Here’s a quote from yesterday’s Marc blog:
Just know that this show is the red headed stepchild of AAR and KTLK. We’re kinda on our own out here. I have no news on syndication. I’m just trying to stay focused. I really have no control over this stuff.
OK, it’s time to motivate the Seditonists again. Back when they kept promising a Marc show on KTLK and missing start date after start date – not even securing a goddamn studio for the show – we started calling and e-mailing, and the show finally got on the air. Many of us stay up to listen to the show in realtime (or what used to be realtime, now it’s just offical broadcast time, I guess). Others joined premium just for Marc and Jim. Still others paid for software and jumped through all kinds of hoops just to hear the show. We’ve dealt with Clippers games, lousy streams, Rock Honda commercials, and every other goddamn thing they could throw at us. We thought the end of the Danny Goldberg era would be an improvement.
We were happy to get Marc on the air again – the show is the best thing they’ve got going, even if they don’t realize it – and we’ve been patient. But goddamn it, it’s time for them to stop jerking Marc – and us – around. AAR has consistently taken its listeners for granted. They’ve acted a lot like the Democratic Party, in fact, telling us we’d better take what they shovel us, because they’re all we have.
Well fuck it. It’s time to start calling and e-mailing again. It’s time AAR stopped jerking Marc – and us – around. Let’s start calling AAR, demanding that they syndicate the show. We know from Kristapea that the Phoenix affiliate wants the show. I have no doubt that others do, too – or would, if AAR would actively shop the show around. Let’s get the Marc Maron Show on as many stations as possible. Let’s get it on XM, or Sirius (or both). Let’s be a pain in the ass of the suits at AAR until the Marc Show is on more stations than all the other AAR shows combined!
AAR Contact Info is on this page. It’s old, so if anybody has new info, feel free to post it or pass it along to me. You can always e-mail me at my user name here, at morningseditionists.com.
Call AAR. Call the sponsors. Call your local affiliates, if you have one.
Let’s have everybody – posters and lurkers alike – keep calling and writing until we get some action. We have visitors from all over the world – by the end of June, we’ll have had 100,000 visitors since Dec, 2005. We may not have enough clout to get an Alito filibuster, but goddamn it, there are enough people visiting this site every day to be a major pain in the ass to AAR (and its sponsors). So, let’s be a major pain in the ass. As always, be polite – but be honest and clear about your feelings. If you’re an AAR premium member or associate, don’t forget to mention it.
After you call, don’t forget to post your experience here. If you get an e-mail response, please share it with the rest of us.
Free Marc!
51 to go.

It is a good time to start with the six month anniversary of the death of Morning Sedition tomorrow. How we all wept. WEPT! at the end of a show.

Fed hints at looming US slowdown (BBC) {Beige Book report}
Despite recent growth in the US, there are signs the economy could be slowing down, the US Federal Reserve has said.
While overall economic activity grew between April and June, consumers are showing signs of caution as energy prices rise, the Fed’s Beige Book said.
Particularly hard hit are lower income families, as sales at low price discount stores weakened.
The Beige Book, based on information from 12 regional Federal Banks aims to give a snapshot of the US economy.
“High gasoline prices were cited by a few districts as changing purchasing patterns or clouding the outlook for sales,” the Fed survey said.

Morning, fred. Let’s see, 86F is about 30C. Yeah, 30 in the office is not conducive to a productive day, no matter the job!
Reich is babbling this morning .. he usually knows what he is talking about..sounds like he just inverted the rethug babble.:omg::yawn::yawn::joe::joe:
I should reprogram the kludged thermometer to display the temp in degrees C this time of the day but then I would be putting on my coat.. Hey I didn’t even bring a coat.:yawn: ( we need a fan emo)
Things in the east must be netter than they are out here. I talked with someone in Santa Clara yesterday and he said they were having the same techie unemployment problems we were here.. The tech community is just a very small number of people in comparison to the overall work force but no one else seems to be in good economic shape either. People must just read the WSJ and not bother to look at the lines at the soup kitchens and the overflow at the shelters.
AAR should send Riley, Maddow and Springer out to work the lines at the soup kitchen after work they might report less than rosy conditions.

Since 90% pg the insurgents are Iraqi’s blowing up Americans on the way to work. offering them amnesty would make sense since trying to round them up would be impossible and would make their government look just more like the puppets they are.:gate::omg::jason::fist:
Riley seems to come out of reset each morning and doesn’t remember what he has heard in the days and weeks just before the moment he says something.. Kind of like some college students I knew who crammed for the test and pushed erase memory shortly there after.:omg::doh::alc::40::joe::joe::rant1:

Hey bloggerati. Happy to have you all here.
That said, I hereby declare that the comments under recent blog posts has been drifting into pointless personal nastiness. Which is tiring, I think, in an otherwise fun place to hang out.
Full-throated debate and discussion? Sure!
Thin-skinned snippiness and threats? BO-ring.
Be nice. Flame elsewhere. Thanks.

We have much better emos than AAR does anyhow..

On the walk home from work, I dropped two postcards in the international mailbox. One to KTLK and one to AAR both shaming them (as much as you can on a postcard) about the treatment of Marc. :spank: them. :spank: them both.
AAR seems to take advice from our email about as well as the senate does. After all they hire expensive consultants to figure out what their listeners want to hear.
God, Rachel is getting bad. I can’t even wake up to her. Hey, Fred. Waking up to something about a “chubby hubby” Is that for real about Rachel censoring stuff on her blog?
There’s a stack of Taiwan postcards that are prestamped for the US. I’m fired and ready to sent them off.
Everyone in an office looks at a colorful postcard (and sneaks a peek at the message), don’t they? or is it just me? 😳
I just tok a quick look at Rachel’s blog. Seems pretty tame, to me. Pretty lame, too.
pj – thanks for waking up the :fire: . It’s time to try again.
If my crappy little refrigerator held more than one box of wine, you’d really see some fightin’ words.
see the :fire: and hear it roar!
Morning!
KK, the postcard is a fine idea!
a quick drive-by; crazy busy ’round here.
I’ll post this NYT piece from yesterday and hope you can read it if you’d like. I thought it poignant.
As soon as my time was up, I headed home. I was a few miles from the Pakistani border when I learned with horror about the attacks of 9/11. Days later, the border was sealed off, and the only way through to Pakistan and a plane to Europe was across the mountains of the Hindu Kush. I was with a group of people who were all going the same way. No one was armed; most of them, like me, had been lured to Afghanistan by a misguided and mistimed sense of adventure, and were simply trying to make their way home.
What a sad story – the thing is that same story or one very similar is probably fairly common 🙁
PJ, I’m on a letter-writing and phone-calling campaign today for Marc, thanks for all the contact info :fist:
Thanks Susan, because I think We kept Marc going when Goldberg tried to end it. We need to push again for more.
It will be done. No friggin around, it’s time to get off our asses
Let’s get the :fire: rolling!

I admit I can’t look at most of those images. I can barely even look at the supposedly “mild” ones he talked about in the article. I’m extremely sensitive when it comes to such things; but then again, I don’t need convincing that the war is hell. I already know. However it’s extremely important that we convince some others, even if it “hurts” their sensibilities. There are people wayyy too comfortable behind their television sets watching FOX or CNN. There are young kids (and some not so young) that have a video-game desensitized idea of what this is all about. These pictures are what is needed to wake them up.
Images of Vietnam on television were considered instrumental in ending the conflict. The media learned its lesson too well from that…never again let them see the truth. “Eurasia will always be at war with East Asia” and it will always be glorioius when presented on TV. The conservatives “spin” that showing the horror of war is the propaganda! That this sick, twisted message is working with ANYONE is the real horror.
Fourth Amendment continues to erode under this Bushevik Regime. Weep America as we watch our country become a corporate police state:

Those 50 cal assault rifles are way to expensive for me.. Something like 4500 bucks.. The ammo is like $1.45 a shell too. The interesting thing is the guy at Freeperville said he sells a lot of them.. I wonder who he sells them to ??
The guy at Freeperville is also into paint ball guns and other weapons.. They have some interesting mortars and even a field artillery peace that run on compressed air.. Now what to use for ammunition ??:?::gate::omg::jason::fist:

“The Demons of Greed are Loose”
Why a Global Economic Deluge Looms
By GABRIEL KOLKO
People who know the most about the world financial system are increasingly worried, and for very good reasons. Dire warnings are coming from the most “respectable” sources. Reality has gotten out of hand. The demons of greed are loose.
What is that reality? It includes a number of factors. Alone they would be exceedingly serious; combined, they are very likely to be lethal.
First of all, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been undergoing both a structural and intellectual crisis. Structurally, its outstanding credit and loans have declined dramatically since 2003, from over $70 billion to a little over $20 billion today, leaving it with far less leverage over the economic policies of developing nations–and even less income than its expensive operations require. It is now in deficit.1
A large part of the IMF’s problems are due to the doubling in world prices for all commodities since 2003 — especially petroleum, copper, silver, zinc, nickel, and the like — that the developing nations traditionally export. While there will be fluctuations in this upsurge, there is also reason to think it may endure because rapid economic growth in China, India, and elsewhere has created a burgeoning demand that did not exist before, when the balance-of-trade systematically favored the rich nations…

:billcat:PT (pain & torture aka physical therapy) over.
To continue I called AAR and said I wanted to talk to someone about the Marc Maron show. The switchboard person eventually came back on the line and said the program director said MM was no longer with the network. I asked to talk with the PD and was given to “Mike” to whom I politely vented. He mentioned technical difficulties at KTLK but was unable to explain further.
He did emphasize AAR’s desire to have the technical wrinkles ironed out before syndicaton and MARKETING
I countered with a sample of what we had already put up with.
I asked, he did not volunteer, that programming was the appropriate department to address.
He did volunteer that he would tell senior management about my call.

The political and ideological division separating Palestinian society in the Occupied Territories has metamorphosed into a formidable chasm, despite the urgent need to consolidate Palestinian national unity in this current crisis.
And a time of crisis it is. Never since the concoction of the Israeli state and the subsequent ethnic cleansing of nearly one million Palestinians in 1947-48, has an Israeli government been as determined as that of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to settle its account with the Palestinians, in so vile and careless a way.
There is a growing realization among Israeli politicians that mirrors a sense of fear and anxiety from a possible relegation of the political hegemony and import of the United States. The US has served–and paradoxically inconsistently with its own interests–the role of the protector and provider, leaving Israel emancipated of any regional and international accountability, free to pursue its own agenda–imperialistic and violently racist, as it were–at the expense of the Palestinians and its Arab neighbors. The Israeli heyday may be over soon, due to growing predictions that the American project–for various reasons, notwithstanding the disaster-prone Iraq war -is likely to diminish in coming years. And without US patronage, Israel is much less capable of serving as the region’s bully.
RAMZY BAROUD
Israel’s Defense Minister Amir Peretz announced today that Israel is preparing a global “propaganda offensive” to counter the recent barrage of news reports and writings that condemned Israel for the recent killing of 10 civilians, including 5 children, on a Gaza beach. In political and media lingo this is called spin, to twist and turn an event so as to give an intended interpretation, and Israel excels at it.
Israel is unable to comprehend that by going to extremes to find a single event that lends itself well for a “propaganda offensive,” its continued military occupation, now extrajudicially killing an average of 10 Palestinians per day, is causing so much death and destruction that its spin not only instigates further animosity against Israel, but fuels a culture of propaganda and arbitrary aggression in Israel that is ripping apart Israeli society at its fragile seams.

Who’s The Terrorist?
By Ward Churchill
Once again what I have said has been turned into the opposite of itself.
First, Dan Caplis, Craig Silverman and numerous other right-wing media spinmeisters asserted that I “advocated” terrorist attacks on the United States in my Op-Ed piece of Sept. 12, 2001. Even a casual reading of that piece, as well as the 300-page book On the Justice of Roosting Chickens in which I more fully explicated and documented my argument, reveals that I did not advocate such attacks. Rather, I pointed out that they were and will continue to be the inevitable result of a U.S. foreign policy that disregards the rule of law and results in massive death and destruction abroad.
Next, the dynamic duo and their colleagues attempted to discredit me through an endless stream of personal attacks. These have failed because the facts, even though not reported in the media, do not support their assertions.
Now, in both a paid ad and a prominently featured Op-Ed piece March 5 in the News (“Churchill’s active advocacy of violence demands his firing”), Caplis and Silverman have resorted to the outright lie that I have actively sought to incite “violent revolution.”
I have done no such thing. To the contrary, what I have consistently advocated over the years is the rule of law.
The great bulk of my scholarly work has been devoted to documenting the United States’ disregard for law and the resulting violence it has perpetrated both domestically and internationally. I believe that such practices inevitably breed violence in response, and that the most effective way to ensure the security of all peoples is adherence to the Constitution and international law, particularly the laws of war and fundamental human rights law.
Churchill: committee a sham
By PAULA PANT Colorado Daily Staff Writer
Wednesday, June 14, 2006 8:14 PM MDT
Tenured CU professor Ward Churchill defended the integrity of his academic research in an interview with the Colorado Daily on Wednesday, saying the faculty committees which reviewed his work were biased and that the CU administration has been searching for an excuse to legally fire him.
Churchill also said a lawsuit against CU is “obviously an option,” should Boulder Chancellor Phil DiStefano act on the Standing Committee on Research Misconduct’s (SCRM) recommendation, released Tuesday, to fire him for what the committee described as “repeated and deliberate” research infractions.
The ethnic studies professor came under intense public criticism in 2005 for his online 2001 essay comparing “technocrats” who died in the World Trade Center attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 to Adolf Eichmann, an architect of the Nazi holocaust.
A formal complaint of research misconduct was lodged against Churchill, and an Investigative Committee began an examination of his research. In May, the committee released a 124-page report finding him responsible for repeated and deliberate acts of plagiarism, falsification and fabrication of information.
SCRM reviewed the report and Tuesday issued a recommendation to the administration that Churchill be fired.
On Wednesday morning Churchill told the Colorado Daily that the investigative committee had “preordained conclusions” about his work as a result of the negative media attention surrounding him.
“In that context, you could not bring unbiased people on the committee,” said Churchill, whose request for a committee which included people external to the CU system was denied…
after reading wanwenxia’s post (do you give PT or submit to PT??!), perhaps we need to find marc & Jim a new horse on which to hitch their ride. AAR is too screwed up, which is very sad. Jones radio network that has Ed (who are they anyway?)…lottery tickets, has anyone slept with George Soros lately and can call in a favor?
Hi,
This is a reminder that you have volunteered to work with me backstage
at the MicroBlues Festival this Saturday, June 17th.
The festival is at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver, Washington.
Please try to be there at least 15 minutes before your shift starts, to
check
in and get your shirt etc.
You have signed up for the 11:30 am to 3:30 pm shift. See you there
and thanks for volunteering.
Yes! AAR is in the toilet. Shall we quit? Give up!:omg:
When queried by reporters concerning his views on the assassination of John F. Kennedy in November 1963, Malcolm X famously – and quite charitably, all things considered – replied that it was merely a case of “chickens coming home to roost.”
On the morning of September 11, 2001, a few more chickens – along with some half-million dead Iraqi children – came home to roost in a very big way at the twin towers of New York’s World Trade Center. Well, actually, a few of them seem to have nestled in at the Pentagon as well.
The Iraqi youngsters, all of them under 12, died as a predictable – in fact, widely predicted – result of the 1991 US “surgical” bombing of their country’s water purification and sewage facilities, as well as other “infrastructural” targets upon which Iraq’s civilian population depends for its very survival.
If the nature of the bombing were not already bad enough – and it should be noted that this sort of “aerial warfare” constitutes a Class I Crime Against humanity, entailing myriad gross violations of international law, as well as every conceivable standard of “civilized” behavior – the death toll has been steadily ratcheted up by US-imposed sanctions for a full decade now. Enforced all the while by a massive military presence and periodic bombing raids, the embargo has greatly impaired the victims’ ability to import the nutrients, medicines and other materials necessary to saving the lives of even their toddlers.
All told, Iraq has a population of about 18 million. The 500,000 kids lost to date thus represent something on the order of 25 percent of their age group. Indisputably, the rest have suffered – are still suffering – a combination of physical debilitation and psychological trauma severe enough to prevent their ever fully recovering. In effect, an entire generation has been obliterated. . .
WARD CHURCHILL
Justice Kennedy voted with the solid gestapo bloc on the Supreme Court to allow police to break in without knocking.

Stephie Miller is part of the Jones radio network and she works in the same studio with Marc so maybe someone should encourage Marc to talk to Stephie.
Jones is a topdown absolute profit driven outfit. As for me, I am sticking with AAR. With all of its dysfunctions. RadioNation, baby!
The Dems and their mouth peace Ed Shultz are going off about the Iraqi presidents .. er.. puppets pronouncement that he would give amnesty to the insurgents that have killed US troops. Going off about this shows that they haven’t the slightest idea of what they are talking about. How can our so called media and our so called representatives be so detached from reality too. What are they proposing to do find every Iraqi who ever shot at an American ?? How do you do that ?? That would be like King George saying that he will let America be independent if we round up and execute the revolutionary army.. such a bunch of crap.
:gate::omg::jason::eek::yuck::fu::fu::fu:
AAR under Goldturd also became a top down profit driven concern so what’s the difference ?? Laura, Sam and Malloy are the only real lefties on the Fing netowrk :gate::omg::fu::fu::fu:
Attention people! RM speaking!
I have noticed that your posts have become increasingly negative and loveless. If you can’t say anything “spiritually uplifting” and positive, flame and rave elsewhere. Perhaps the pirate marc maron blog will be more to your taste. http://www.morningseditionists.com
I’ll bet there is more leeway at AAR than there is at Jones. Anyway, persuade Maron to go join ed schultz. I don’t give one fuck about the whole matter.
:doh::fustrate::fustrate: I submit The PT is very nice but a full-fledged member of the I-don’t-want-to- pay-for-it branch of the libertarian brigade who particularly thinks that all the illegals can and should be deported.

ok, calls and letters done. Now where do I drop the bombs?
just kidding. I still have to do a few more letters. it was hot at work, air conditioning broke down…I feel like Fred 🙁
Didn’t listen to the radio at all today. Hot and depressed and lonely.
Continuing to take away more of our rights (break ins without knocking stuff)…that’s the little bit I caught on the radio on the trip home… I knew this was going to happen with those freaks that were put on the Supreme Court
The problem with Danny’s team is that it was from Goldman Sachs. The questions didn’t deal with party affiliation, didn’t deal with personalities , didn’t deal with content they just dealt with how fast can you turn a profit and who would be stupid enough to buy the company from you and for how much ??
I feel your pain, Suzie.
Speaking of the AC its fixed :banana::banana:
Having the cooling water turned off for several days apparently let a bunch of suspended debris fall down into the bottom of the cooling coils and when they turned the pumps back on it plugged up the intake filters to the pumps. All fixed and blowing cold air .. Whewwwww:banana::banana::banana: If it runs all night the temperature should be back to normal tomorrow.
I’m happy for you, Fred 🙂 What made it bad at work was the kids I was teaching…I was coping (barely), but they seriously weren’t…the A/C fix-it person is schedule to be there before I go to work tomorrow, thank goodness.
excellent suggestion!
Nothing like a bunch of overheated unhappy little kids whining and picking on each other to make your day.. Almost like a bunch of hot and bothered MBA’s.:40::40::mad::rant1:

Seeing the HUM ( higher up management) running around in their shorts, sweats and tennis shoes was apparently a site to behold. The administrative assistant took pictures.. she will get a good raise this year I’m sure since they went out in the internal email…:omg::banana::banana::doh:
hehe…I vote for “prophets”
but cool prophets, like rock ‘n roll prophets!
uh hey my laptops screen is broken any clue about what it would cost to get it replaced?
This debate between the prophets and the profits seems a lot like the time someone chased the money changers out of the temple.. oops.. sorry I brought that up.. heheheh.:peace::jesus::nixon:
mother fucker! now i am gonna have to buy a new laptop tomorrow!
Prophets prophesize of the time when profits are defunct! :omg:
The problem I had getting my out of warranty laptop fixed was finding someone to fix it .. A lot of the parts must be made from unobtainium so most computer fix it places won’t touch them with a ten foot pole. I have an older HP laptop that had the CPU cooling fan go out in it and I can’t find a replacement fan anywhere so its been lying around in peaces for well over a year now.
yeah baby! :fist:
:growl:but i dont want a new laptop!
I will prophesize that Sean’s laptop is a Dell and that the hinge plastic parts failed.. ❓ ❗
toshiba and the screen is cracked i can kinda see the blog though
Marc Maron on the Majority Report tonight!
Gary Krantz is AAR’s president (unless he got dumped somewhere along the way). I tried sending him an e-mail at gkrantz@airamericaradio.com and it hasn’t bounced yet, so hopefully that’s it. Jon Sinton is president of progamming, and has been responsive to some people in the past (not me though). I didn’t get a chance to make any phone calls today. Maybe I’ll try now.
Thanks Isi, I’ll make sure to catch that :jesus:
Sammy’s gonna be signing books in DC next Tuesday, and then DL is gonna take ’em out and get him drunk. Maybe I can get him to plug the “Syndicate Maron” crusade.
:rant1:yeah what the fuck i want maron on my fucking xm already!
Sean go over here and see if they have a replacement screen for less than the price of a new computer

Atrios misunderstands ( nothing new since he is a centrist asshole).. We are the one who is going to have to surrender. I somewhat doubt that the US will do that.:40::40::spank::barf:
Hey Fred, looks like you’re all set.
That court decision has to drive the fundies and the thugs up a tree.. I am surprised Dobson doesn’t move out.. hope hope hope :40::omg::nixon:
Response from Doug Kreeger:
I am confused… all the left sided talkers have their heads up their a* today. They say one thing and then say exactly the opposite.. Seder just said they will not lay down their arms until we leave and then turns around and says we can’t give them amnesty until after they surrender.:?::?:. The two things are like not compatible in the same sentence. Someone please explain :?::?::?: 🙁 :yuck::barf::rant1:
Response from Jon Sinton:
Not sure why not offering it for syndication would cost less than trying to get somebody to pay to put it on, but then I what do I know about radio?
They could tell us that we should lay down our arms and that we would not be held responsible but the other way around is like the Germans telling the US that if they surrendered during the advance on Berlin that no one would be held accountable. We seem to have a problem telling the victor from the vanquished.:fustrate::fustrate:
Syndication usually makes more money in that it sells the program for the use by someone else. The more syndicated programs on more stations the better. Just paying Maron to put on his program is a cost.. remember these guys are corporatists too.:fustrate::fustrate::bow::omg:
You’d think so, wouldn’t you? I mean, maybe they have to buy satellite time to zip the show out, but still. You’d think every station that pays to play it – even if it isn’t a hell of a lot – would be a bonus.
Sam says Maron is up next
The stream crapped out in the middle of that comment about the email exchange with the blogger.. Was that you Sean ??
Hey, Maron’s on Sam’s show and Gypsy was mentioned as the posterchild of the blog
yay! checked the blog in time to hear maron – thanks isi/fred!
We have some internal issues that we’re dealing with.
jiminey christmas – we’ve been hearing THAT since MS was on air….
(i got maron’s book for about 7 bucks, including shipping.) 😎
I hear Maron! Call the show, sheeple. Uh, I don’t know the number though.
people STILL miss Morning Sedition :fist:
hey trav!
Hey, somebody call in and say hello for the seditionists.
866 303 2270
what’s the number? Is it the Steph 1 2 number?
YOU should call pj!
the timing was great with PJ’s blog today.
That was good… lots of support. I hope AAR’s high priced consultants were listening.
Nice to hear Marc “live.” Even if I have to sit through this godawful jazzac between segments.
I have the timing of the pressing of the mute button down to a fine art:fustrate::fustrate::?::?::rant1:
It’s so obvious how many fans Marc has. I can’t believe they don’t do everything they can to get him on the air everywhere. I hope everybody keeps the pressure up. Looking at the webstats, there are a ton of people that come here and don’t post. I hope y’all are sending e-mails and calling and writing.
vigilance!
hope you’re enjoying your box’o’wine, PJ.
PS mr fk made it back to the compound tonight after being out with the 101st for a few days. Got a little heat stroke today, though.
Do I hear Sam figuring it out ?? :omg::omg:..:crap:: He is still confused ..:yawn::40:
Happy about that, FK :peace:
(not happy about the heat stroke, though )
The box is getting a little light. Guess I’ll have to make an excursion this weekend. It’s a helluva lot cheaper than buying $6 drafts at a bar, that’s for sure.
Better tell Mr to sit on his hotel balcony and look for one of those 20 yr old wives.
PS mr fk made it back to the compound tonight after being out with the 101st for a few days. Got a little heat stroke today, though.
Happy about that, FK
Ditto from me
I didn’t get a response from anyone. Isn’t Sinton the one that always says we’ll be surprised and delighted at the developments? 😆 I think he said that about the new show and he was mostly right on.
 he can just stay inside, thank you very much.
you can catch Colbert’s Know a District in my district, Georgia’s 8th and see the idiot who is supposedly representing us. :barf:
===
thanks guys, have good evening. this kat hits the hay pretty early.
newnancrest => out.
Yeah, that was him. Of course, they dragged it all out until everyone was pissed and started pestering them to get their shit together, so I hope the same thing can happen now. Marc needs to be on XM or Sirius and on your station in Phoenix, at the very least. It would be great if he could be on in Syracuse, too, but that’s not likely. Hell, I’d be happy to get him on a station here in DC while I’m here – god knows I can’t get the AAR station here.
So glad to hear about Mr. FK. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate courageous people like him getting us information about things over there first hand. :fist:
Hey, there are females on this floor someplace – I can hear ’em. Maybe I should put on a clean t-shirt, and see if they wanna party. Too bad my wine box is so low.
So, Sheldon Drobny was on KPHX yesterday. He was on Dr. Mike’s show and they talked about the partnership they have going where they buy medium and small radio stations to be progressive radio stations. KPHX being the model. I would like to see Marc’s show at all of them.
I would, too. I just found it odd that Jon Sinton would refer to Marc’s show as “a huge waste of our money.”
You’re hallucinatin’ already! Next, you’ll be telling us you hear Marcs’ NSA guy on your phone. 😯
I mean, he could’ve said “it’s a lot of money, because it’s expensive to produce” (though from what Marc and Jim say, it sounds more like AAR is cheap), but to call it a “waste of our money” sure makes it sound like he doesn’t value it at all, and he was (I thought) one of the folks that was in Marc’s corner.
So AAR is only humoring Marcs’ 15 bloggers by giving him a show in LA. How nice of them to accomodate us at their cost. We must be awfully intimidating. 😕
They want the friggin show here in Phoenix! WTF!That can only be a good thing, you’d think.
You’d think, I mean, if they’re “wasting” all that money producing the show, getting it on even one other station seems like a win-win proposition. I suppose there are costs associated with syndication, but you wouldn’t think it’s be so much as to prohibit getting it out there.
Hey guys-
Angelina (the DOG!!) is OK and a little groggy here. She had a cyst thing on her ovary so they are sending that away.
I heard back from Kreeger and Stinton…very interesting.
I write a sorta long letter explaining everthing…as usual;-)
I dont know if its wirth posting the whole thing here because youve all heard it from me before.
I guess I corresponded with Jon quite a bit last time round….heh…
Kreeger’s letter is about the same but with less information.
Ill let you know if I hear more…I have to do some more letters….
Wish I oculd tell all thats gone down today but its stranger than fiction….and If I can make it thought the meeting with the headmaster at Will’s school tomorrow I will be OK
Right now I have to eat a little something and assemble the teacher gifts.
Well, the sooner they get it out there the sooner it’ll make money. Sheesh!
Good luck with everything, Melina. Though, I always wondered what one had to do to earn the title “headmaster.”
Gypsy is the poster child of the blog!:omg:
Did MM mention the renegade blog on the air?
Goddamn, there’s a big honking black hole in St. Louis.
No, no mention of the MS’ists site, I don’t think.
Why does this general wanna nuke a black hole? That’s dumber than invading Iraq ‘cuz you were attacked by a bunch of Saudis.
Sorry, I’m all alone and have resorted to watching crappy movies on SciFi.
PJ- Im watching Windfall which is pretty lousy…
What is going on on Rachel’s blog to make her get all overbearing?
What is happening on Marc’s blog?
…and why is there a black hole in St Louis?
I’ve been in the car all day and lostening to last night…so I have little idea of what is going on. except for Al’s view of the world but that is a pretty narrow view
Black Hole is this dumb movie on SciFi, but it’s got David Selby in it, and he was Quentin on Dark Shadows. On Rachel’s blog, they were getting down on some person who likes to copy and paste lots of text from “this day in history” kinda stuff. I dunno, it wasn’t all that nasty from what I could see, but I didn’t spend much time looking. Marc’s blog seems the same as usual. Gypsy posts over there – I guess she doesn’t love us anymore. 🙁
No, he did not mention the life boat blog known as Morning Seditionists. So, are we the albino, red headed step child of Marc Maron? I think this blog is better, IMHO. It has kept the spirit of the old MS blog. Marc’s blog is a little more like Majority Reports blog. A lot of comments on the show and some good ones but this blog has more substance. And of course, you can’t beat the emoticons.:nixon::jerk:
And now Ive made myself sick on those orange peanut circus candy things…ugh….
So here is the letter that I wrote and pretty much sent varieties of it around to the top level of what we’ve got. Its long…but that is just me….and I tend to get responses.
Kreeger says that changes are coming in 2 months…these guys both seem to think that he sort of stuff Im talking about are coming to pass…including raising the funny level.
I think we are the abortions that lived.
Hey, Malloy just read a letter from FK. Was that you Farmerkat?
Oh…The Black Hole? Is that with Joe Bottoms?
He was an old friend of mine from forever ago…I was on the set of that movie…really really bad movie….
Hey, Hackett seemed Ok…what I caught today anyway, which was like 10 minutes…is he really any good?
I was just so happy not to hear Jerry….
Maybe we are looking at the seedlings of a new lineup
I SO hope that they give marc a good deal and earlier slot and push Sam into Al’s slot!
Im not wild about Malloy or Hartman
Was Marc talking blogs and not mentioning us again?
whatever….
I beleive this is a 2006, SciFi original movie. Not horrible, I guess. Just lame.
I loved Dark Shadows…we used to go round with garlic necklaces…barnabas collins was my first real crush!
I always had the hots for Angelique. It may explain some of the witches I went out with later in life.
I have an autographed Barnabas (Jonathan Frid) photo. And I was gonna take Banabas as my confirmation name, except I kinda blew my confirmation off.
I have to say, Malloy has grown on me. I don’t listen to him religiously or anything but we need people with spine that yell and rant. There are things to rant about. If you aren’t ranting, you’re sleeping!:crap:
Yes, where is Gypsy anymore?I see her on the MM blog but not over here. It is a long bus ride out to her work from her home, so I can corroborate that. But still, me thinks she likes the attention she gets over there. 😉
Malloy is my #2, for AAR. Marc, #1, then Malloy, and then MR. After that, there’s not much I listen to.
Yeah, I gave Gypsy rights to post her recipes as threads, but she never posted any. Then I set up a page for her to post to, and she did that for a while, but nothing since the Marc blog went up.
I see how it is. She loves Marc more than us.
How are ya doin’ on that box o’ wine PJ. I got some 3 Buck Chuck I’m swillin’ :40: Hmm, maybe we need a wine emoticon.
Got about one more mug in me before I fall asleep.
Hey- I know that gypsy is having troubles with her computer and can barely hold a stream:rofl2:
Um I offered to help her last time I was in Portland- (the night of the coffee candy and too much bluefox information) but she was on a windows machine and I can only troubleshoot Apples.
I’m just eating winegums:barf:
Gotta go recycle!!!
ok sbluefox killed the blog again.
Back after chores..:knit::knit::knit:
Hmmm….I should give Malloy a chance then….
Marc mentions Gypsy all the time and she is workign on a cookbook for the blog with him and Jim involved, so she probably feels like she is more involved over there…
Its OK there but I like it better here.
Hey PJ, someone from the management of HuffPo was on my blog reading my Left Behind-Yearly Kos- and God post…Im afraid to re read it because I always think that stuff I wrote before is horrible…so Ill just have to wonder what that post was all about and if it made sense…
Im gonna have to post up some Dowd/Krugman/ the great article that Kat put up this AM…but not til tomorrow…I should goo upstairs. I want to watch steve colbert but I also want to watch crooks and liars clips on the computer….
Jon has on the Lucky Louie guy…I havent seen his show yet but hes pretty funny.
Speaking of gypsy, where’s Quietgirl? ❓
I think “our” blog is more interesting.
just listenin to wednesdays show….
Marc is so right on the mark about all the fema/katrina money being reported spent on expensive champagne and sex changes….I agree…who are we to judge what a person needs to get by after such a trauma….god i just luvya Marc!
:rofl2::rofl2:
Sounds like the same problem I have when I hear Marc do the Funny!
Hey, PJ drinks wine out of a mug too! :joe::40:
The thing that gets me about this fema/katrina money is the same “welfare queen” argument that always surfaces.
If you look at the big picture, its usually a tiny percentage That actually cheated the system…and often its out of desperation or stupidity…its not like people were told what to do or counselled at all. This was such a fuckin’ traumatic thing to watch that I cant ge tover it, much less the people who had to LIVE THROUGH IT!
How dare they waste time publicizing this crap and listing off the infractions when money has been poured on pallets into the pockets of Iraq contractors…? How dare they blame the victims? After watching dead bloated people float down the street I might need a bottle of Dom myself…and I dont even drink anymore!
These golf junket politicians are gonna complain about $2000 per person?
Urgh…..
OK time for bed….
Gypsy needs a new computer….
Night Melina!
Glad angelina is doing OK:billcat:
JIM BUZZKILL EARL…….PERFECTO
Sir Screams Alot and Jim Buzzkill Earl. I love it!:rofl2: I see a spoof of Monty Python’s Holy Grail. Are you allowed to spoof a spoof??
😉
I like it here but then again the other blog gives a bit more of the chat room vibe where you get a sense of real-time community.
