked into the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which President Bush signed into law earlier this year.

Almost all of the state’s poorest residents will have to show proof of US citizenship to continue getting medical care by July 1, under a little-noticed federal law that could endanger coverage for many, as Massachusetts is trying to expand access to healthcare.
Born out of ongoing efforts in Washington to clamp down on illegal immigration, the new federal requirement compels anyone seeking Medicaid coverage to provide a birth certificate, a passport, or another form of identification in order to sign up for benefits or renew them.
No such proof is required now.(rest of article is here)

Besides the obvious humanitarian objection to this, is it really wise to do this with the bird flu pandemic expected to land here soon?

Conservatives have their heads wedged when it comes to humanitarian issues.. If it costs them money they don’t want to do it..Most of the time unless they can make money on it they don’t want to do it. This group is determined to hurt or just outright eliminate as many of the poor and infirm as they can..
Hey all! Uploaded last nights show to my site. Go here to listen to the show: http://web.mac.com/ofmen/iWeb/Site/Podcast/Podcast.html
KTLK’s Clipper BS talk took the first hour of the show. So I have the first hour from the AAR podcast. The second hour was recorded using my stream recorder . . . well at least all but the final minute which was inexplicably cut short by a “Tab” commercial! So I edited in the remaining minute from the AAR podcast. Can you tell where the edit is? Listen closely. Cheers!

It’s that, but it’s also hate. Anyone who would support something like this is more than just selfish with money. They’re picking and choosing who’s going to live and die, let’s face it. It just disgusts me.
So what is Rhodes babbling about ??? Sounds like she wants a million or two of her followers to drop everything and appear later this week on the Mall in DC.. Ill check the AMTRAK schedule… Some one else better show up.. Wait.. I can’t miss the manufacturing meeting on Thursday.. decisions….. decisions..
Seymour Hersh will be on the Majority Report tonight.
In recent months, the Democrats have taken steps to push for accountability. But
few have attracted media attention and all have slammed the Bush
administration’s tactical blunders – intelligence failures, contract corruption
and torture – rather than declaring Iraq an enormous strategic blunder in the
war on terror. Few have called the war what most Americans now understand it to
have been: a mistake.:omg:
Out in the streets.
Dancing in the streets.
Fighhting in the streets.
Rioting….
:nixon:
What would Nixon do?:jesus:
OMG, I am so behind in my blogging!
Let’s see . . . Farmerkat, if you’re still up, Otis’s visit went really well. As of today, we are down to the final dose of his immunosuppressant–titrated from 30mg/day to less than 2mg/day. If next week’s bloods are normal, we can stop it altogether, and then one more check the following week for good measure. The vet is pleased, as are we! (Here is a picture of the thank-you we sent them. They have been so good to him!)
However, I am shell-shocked by the news a few minutes ago from our accountant of how much we’ll owe this year. Most of the bump is due to my father-in-law’s estate, which was distributed last year. Thank God hubby is less shocked than I am . . . I guess, since he was executor, he knew what was coming. Really, my jaw just fell to the floor. Hubby says, “It’s the government’s money.” I just wish I liked what this government was doing with that money.
:growl:
Kat- I didnt see your thank you earlier…youre welcomed!…but I really didnt do much at all. It was easy and CK actually found the florist and did the ordering!
I didnt find the OK City bombing info yet because I had to run to Will’s lacrosse game…so scary how rough that game is….and Will wants to play so bad even though it has every element that disturbs him: balls flying at him, people touching him, people knocking him and hitting him, worry about not being able to play well enough, and sunshine in his eyes. He is very brave…
I bourhg my dog lola and she had a grand time with all the dogs there…what a perfect day here today!
Isi- thanks so much for the anxiety info. I am looking into everything, but it is just so hard to know what to try and what to do. I will look at those sites and hopefully they will have something for us. Im hoping for some sort of biofeedback thing…a non medicine approach or supplemetal approach.
I hope it doesnt seem like I think that everyone from OK is a sociopath. There is just an element there, and it exists probably everywhere….but a fringe that is pretty damned over the edge, pushed into the cheapest housing markets down south. These are not really even people who vote and if they are religious they are Saturday drunks who repent on Sunday (isnt there a saying about that?)
My son’s father’s family travels back and forth between MT and OK depending on the weather and work available.
Thus I met him when he was in a long stretch up north and was in a really good place in his life…only to find out that the south calls to him and thats where he belongs in more ways than one!
Yay Otis!!! What a cat!! So strong!
Too bad you cant deduct his medical bills like I can deduct Will’s!!
I love those cookies! What is the name of that company? A bunch of us gym/pilates people sent some of the fantastic flower ones to our pilates teacher when she just had an operation.
And I sent my grandpa a big birthday basket of them with balloons…I wanted to send the old buzzards with the grave stones but I got overruled by family and sent the standard birthday gifts.
Starbucks has some new spring cookies that are like that; shortbread sorta cookies with that hard frosting…I love those but they are, like, half butter!
Man, Matt Lauer signed for 4 more years at 13 mil per year…the same as Katie is getting to be the anchor…good for matt. I think that the Today show is gonna get alot more palatable as it turns towards the liberal world.
Why is AAR trying to kill Marc Maron’s show?
Why cant he broadcast live from a different studio and have them switch on when Snipper talk is over? Why not tape the beginning during its live time and cut to the live feed when the snippers snip? Why not just tape some spots during the afternoon, if its hard to get guests at that late time and then go in and do the show….
Its again like some sorta amateur hour…They couldnt get another studio for him to do the beginning of the show in?
Imus does the TV part of his show till 8:55 AM and then they replay one of the interviews for 5 mins while he walks to the other studio to continue whatever it is he does after 9AM. This is because they need the studio at 9AM.
Why is that so hard?
You pull a switch and continue what youre doing…
This crazy taping thing is gonna backfire.
thinking that they can keep the first hour of some nights as premium content is gonna backfire.
I already dont care that much to go crazy trying to find it.
But I did feel like the show was awfully short….too short…
Oh, and thanks cnick!! I guess Im gonna go to your site to catch it.
Who asked what sort of computer I settled on?…anyway, I got a Dell Inspiron E1705 with a 17 inch screen and Microsoft entertainment center.
Its pretty unbelivable and hooked right up to my linksys with little problem…I still have tons of setup to do and recovery of the old hard drive…but in any case it is fantastic…and the deal was $750 off, so I was bale to get alot more than I might have otherwise.
I think they’re taping the show early so that they can offer it to other (non-West Coast) markets in syndication earlier in the evening (or day, even). Of course, it isn’t syndicated yet, but hopefully next week it’ll be on someplace “live” where we can stream it. But, maybe it won’t be live anywhere. I wonder when exactly they’re taping it? I wonder if there’s a [rayer we could get here in Syracuse. AAR is all around us, Rochester, Ithaca, Binghamton – but not here. Bastids.
I know what you mean about the insurance, Melina. I definitely need to start looking into it again. I of course hope we never have another CATastrophic () illness, and I’m not even sure if Otis will be eligible, going forward. But certainly worth reinvestigating!
The company–which is my new favorite–is called Park Avenue Pastries , and they’re located outside Philly, I think. The site doesn’t show all the stuff they do; for example, I don’t recall there being kitty cookies anywhere, but when I inquired they were able to send me some pix. And, as you can see, they take pictures of everything they send out–which is good when you’re not local. Very flexible, and they really work with you. There’s another place I like, Beautiful Cookies, in Ridgewood, NJ, but I think the real estate factors into their prices. They did do the “Mourning Sedition” cookies I had sent to M&M the last week of the show. (I never got a picture of the actual cookies, but the image looked like this.) These are the cookies someone complained about choking on–one of the crew, but I can’t remember who . . .
And by the way, three cheers for Will!
That must have made you very proud!
(I love the name Will. So solid!)
Well, I just got around to listening to the first half of last night’s show (having listened to the second half this morning). Man, I wish they’d stream the damn thing on AAR or somewhere else.
That author Steele on Majority Report was excellent. Health care in America today. Get sick and you may lose your house.
Oh, man, these cookies are good. Yep
I’m off to Starbucks. Try those cookies.:omg:
:knit::knit2:
So Pj are you there?
Did the theory come true on the West Wing?
I can’t wait to get home and find out.
Slept very well in Vermont- exhausted after the meeting. Now have to get up at
3:30 for a 6am flight. Yikes.
NikiRose why the hell Starbucks- why not Peets?
CK- Its pets health care plan at 800-807-6724. Dont even consider VPI…they are horrible. It used to be just those 2 but there may be more now.
They wont pay for otis’ leg or whatever the vet wrote down as the problem that caused the crash for 11 months, I think…it may actuallyonly be 60 or 90 days. I have to check. I had a big fight with them abotu Angie’s hospitalization because she was treated for a stomach thing during the first week I had her before her sick coverage wa sin effect…then when she got realy sick after the first month or so, they said that it was the same thing and not covered for a certain amount of months. In Ct they passed a law that pre existing conditions couldnt be held against any patient so now if you have any they just charge you a ton of money for your policy instead of giving you a waiting period.
In any case the pet insurance only covers around half of what we pay in this area. The customary charges that they go from are from down in OK ;-)But Pets Health covers well visits, shots, flea and tick and heartworm, and dental…so, if your cats are even slightly getting old you probably will at least break somewhat even. I am constantly spending on these guys…and I havent done a real comparison of what it would be if I just put the money in the bank for emergencies….but Im worried that the minute I cancel it something really bad will happen!…superstitious or something.
Ill have to write down the cookie thing. I did use the one in NJ.
I also like those arrangements of fresh fruit cut into flowers.
Oh, also, I was just ordering some new bumper stickers for my car and my favorite magnetic ribbon (which keeos disappearing) that says “just pretend its all OK” on it.
and I found a bumper sticker that says “wake up Sheeple!”
Check down the page here
Nite all…very tired from my crazy day of lacrosse madness and cleaning etc…
hope for a longer show tomorrow!!
:bow:Thanks cnick for last night’s show. Even though I’m in Little Beirut, 11 PM is too late for me to start listening to a show. I get plenty of rest as I am bed-bound until my custom power wheelchair gets here.
FK it’s funny how people react differently to meds. I did okay with oxycodone, but oxycontin, same thing only time release, gave me really weird dreams–go figure. The important thing is to stay on top of the pain. A speedy recovery
