Whoopie, it’s the bobbleheads. Thanks to Wimbledon, you’ll have to get up a little early to watch Press the Meat. My advice? Sleep in. But if you’re some schmuck stuck in a dorm somewhere and can’t sleep, Guest host Andrea “I use preparation H instead of Oil of Olay” Mitchell hosts North Korea talk, as we struggle to understand why Iraq with no WMD’s (and no actual threat to the US of A) was an immediate danger, while the only person in the world that makes Michelle Malkin look only slightly fucking nuts gets to celebrate the fourth (or whatever) of July with actual missles. Guests include Nicholas Burns (who is apparently under the Secretary of State – better him than me, though I could use something to keep my beer cold), plus a few people from an administration that actually did something about North Korea, Bill Richardson, Ashton Carter (isn’t he married to Demi Moore?), and Robert Gallucci.
On Faze the Nation, guess what? It’s the same shit! Nicky Burns gets out from under secretary of state long enough to join bush buddy Bobby Scheiffer, this time to be joined by John “Maverick” McCain, and Senator from CT that’s not gonna run as an “individual democrat,” Chris Dodd.
Over on This Weak with George Snufalufagus – you guessed it – it’s North Korea! Must be North Korea Day (reminds me of an episode of M*A*S*H, where people kept coming to the 4077th with ID cards that said their names were Kim Luk, and Hawkeye said, “another Kim Luk? Well, this must be my Kim Luky day”). George has Dick Lugar (sounds like something really nasty you’d find in the drinking fountain, doesn’t it?), plus a story on racist asshole George Allen vs. James Webb, and at the roundtable, it’s editor of the New Republic Peter “Oops, maybe Iraq wasn’t such a great idea, afterall, biut I still love Joe Libermann” Beinart, Donna “nice job neutering Al Gore so we got dubya instead” Brazile, and George :jerk: Will. Plus, he’s big, he’s black, and he’s got a shiny new kidney – it’s Alonzo Mourning (sorry, but I have an automatic dislike for anyone who played hoops at Georgetown; not an actual dislike, of course, just a “sports” dislike, and his kidney was actually installed in December ’03, so it’s not all that new, though it would probably be shiny, unless you let it dry out). By the way, Alonzo? Just kidding, and I hope you can take a joke, but if not, my name is Geroge, and you can find me at 1600 PA Avenue. Just hop over the fence, and tell ’em you’re there to see me.
CNN’s Late Emission with Wolf Blitztheredonethat continues the North Korean theme with Nick “now that I’m finally out from under secretary of state, I’m gonna make the most of it” Burns Lindsey “la poof” Graham, Barbara “I heart Joey” Boxer, Iraq’s ambassador to the US, Samir Sumaidaie (obvioulsy a fake name), Al “I’m in charge” Haig, Zbigniew “talk about an assumed name” Brzezinski, and Peter Bergen, plus Fouad Makhzoumi, chairman of the Future Pipe (as in pipeline) Group and (surprise, surprise), board member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
On Fux News Sunday, weaselfacedoes the North Korea thin (are you getting as tired of this as I am?), with, you guessed it, Nick Burns, Pete “Crazy Fuck” Hoekstra, James “I eat puppies for breakfast” Woolsey, and Wendy “the bitch” Sherman.
Later, on 60 Minutes, it’s a slightly different twist on North Korea, as Scott Pelley interviews Charles Jenkins (former soldier who deserted to North Korea), then Steve Kroft investigates why $8.8 billion of reconstruction money in Iraq is unaccounted for (shocked – I’m shocked, I say!). Then Ed Bradley talks about Derek Jeter because baseball is such a compelling news story.

Nearly 300,000 pack Mexico City plaza to protest the election results
By DUDLEY ALTHAUS and MARION LLOYD
Copyright 2006 Houston Chronicle Foreign Service
MEXICO CITY – At the behest of leftist candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, nearly 300,000 people packed the Mexican capital’s sprawling central plaza Saturday, demanding a recount of the July 2 election that official results show he barely lost.
“We’re defending a just cause: the right of Mexicans to choose their leaders,” Lopez Obrador told the cheering, chanting throng. “Democracy is indispensable to achieve a Mexico of justice and dignity.”
“We’re going to defend democracy.”
Lopez Obrador called on supporters nationwide to begin marching on Mexico City on Wednesday and to gather for another mass rally in the central plaza, the Zocalo, in a week … http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4033936.html

We should get a CD of tonight’s show.

See what you have to do to ensure that elections are not stolen?
that would be cool, can we do that through the KBOO website? Are those generally available?
:omg:Iran’s president has called on Islamic countries to eliminate Israel.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke Saturday in Tehran at the opening of a regional conference of Islamic nations. He said the basic problem in the Islamic world is the existence of what he called the Zionist regime. He said the Islamic world must mobilize to remove the problem.
The two-day meeting is aimed at improving security in Iraq. Foreign ministers from many Arab countries are attending.

There is a house/senate/rethug committee meeting on C-span discussing Insurance for natural disasters. All the conversation revolves around getting the government to cover the losses so they won’t effect the Insurance companies profits.. The thugs don’t think its the governments role to spread the risk.. So the guy with a 150,000 dollar home gets to pay 12,000 a year in insurance premiums.. like where are they going to come up with that.. tear it all down and build 2 million dollar condos for the rich.

The leftist candidate has called for people to begin leaving work on Wednesday and travel to Mexico City for a mass demonstration (translated possibility of mass urban renewal) over the Weekend..

Lieberman challenger escapes injury in festival accident
Car drives into crowd of pedestrians at New London festival
Associated Press
Published July 8 2006
NEW LONDON, Conn. — Ned Lamont, the Democratic challenger for U.S. Senate and several of his campaign staff workers were in the same crowd that a station wagon plowed into Saturday afternoon during the city’s annual Sailfest.
Lamont was not injured, said a campaign spokeswoman, but three of the staffers were treated for various injuries. In all 27, people were injured in the incident.
Lamont, who is challenging three-term incumbent Sen. Joe Lieberman in the Aug. 8 primary, was campaigning at festival, said spokeswoman Liz Dupont-Diehl.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt,” Dupont-Diehl told The Associated Press.
The campaign workers injuries’ included a broken leg, a fractured nose and scrapes and bruises. Their names have not been released.

Commercial Media organizations are reporting that Felipe Calderòn won Sunday’s presidential election by 0.58 percent of the vote and will govern Mexico for the next six years, beginning on December 1.
It would not be the first time that the Commercial Media has been wrong.
Many of those reports have claimed that Wednesday’s first official count of precinct results in Mexico – 130,000 pieces of paper that claim to represent the vote tallies – was a “recount.”
It would not be the first time that lazy “pack journalism” got a major international story wrong.
The truth: No recount occurred on Wednesday, or before, or since. What occurred – we repeat – was only the first official count of precinct tallies.

Curious whether W and his bitches [looks like The Torture Guy was there, so i use the term advisedly] got a good reception from the remaining fans left to the Ex-expos. I’ve noticed over the years that sports fans at arenas, to generalize, tend to be right wing cretins, and predominantly male republicans. One small exception, when Cheney was at Yankee Stadium a few years ago, and they had to take his illustrated likeness off the outfield score board.
Or maybe the Yankee fans thought it was a picture of David Ortiz.
Nope, I thunk that up all by myself (got a thermoelectric refrigerator that doesn’t keep my beer – let alone my wine box – at the temperature I prefer). Got the beer in ice right now, but, well, it doesn’t last long enough.

David Brooks today in the NYT
Op-Ed Columnist
The Liberal Inquisition
By DAVID BROOKS
Published: July 9, 2006
Sometimes history comes with previews. In the 1930’s, the Spanish Civil War served as a precursor to the global conflict that was World War II. And in a smaller fashion, the primary battle playing out on the smiling lawns of upscale Connecticut serves as a preview for the national conflict that will dominate American politics for the next two years.
This isn’t a fight between left and right. It’s a fight about how politics should be conducted. On the one hand are the true believers — the fundamentalists of both parties who believe that politics should be about party discipline, passion, purity, orthodoxy and clear choices. On the other side are the quasi-independents — the heterodox politicians who distrust ideological purity, who rebel against movement groupthink, who believe in bipartisanship both as a matter of principle and as a practical necessity.
In 2008, heterodox politicians like John McCain, Rudy Giuliani and even Hillary Clinton are going to have to face zealous assaults from within their own parties. But for the moment that war has come to Joe Lieberman.
What’s happening to Lieberman can only be described as a liberal inquisition. Whether you agree with him or not, he is transparently the most kind-hearted and well-intentioned of men. But over the past few years he has been subjected to a vituperation campaign that only experts in moral manias and mob psychology are really fit to explain. I can’t reproduce the typical assaults that have been directed at him over the Internet, because they are so laced with profanity and ugliness, but they are ginned up by ideological masseurs who salve their followers’ psychic wounds by arousing their rage at objects of mutual hate. . .

Chicago, February 27, 2002: Today, the Board of Directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moves the minute hand of the “Doomsday Clock,” the symbol of nuclear danger, from nine to seven minutes to midnight, the same setting at which the clock debuted 55 years ago. Since the end of the Cold War in 1991, this is the third time the hand has moved forward.
Snip…..
Despite a campaign promise to rethink nuclear policy, the Bush administration has taken no steps to significantly alter nuclear targeting doctrine or reduce the day-to-day alert status of U.S. nuclear forces. If Russia is no longer an adversary, what is the rationale for retaining the ability to incinerate more than 2,000 Russian targets in as little as 30 minutes (or at all)?
Meanwhile, the U.S. national weapons laboratories, with the support of some in Congress, are hard at work refining existing warheads and designing entirely new weapons, with a special emphasis on those able to attack and destroy hardened and deeply buried targets. And to ensure that such new designs can be tested, the U.S. administration seeks to shorten the time required to resume testing to as little as twelve months–a move that can only encourage other countries, including India, Pakistan, and China, to consider resuming testing. Although the United States has not conducted a full-scale test since 1992–and the administration says it has no plans to resume testing at this time–it refuses to recognize the overwhelming international support for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) and refuses to participate in international meetings to discuss implementing the treaty. Should the required signatories, including India and Pakistan, fail to ratify the CTBT, thus jeopardizing its entry into force, the world will lose an essential tool in halting the further development and spread of nuclear weapons

EXCLUSIVE: Busby/Bilbray Registrar’s Office Quotes Three Different Prices for Cost of Hand Count to Voters, Media; No Explanation Given for Disparities!
Election Integrity Advocates told Hand Count Fees to be $6000/day, While Media told Fees Would be $2000-3000/day
ALSO: No Documents for Ballot Chain of Custody, Machine Audit Logs, 1% Random Audit, as Requested by Hand Count Filing, Have Been Produced by San Diego County Registrar’s Office Despite Demand for $6000 Payment Due Tuesday…
The San Diego County Registrar’s office seems to be playing games with the amount they are attempting to charge for the cost of a manual hand count request as filed for accountability in the June 6th Busby/Bilbray U.S. House special election.
As well, the office has so far refused to produce any of the documents requested by the voter who filed for the hand count as required by California state law.
As we reported originally, the SD County Assistant Registrar of Voters, Tim McNamara, had informed an Election Integrity advocate via email that the cost of such a count was estimated to be “in the range of $110,000 to $130,000 and would take approximately 24 to 30 working days.” The total estimated cost would be $6000 per day. (Complete email from McNamara included with full article.)
However, a story from Friday’s North County Times in San Diego on the manual hand count request (they, inaccurately, call it a “recount request”) quotes an estimate from the RoV’s office that is less than half that size:
Registrar of voters spokesman Mike Workman said that county counsel is now reviewing Jacobson’s request for a recount…a process which can cost the requesting party as much as $2,000 to $3,000 a day, Workman said.
Further, SD County Registrar Mikel Haas has FedExed a letter to the requester of the manual hand count, informing her that she must pay $6000 by 3pm this Tuesday, July 11th, to begin the count which he estimates in his letter will to be “between $120,000 and $150,000.” (Complete letter from Haas is also included with full article.)
His letter also failed to include responses to numerous documents requested, such as chain of custody logs for ballots and voting machines, any of the audit logs from the machines used on election day, or any of the information requested on precinct voter breakdowns as allowed to the requester by state law (CA Election Code 15630 and other related sections) before such a hand count can begin.
“I have received no responses to any of my requests for information,” Jacobson told us. “Not even any information on the required 1% manual audit that was supposed to have been done prior to the certification.” …

To be in the July 17, 2006 issue – It’s Friday night in Iowa and an old politician is trying some new tricks. John Edwards is back—back, with the familiar deep drawl, dark tan and honeyed hair. Gone, though, are the old catchphrases—”two Americas” and “hope is on the way.” In their place: a long meditation on America’s moral obligation to confront the plight of its poor. “Thirty-seven million of our people, worried about feeding and clothing their children,” he said to his audience. “Aren’t we better than that?” It’s not the stuff of great sound bites, but it’s part of Edwards’s new political plan: a presidential campaign with fighting poverty as a central plank. It’s a risky strategy in today’s Democratic Party—Edwards may be the most viable national candidate since Bobby Kennedy to tie his destiny to a fight for the destitute. “Yeah, I heard all that stuff: ‘Who cares?’ or ‘It’s a dead end’,” Edwards tells NEWSWEEK. “Well, it’s what I want to do.”

First, I saw a lady walking a pig on a leash, and then I got to use my brand new, $4.96 can opener to open a can of Safeway pork and beans (don’t worry, the “pork” was only theoretical), which I ate in a plastic bowl with a plastic spoon, with crumpled triscuits. Damn, it don’t get any better than this!
ARE YOU SJ?
It’s not easy for a goy to address SJ. For years, SJ had nothing but contempt for self-described ” Christian male rockstars.” Why should SJ, then, trust a Shabat goy?
But if we only look at events without a spiritual discernment, then there is no sufficient answer, or explanation that can be given, for the attitude of SJ. It just does not make any sense for SJ to read the book of Romans, although it sheds ample light on the subject of end times, and unlocks the mystery–especially chapters 9, 10 and 11. Revelations would be right on time, too.
If you are SJ, you have probably never read it. But come to think of it, being SJ, you probably have.
Shabat goys of all varieties have a debt of love and gratitude towards SJ. Those who don’t think so, are either not worthy or they have understood precious little about their paradisical needs. Suffice to say that Jesus, if he were walking the earth now, would fall head over heels for SJ. So would his disciples, the original Church members, the first missionaries and martyrs of the Faith and so forth.
While not forgetting that the Shabbat goys have been the entrusted custodians of SJ and her Goddess ancestors, it is the revealed Word, by way of the prophets, leaders, sorcerors, witches, Queens and kings, that declare SJ to be exalted. The lowly Shabat goy should thank his lucky stars for being put in the subordinate position.
If you are SJ, please check out this Messianic Shabat goy’s profile. You will find all that can help you understand his strange, eccentric behavior. You will also find a lot of answers to your question: “What the fuck are you talking about?”
SJ, you have a unique heritage and destiny, different from any other. :jesus::sdavid::pent::omg::menorah:
Greetings All,
But…I am not really here. Wurkin’ and trying to watch, while passin’ by, SG1. But, that pig was too cute so it just couldn’t be W-Dick Ugs(Ugly).
Ahhh, Bones of a raptor…:knit: :pirate flag: :rofl2:
ARREST! IMPEACH! VIGILANCE!
:omg:
oh my….
again, I repeat :omg:
but then again i won’t say no to offerings. Just place them on my altar.
Ahhhhh, the days of rooming at a Dorm. Memorable :rofl2: 😮 :rofl2:
See what I had to use to scuplt my message?:omg:
Susan Joy re #141 :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
I like the first version better :pent:
Are you bringing up wedge issue?
well it takes a special kind of genius to see the hidden reality in mundane messages and reveal “the true” words, but that’s what you did…
:bow::pent:
I bring a lot of things up…that’s what goddesses do 😉
I was mining the internet slough for material for #16. Apocalypse stuff, you know.
is that your theme for #16, Apocalypse? I’ll have to do some creative stuff this week.
No. Summer Time Blues. But end of times materials are always suitable…:jesus:
Friends’s response to video. Comic. Asbury Park. 1980s.. Summertime 1980s style.
ok. Pretty much what I had in mind anyway
Wedge me.:omg:
a little more on what you mean by “summertime 80’s style”.????
here? Oh really? :spank:
I can talk about how kids dressed/acted in the 80’s? Is that what you mean?
What a wedge issue that is. We can discuss new material in a more private venue. Mustn’t give away trade secrets, you know.
Heavy metal to melodic rock. Hey. Don’t give it much thought. “Go with what you know.”:jesus:
I will drive your wild wedge.
:rofl2:
thanks for the chuckles, pj! Now, can’t you get more creative than pork & beans? That sounds ghastly. What about Dinty Moore?
PS And don’t you use sporks?
ok
:pent::sdavid:
I was really into the New Wave thing then, that’s what I know the best. But I also know 80’s mainstream pop. I don’t/didn’t know much about metal, but I can research it
Visual art stuff. Incidental text. YOU KNOW ASBURY, DON’T YOU. SPRINGSTEEN? UNDERGROUND GARAGE? (I did not mean to shout.)
oh yeah, of course
We need not let facts get in the way of art.
alright, just leave it to me, I know what to do
Fred, regarding you and PJ — it was soooo charming, your repartee. Swine and bones and fossil analogies … :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: with PIXS
ARREST! IMPEACH! VIGILANCE!
No sporks. I wouldn’t even use a plastic spoon, if John Kerry hadn’t stolen my good spoon. Bought the pork and beans a long time ago, and decided to get rid of it. mmmm. i have some chef boyardee i may get to another day. i’d like to leave the can on a lamp to heat it up, but, being a bleeding heart liberal wimp, all i have are compact fluorescent bulbs, and the damn things don’t get hot enough.
I’ll write something very special 🙂
Good. I’d like to read something very special.
PJ: needs a couple of cans of sterno.. If things get really boring I have been told you can also :40: it.:yuck:
Hello fellow seditionistas,
I have a request of all you. A very close friend of mine has recently been housing three teenage women from California. They had appeared at her church here in Media, Pa. apparantly with no place to stay. They had driven 3000 miles to sell what are supposed to be educational materials for children for an outfit called the Southwestern Company. The “company” sent them here with no place to stay and no per diem money. There schedule is something like this: out the door at 6:00 AM back at around 11:00 PM. They cannot return until their field supervisor says they they can. This is six days a week with meetings on Sunday till 6:00 PM.
Now theres alot more to this, but the long and short of it is, this smells like the unification church, and what I’m asking from as many of you that can is to start looking around the web, or friends or anywhere else you can think of to help me find out what’s going on. These kids are just 18 with no money, the only reason they have a place to stay is that my friend has put them up for a while.
Thank you all in advance,
Andy
what about camping equipment, got any that you can haul up to that DEEE-lux room of yours? (I agree, Druid, this takes me back, too!) think i’d stick with cheese & crackers & m&m’s before I’d touch pork & beans….EGHADS – it’s a communal bathroom there, isn’t it? :yuck:
I hope Susan and Nicki are leaving their doors open.. That used to be required behaviors in our coed dorms… :tinfoil:Can I assume it applies to coed blogs too.:?::?::?: Humm maybe they should leave their windows open instead.
YES! No secrets here!
That sounds creepy, Andy….
Open doors, no way. We can charge admission if you really want to see us in action, though.
It’s defintitley creepy FK and I really need help.
That is modern slavery. Green Peace quits at 9pm nightly. No. This is an illegal scheme of some sort.
Problem is, they won’t let me have open flames, a microwave, or do any form of cooking. no lounge with a kitchenette. i can (and do ) have a coffee maker, but that’s it. the pork and beans was basically a can of beans that waved some bacon at, i think – no actual pork discovered. not even sure why i bought it, except it said “fully cooked” on it, and that’s my only criterion. but, it’s gone now. i can go back to my canned chicken, or canned tuna, or canned raviolio’s. what i really, really want is a salad. had one yesterday, and it was very nice.
actually, no. i don’t want to see you in action.
here’s a google search on them andy. they appear to be barely legal, but not exactly something you’d want your kids involved with.
SOUP – heat water in the coffee maker, and you can add it to soups & other items!
NR – can we pay in pork & beans?
Andy:
this is pretty interesting. also found they’re a multilevel selling company. google the company’s name and fraud…
i thought about that, but coffee flavored soup in july in dc just doesn’t do it for me. Every couple of days I go over to Giant and get some of their cooked food. It’s a bit greasy, but not too bad. And their salad bar is pretty good.
you can use an empty filter to help filter the water…
Later!
Farmerkat re 162 :rofl2: …but sporks are better than JUST spoons …:rofl2: (that was a joke, but I think it is another example of my LEAD Balloon humour.
pjsauter re #171 :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: (ref #142)
ahhhh ways of cooking in a summer dorm… :rofl2:
The coffee makers don’t run the coffee through the water tank. The coffee is just in the removable container you put the grounds in. I use my coffee maker all the time to make hot water.
There was actually a Spam like product called
SPORK-“may contain pork”
Thanks PJ. Thanks Farmerkat
Fred :rofl2: re #177 I wanted to say “rock on”, but didn’t want to interrupt:rofl2: 😉
NickiRose and Susan Joy 😉
Howdy, I’m house sitting in a house with a Super Chair!v:nod:
Super Chair. Cool.
PJ- I got this little water heater thing that is a metal element on a plug. I used it for tea the first year in the dorm for the Origami (this year I got a suite with a kitchenette)…but you cold put one of those heaters into a can of just abotu anything….seems like you could also buy the perdue done it 4 oz chicken pack and a salad and put the chicken on the salad. The chicken has to be refrigerated, and if your a/c isnt cold enough to set cold stuff on it for a while, you have to eat it all in one sitting…thats why I suggest the small size.
I hate perdue (though if the choice is PORK and beans from a can…chicken from frank Perdue is preferable) but desperate times call for desperate measures.
Eh, I want salad. And my dog (not for dinner, of course – just to keep me company; he’d have had fun sniffing that pig today, though I don’t know if the pig – or his mommy – would have been too crazy about it).
Can you bring the dog down for a while? Do they allow pets?
Hey, why not volunteer at the pound to walk some lonely dogs next weekend!
I go crazy away from my animals.
Whats a super chair?
So, all the crazy italians are driving round Stamford with big Italian flags flying from their cars …anf they are on the street corners waving flags….The city must be crazy. This is a very italian town still.
I was lamenting with Hugo, the French bird guy at the bird store….
pjsauter, That’s why rats, especially females-smaller and like “hanging a wee bit better around neck and hair, are good “traveling about friends:!: :rofl2::love:
Kristapea, Ooooooo Super chair and V 😉
Super chair is the massage chair Deluxe!
There is a Russian restaurant up the street that I’m trying. YUM! The potato salad is really good and so is the chicken kabob and samsa. I’ve never had Russian food before.
Too bad there isn’t a Whole Foods around you Pj. Even though they aren’t the best as far as truly organically raised, they usually have a great buffet food bar with everything from pizza to hummus and tabouli. It’s by the pound and they have loeftovers vacuum sealed.
Later everybody, thanks for the help.
Holy crap!! I’m on the list!
Man! This woman I’m house sitting for has ice cream and chocolate all over the place! And plenty of beer and wine and liquor! Woo HOO!:alc: I wish I could invite you all over for a party!
andy YEA  …and thank you for helping:wink:
Kristapea “spiritual” :alc: Cheers
UPDATE:
John Gorenfeld who has been following Moon for some time and exposed that whole mess at the Dirksen senate building with congressman and senators proclaiming Moon to be the messiah, sent me an email. (Did I mention I emailed him earlier)
Hey Andrew,
I checked with a private investigator who knows everything about the
Moonies, and he hasn’t heard of this. But it’s interesting, I’ll see if I
can come up with anything on them. Sounds very sketchy.
John
night all…..time to sleep…
Melina, Night & … SCORE!!!!!!! 😉
Night all.
I’m still wurkin:billcat: and periodic lurkin’:hubba: AND THE ONLY ONE :omg:. :):(

***subliminal messages online :rofl2: (I have been told a few years ago that it is so possible:hubba:)
(although all true it is a “joke” = lead balloon humour:rofl2:)
