So, a priest, a nun a rabbi, a Protestant, and a Muslim all walk into a TV studio and sit down with Mr. Potatohead. That’s no joke, it’s today’s edtion of Press the Meat, and Timmuh will toss in a “Meet the Press Minute” with Billy Graham, who is apparently not dead yet.
On Fazed the Nation, Bush buddy Bob Schieffer has New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Republican George “Turd” Allen.
Over at ABC, George Snufalufagus has Richard Myers – one of the few remaining retired Generals who don’t think Rummy should be frog-marched out of the DoD. I guess Myers is hoping for a seat on the Carlyle Group’s board. Then it’s Republican Dick Lugar of Indiana, along with Republican-lite Evan Bayh, also of Indiana. At the roundtable it’s Slimey Joe Klein of Time, political mastermind of the Gore Campaign, Donna Brazile, and George :jerk: Will, and Harry Connick Jr. will be on to talk about his work with Habitat for Humanity in New Orelans.
On Fux News Sunday, Chris “Dickface” Wallace has asshole Republican Mitch McConnell of TN and Chris Dodd of CT to tlak about our next glorious war with Iran, and then Newt Gingrich stops by to prove that you’re never too irrelevant, or too much of an asshole, to be on Fox. Plus, a seasonal scare story about the IRS.
CNN’s Late Edition has Samir Sumaidaie (the Iraqi ambassador to the U.S.), Dianne Feinstein, Republican douchebag Duncan Hunter (possbily the biggest player in quashing any meaningful investigation into Abu Ghraib, and a big force behind ignoring the 9/11 Commisison’s recommendations), and, speaking of evil, they’ll have both HenryKissinger and Jerry Falwell (just out of curiosity, why would you have Jerry Falwell on any legitimate news program. Oh, that’s right, it’s CNN). Plus, retired Army Brig. Gen. David Grange.
On 60 Minutes, Bob Simon goes into one of Israel’s maximum security prisons to speak with three Palestinian terrorists, Lesley Stahl tells us there’s a shortage of babes in China, and EdBradley does a segment on Jamie Oliver, who I gather is a teevee chef.
On the West Wing, they’ll be burying poor Leo (but who will the new VP be?), and we’ll see if Tony’s done puking up blood on the Sopranos. Have a nice Sunday.
:banana:1 biatches!:fu:
You threw me off there, Sean :rofl2:
hey sweet pseudo-porn on showtime!
What a bunch of losers on the Sunday Morning Shows, except for Harry Connick, Jr!

Has anybody heard the late, breaking news on Art Bell?
(Does anybody give a leap?)
Was the news about Art Bell or something breaking that was heard on the Art bell show …???
Good morning! What happened to Art Bell?
Nothing “new” breaking anywhere else so far..
The kind of “cats” you find outside around here.

Maybe Nicki was just trying to up Art Bell’s ratings
I can use a dose of Art Bell from time to time, even though he’s off the wall. I found out about my past lives and how my soul split into three parts by listening to his guests
Maybe Battle Start Galactica and her convoy finally got here ???
Ewwwww C-span is ruining the morning with dictatordorps news conference..:barf::fu::bow::doh::fustrate:
Well I have to go out and see if any new stars have appeared in the sky.. Blog with ya all later,
Art has married a young Filipino woman and will move his radio show to the Philipines. He is eager to sell his vehicles and other stuff before the big move.
:omg:
Be sure to send me photos of the Manhattan conquest. :nixon:
Art Bell’s New Wife
During the first hour, Art shared the story of how he met, fell in love with, and married a very special Filipino woman, Airyn Ruiz. Art also announced that he will be moving to the Philippines on April 29th to be with Airyn, but will continue doing weekend Coast programs from that location. Photos of Art and Airyn can be viewed on this page.

If I find anything interesting to wear or do anything outstanding, you’ll be the first to know. Still looking for a good cat woman outfit
Hey all….Friday night’s show was fantastic! I think I’ve listened to it 3 times since getting the podcast. The exchange between Marc & Jim over the music stuff was hysterical!
Hope all is going well across the big pond though! :gate: Happy Colored Egg Day!
That should not be a problem for an artiste such as you.
Yep, it was funny… those two are on a roll, I think they’re starting to hit their stride!
Get ready for the Post-Resurrection!:jesus:
Happy Easter, :sheep:le!
Hey, PJ. How you feelin’?
Happy egg coloring day everybody! Wow new emoticons! Yeahhhhh! :knit2: What? Have I been away too long?
I’ve been busy losing interest in myself and in my country. You understand don’t you? I wrote some new songs. Does it matter? I miss this blog. Oh another one! :knit: Yeeeaaaahhhh! I’m depressed again….huh? ….:joe: :jason: Hey Travis! No new posts on your site man! What’s up?
You guys brought up Art Bell? I think I’ve been made fun of for that…..hmmmm……:alc: Yeaaaaaahhhhhh! It’s good to be back!:sammy::omg:
Later :sheep: ahh…I’m so fat….
So…where are the athiests in this little circle jerk that Tim is hosting?
I hate to be negative and I should thank Timmy and his friends for freeing me up to eat candy and watch movies.
Even the Times has David Brooks filling in for Rich…WTF???What is Brooks’ take on things? “The good fight, done badly.”
Rats on a sinking ship…aint it grand?Still waiting for the torrent of Friday…ugh…Im gonna look at last night’s blog to see if the magic torrent people have posted it.
Who posts it anyway?…maybe I could someday…except that I dont have this particular one!!
Art Bell…? What ears!!…Ive got to show Will. he thinks HE has big ears!
Susan- are you going to the parade? Its the ultimate in dressing up silly…but more focused on elaborate hats.
I have a big head. Most hats dont fit me!
Sorry to anyone religious…including my Mom who is gonna be here any minute to talk about the rising (and I dont mean springsteen either…and she is a lapsed catholic in a big way, but at times like this the ingrained stuff comes out…) and Ill argue a reasonable explanation for everything…and she will call me silly and eat chocolate for breakfast….
Fat!!…I think Im going back to weight watchers this week…but my jeans still fit so maybe its not that bad yet.
The peep-o-rama goes on!
Don’t forget, we want pictures! Oh, Melina, the Friday show torrent is up.
Jason, Gaijinda, nice to see yez.
Hi Melina…I never thought of the Easter parade! that might be fun some time…(LOL I have a big head also)
, but today I’m going out with some friends to a kosher for Passover restaurant.(I’m not kosher, but they are). They had to have kosher, but they’re pretty experimental with things other than food. So far we only passed around my musician friend’s Batman mask, but that’s pretty intense for a place where orthodox Jews wear long skirts that won’t reveal their ankles. I don’t know what’s going to wear this time, honestly, but I just feel like wearing something different and special.
Well try to enjoy the holiday…yeah, my mom gets all religious at times like this too. She enjoys religion during holidays, ignores it most of the rest of the year. As for chocolate, I must eat tons of it, for breakfast or otherwise. It’s my personal religious ritual. And my jeans still fit so I won’t give it up, so I hear ya.
David Brooks just sucks. He’s living in his own little world which has nothing to do with reality and how normal people live.
Hey Jason, long time buddy!:joe:
Breaking News from CNN:
John Paul II still dead.
Thanks for the headsup PJ…Ive got it!! Yay!
Malted milk eggs and Marc….
What is the matter with the Sunday shows?
Now my grandpa called to tell me that we have no voice and should not speak out or we will be bombed…
I think that the rise of antisemitism in Europe has him freaked out…but to feel like there is no recourse in this day and age is crazy. I would never want to show my kid that he shouldnt speak out!
Where are the democrats?
When George Will sounds like the reasonable voice you know youre in trouble!!
In honor of my parents on Easter. This is an old favorite hymn of theirs written in 1912. And, was what I think Jesus meant to people before he was used politically, or as a means to go to war, or to gain wealth or before televangelism reared its ugly head.
In The Garden
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear,
Falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
(Chorus) And He walks with me,
And He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody
That He gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing.
Chorus
I’d stay in the garden with Him
Tho’ the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go;
Thro’ the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.
Chorus
This very interesting article from The Independent (UK)
Remember Judy Garland singing:
im hungry!
ahhhhh fallwell is on the tv!

Um, well, on TV I’m hearing people say that I killed Jesus…Yeah, but they’re also saying that Jesus died to save me…I’m lost, and I think they are too.
Happy Easter:bong: Bong Hits 4 Jesus

Happy Easter Egg Day, folks.
Good reading, isi, thanks
where are you Sean?
galveston texas going to utah tonight very scary!
pollution city to sex and salt country (polygamists MUST have lots of sex, right? spread the seed thing.)
do you have a book of mormon on your dash? lived in slc as a child, went to all the mormon functions even though i was a “good” espiscopalian ….man, they try HARD to convert you. Don’t much care for religions that hold men higher than women and that want to primarily control my uterus for increasing the size of their flock. :yuck:
they had a polygamy thing on larry king i think i saw it on the tv like three times yesterday! craziness anyway me and melina were having an im discussion about um energy yep and i have figured out how to solve the energy crisis we put illegal immigrants on excercise bikes and make them generate electricity! yep yep if they want to live here they have to help american society by enabling our gluttonous power consumption! or something anyway ok well im leaving this stupid hotel that tried to charge me a late fee for missing checkout time by a half hour when they forgot my wake up call the bastards!
i went to a mormon church during basic training it was off base and they would give you ice cream sundaes and you could just sit there and read the paper during church not pay any attention it was great except for the bible study type thing they had after church they had you participate in they didnt seem to care much for anything i had to say concerning the john smith theory
hey go sign this and stop bad movies!
So my plan on Friday was to contribute something of substance to the blog–what I had picked up and synthesized about Ed Schultz. I researched and got off on byways and collected stuff in the blog window here–started the prosess at post #106 and worked for close to 3 hrs and then refreshed or something and lost it all:billcat::fustrate::doh::alc::yuck::40::omg:
So, I am going to try in shorter bits. Okay?:fire:
yes ok but hurry up i want to read it when i get to my truck!
Part 1. Ed Schultz broadcasted from Powells City of Books right when his book came out and in one of the commercial breaks introduced Tom Athens head of Democracy Radio and claimed TA as the “parent” liberal talk radio.
lol got this from democratic underground
Rupert Murdoch
You must admit, Rupert Murdoch has got a good thing going. He runs the Fox News Channel, where outraged conservative groups such as the Parents Television Council can air their grievances over the immoral state of television programs these days, and he also runs the Fox Network, which produces the vast majority of those morally outrageous shows.
Says who? Well, the Parents Television Council for starters – they released a report last week claiming that Fox “produces six of the worst shows for family viewing,” according to the UK Guardian. Apparently the PTC have got their panties in a bunch over shows such as The War At Home (“one of the most mindless and unapologetically vulgar shows on television”) and Family Guy (“includes jokes about necrophilia and masturbation”).
So Rupert Murdoch puts out shows which outrage conservatives on the Fox Network, and then employs pundits to constantly froth at the mouth about the decline of American values on the Fox News Channel…
It’s like a conservative idiots perpetual motion machine!
heres some schultz quotes
Move 1: Homelessness
Turn to the right: “Yeah, it’s cold out, but you’d think these people could figure out how to get out of it. How about getting a job?” —1993
Now turn to the left: “A lot of these homeless folks are Vietnam veterans. . . . We’ve turned our back on these people after they gave to the country. What’s wrong with this picture?” —2001
Move 2: Farm Subsidies
Slide to the right: “The American farmer’s hat is bent from being stuck in the mailbox waiting for the government check.” —1994
Now slide to the left: “This country can’t survive without the American farmer. . . . We aren’t just subsidizing the farmer, we are making it possible for every American to purchase food.” —2000
Move 3: Universal Health Care
Dip to the right: “Why should I have to take care of somebody down the street because I am successful and they have failed?” —1995
Now dip to the left: “The health-care industry and the lack of coverage for millions of Americans has to be on the table. We need a universal package.” —2001
Ed Schultz swears to the big investor model for progressive talk radio. This will ensure that the hosts will remain firmly within the bounds of our coporated dominated culture. But even still, even an Ed Schultz can provide “wiggle room.”
Toward an American Revolution!:omg:
“I’m thirsty!”
Where’s the Vampyre emoticon?
1 user on-line. Everybody must be in Manhattan, now. Why is the fucking rent so high there?
Well, what’s one without the other, really?
Al Franken will be broadcasting live in St. Louis 4/25. I just requested a ticket. I am not a fan, but he is the ONLY progressive/liberal voice in this area so I thought I should support that and try to go.
Al Franken: Nothing to lose.
Al Franken: Hitting the booze.
Al Franken: King of the Jews!

From an opinion piece entitled Bombs That Would Backfire, in today’s NY Times by Richard Clarke and Steven Simon.
Wow, two mormon missionaries just came to my door! I wonder if the word got out that I’m a heathen.
Thanks pj, I’m going to read that right now.
Be afraid, be very afraid 😮
Let’s see if Congress stops Bush this time. Bush fooled them once. Are they going to let him sucker them again?!
Hope all is going well across the big pond though! Happy Colored Egg Day!

:omg::omg::omg:
Part 2 (re#58) Recent (like 4/14 06) Googling of Democracy Radio turned up news stories From Jan (I think) -March 2003 that several prominent dems congressional and other had formed Democracy Radio with “congressional staffer” (more recently “Senator Debbie Stabenow’s husband” ) Tom Athans as director $1.8 million was pledged to get liberal/progressive talkers on the air. Schultz was the first and Steph (‘Rawk Honda”) Miller daughter of former Republican U.S. Representative William Miller, Barry Goldwater’s running mate in the 1964 Presidential election, the second and last(?) :billcat:
(got all that.I am a not fully recovered academic and pedant:knit2:)
Where to move to now?
(I’m going to Graceland, but your northerners may need a new plan 😮 )
great t-shirt, kev!
if you ask them if it’s true the church allows the young men to sow their oats before marriage, but not the women, they usually take off packing.
there’s also a piece in the nyt from a former pentagon general in support of rumsfart.
A General Misunderstanding
i found many of his comments innane and disingenious.
Part 3 Re #72
Sorry got interrupted by tshirt shopping.:fire:
Anyhow
Randi has mentioned more than once that she went to a meeting at Sen. Mary Landrieu’s where she planned to present her idea for national liberal talk radio. She says she was surprised to learn that it was a fund raising thing (which I assume was for Democracy Radio.) Randi said she didn’t take the money and Ed did.
I’m home. Boring. People didn’t show up, except for the two people I didn’t really like. I went to the village for a couple of hours and went shopping, then home.
Wow, two mormon missionaries just came to my door! I wonder if the word got out that I’m a heathen.
I love when Jehovah’s Witnesses come to my door and I tell them I’m a pagan Jew, they simply can’t handle it. Then I smile wickedly and invite them in because my Santero friends are doing a drumming circle in the living room, would they like to join? 🙂
Holy crap. I just started listening to Friday’s show, and it is AWFUL. How are two funny and intelligent guys so unfunny and unintelligent? And I’m not demanding that they “talk about the issues, we’re fighting for our live here!”, just that they keep the show MOVING a little bit. They grind to a babbling halt with a frequency that is alarming.
These guys have a lot of talent. I listened to Morning Sedition from the very first day, and heard Marc blossom into a real radio talent. I miss that talent, and I haven’t heard it nearly enough.
Mormons in New York! Where? Yonkers? :omg::rofl2:
:nixon:out!
Part 4 Re #76
I hope I’m headed into the home stretch with this:omg:
Randi says that her idea was to go national, get syndicated or quit. AAR turned out to be her way of doing It. So much for ES big BUSINESS model.
FWIWNMIMHO
This is what I have gleaned from listening to Ed and Rand (not as much as I used to–both are repetitious, but so are they all.) Yes. Ed used to be a righty and he is also supposedly anti-choice, but I never heard or read anything anti-choice on the shows I heard or the biographical parts of his book which I did read.
I deduce, surmise or guess that in 2003 there were at least two groups trying to something to get liberal talk radio going and they didn’t co-operate.
(I don’t recall any mention of Democracy Radio in Ed’s book or in Sheldon Drobny’s book The Road to Air America which also came out in 2004. Nor was it mentioned inLeft of the Dial or the 2 DVD commentaries which I recently sawheard.
Schultz got on the air in early Jan 2004 but in 2 tiny places. His first major markets were along with AAR on 3/31/04. He spent a lot of time time distinguishing himself from AAR and mentioning that he was syndicated by Jones.
Below is the Wikipedia entry for the Ed Schultz Show
Also Democracy Radio folded and Tom Athans went to work for AAR. I can no longer locate the web site and when I got to it before, I think in June 2005, I could only find one page which said they had done their job and Athans had gone to work for AAR. So if DR actually collected the $1.8 million it looks like they got the two shows on the air fo the money; I don’t know if that is cheap or expensive.
I am sure Schultz is an opportunist. I think he is probably useful to the cause as a bridge and I am sure from the exchange on AAR Phoenix that started this discussion that he is pissed off that he and his investor were beaten out by the bakesalers.
