Exciting day here for me, as I’ll be going in to get the oil changed on my car. There was a time when I’d have scoffed at anybody actually paying somebody else to change their oil, but, well, it just doesn’t pay to do it yourself anymore. That, and I’m old and lazy now (and then you have to get rid of the damn used oil, and I just wouldn’t feel right dumping it over the back fence, bleeding heart liberal tree hugger that I am). Last weekend before school starts up again. That sucks.

Russia spins global energy spider’s web
By W Joseph Stroupe
The vast bulk of the world’s oil, gas and strategic minerals resources either is coming under or is already under the control of authoritarian, or less-than-democratic, or leftist, or otherwise radical regimes either with a decidedly anti-Western political stance and ideology or pointedly decreased sensitivities to strategic US interests.
It is difficult to name more than a handful of resource-rich states that are liberal democracies and that are still significantly aligned with the West. Only Canada and Mexico come immediately to mind, and even Canada is increasingly embracing China and the East in the sphere of strategic energy deals and agreements.
Even those resource-rich regimes that are considered to be the most moderate of the globe’s producing states are far less closely aligned geopolitically with the US than they were previously.
Saudi Arabia, for example, continues its “Look East” policy of diversifying its markets away from the US. It has concluded a range of important deals in the energy sector with China and India and is steadily moving into closer geopolitical alignment with the rising East.
A number of other key Middle Eastern regimes are following suit. By and large Latin America is doing the same, as are Africa and Central Asia. Almost none of the world’s oil and gas producers wants to be inordinately dependent on the US market any longer. Additionally, the steady rise of the powerful economies of Asia beckons oil and gas producers toward such lucrative markets that are politically cost-free, meaning they do not attach political demands and seek to interfere in the domestic affairs of the producing regimes, as does the US.
That is occurring in Russia, which has now surpassed Saudi Arabia as the world’s largest exporter of oil, in Central Asia, the Middle East and in Latin America. Within virtually all such regimes the lines of separation between the top levels of political leadership and the directorship of key corporations and industries are not only blurred but are being obliterated. The multinational oil companies of the West are being marginalized as a direct result.

The Democratic primary victory of Alabama lesbian Patricia Todd for a seat in the statehouse was overturned by a party committee tonight. The committee vote was 5-0. Had the committee not reversed the election, which Todd won by 59 votes, she would have become the first openly gay elected official in the state’s history. No Republican has entered the race in the overwhelmingly Democratic district. Todd’s race was to determine who would represent District 54 in Birmingham in the statehouse.

Russia says no need to discuss Iran sanctions
MOSCOW (Reuters) – International concerns over Iran’s nuclear programme do not warrant any discussion at the moment of sanctions against Tehran, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said on Friday.
“I know of no instances in world practice and previous experience in which sanctions have achieved their aim and proved effective,” Ivanov, shown on NTV television, told reporters in Russia’s far east.
“Moreover, I believe that the question is not so serious at the moment for the U.N. Security Council or the group of six to consider any introduction of sanctions. Russia stands for further political and diplomatic efforts to settle the issue.”
Iran offered on Tuesday to start serious talks over its nuclear programme but there was no sign it had agreed to a U.N. Security Council demand that it freeze uranium enrichment by August 31 or face the prospect of sanctions.

LONDON – An Aer Lingus flight from New York with 239 passengers aboard was evacuated in Ireland Friday following a threat against the aircraft, airport authorities said.
Aer Lingus Flight 112 was evacuated during a scheduled stop at 2:50 a.m. EDT at Shannon airport in western Ireland, said airport spokesman Eugene Pratt. The plane was en route to Dublin.
The threat “came to a police station in Dublin, and referred to some explosives aboard that specific flight,” Pratt said. No trace of explosives was found in the initial search.
It would seem that picking your nose on a plane is cause for alarm these days.. Thugbots are paranoid by their nature and I would think they are the only ones still able to afford to take a vacation in Europe.:rant1:

GOP candidate says 9/11 attacks were a hoax
By Albert McKeon
Telegraph Staff
A Republican candidate for this area’s congressional seat said Wednesday that the U.S. government was complicit in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
In an editorial board interview with The Telegraph on Wednesday, the candidate, Mary Maxwell, said the U.S. government had a role in killing nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center and Pentagon, so it could make Americans hate Arabs and allow the military to bomb Muslim nations such as Iraq.Maxwell, 59, seeks the 2nd District congressional seat. The Concord resident opposes the incumbent, Charles Bass of Peterborough, and Berlin Mayor Bob Danderson in the Republican primary Sept. 12.

And the chair of the committee set up to oversee agreement on a definition implied that the vote had effectively been “hijacked”

Hey there KK! Yep, I’m channelling our favorite neo-con! Do you have plans for the night? 😎
good morning sheeple!
I expect that marc is in this part of the world….I so wish that we wold hear that he is going to get a regular radio show again….or at least do a monthly podcast or something…..Perhaps Nick can tell him how to do it from his own bathroom!
I was up most of the early, early morning with a migrane from hell…why? I dont know….I was cleaning some moldy stuff as usual, and maybe didnt have enough caffeine yesterday…but this was worse than that.
So, Im recovering slowly.
PJ- Grandpa spent years up here “disposing” of every hazardous thing and old rusty can and whatever, deep in the woods (on the adjoining state land of course) ….and now, Im compelled to send the mexican guys who are helping me get it all in order here out to find all this stuff. When the leaves fall off the trees you can still see his old coolant containers off in the woods……very funny!
I also seem to have a BBQ charcoal disposal in the dog run, and also a lineolium floor in pieces that I cant fully get out of the ground. The charcoal is not burned at all…but I guess thats not hazardous…and I did get a portion of the floor and some old quilt ou of the ground…whatever….I guess that Grtandpa and his line of tenants over the years just thought it fine to dump stuff out back…
So yes, let the oil guys do the disposal!….For all I know I have the remains of some old oil seeping its way into my well right now!
Have fun with the oil…and the Siggy bath!!…anal glands…ewwwww….I do little ones all the time here but cant imagine what big ones are like. I didnt think that those big dogs needed that, actually. You could use that as a weapon!
feel better Melina! :gate:
I was up from 3 – 4:30 but fortunately not with a migraine…
:yuck:
Hey Kat…How is Mr doing over in the sandbox? Since they caught Jonbennet’s killer we dont get much on Iraq. Iran or Israel…you’s think that its peacetime…I did hear that a Natalie Holloway book is coming out though…sheesh!
Why wont MSNBC give us the news? (I dont bother with the rest so…I suppose they are the same…?)
Even old Imus was going on abot how crazy the coverage of this old crap is….and Nancy Grace was saying that this guy likely isnt even the killer….
We just like a good wacko to wonder about from time to time.
Why not focus on Bush on the Couch for a wacko…?
Did anyone notice that just as this crazy guy stuff started to happen that all the newscasters including our AAR people, were starting with this Is Bush an Idiot, and Im Worried that Bush is ReallyCrazy?
Then somehow we get this strange guy out of the blue to fill in for the crazy one…..hmmmmm….
Neocon operative or Jonbennet fetishist?
Yeah, I seldom get them…very strange…and I had to take childrens motrin, which upset my stomach….so then I had to find some stomach stuff…and nothing worked….
I had this strange iced tea thing from the healthfood store yesterday that was made out of that kambuncha mushroom stuff and ginger and probiotics or some such…so when I opened it it was fizzy and the label said that it might ferment a bit. I drank half of it and I started to feel like I was drinking wine or something….so I poured the rest down the drain…but I felt tipsy. I though that maybe that gave me the headache ans a hardly drink anymore….but then, I did recently have some vodka and was pretty ok with that.
FK, yes (plans tonight) friends are meeting at The Shannon. I’m late, and that’s nothing new. Bye!
Will wants to go to Ireland and Scotland….maybe its a good time to travel because they are being so ultra careful…though its uncomfortable because you cant even bring your vaseline….
Sorry King Kong!
Have fun at the Shannon with Shannon?:alc:
Melina
I hope you feel better. It could be that tea- I bought some and couldn’t drink it but more likely combo of the mold and lack ‘o caffeine.
I’ll bet there is mold in that crazy mushroom drink..
Hey- Suz and anyone else in the tri state area, look at the news because tornados and bad storms are moving though yonkers ,westchester and/or somesuch…its raining like hell today …sorta missed the city, but we’re getting it bad.
there’s a heavy thunderstorm passing over me right now. I have to be at work at 12:30 but I only need fifteen or so minutes to drive there, I hope this passes over! I’m going to check out the weather radar now
sblue-I looked into that mushroom thing years ago when you cold order a piece and grow it in your own yucky bowl…..but it seemed too strange and icky, and then there were reports of some people getting sick.
Of course I forgot what the hell this stuff was, because the name of it sounded familiar but I would try anything…..I love this aloe drink in the green bottle that has aloe gel floating in it….but thats pretty benign and more like a soda sort of thing but without bubbles…
Its the fermentation in the mushroom thing that gets me.
But this guy has bottled it in a pretty fancy way and on the label it has this story of this stuff curing his mom of cancer…
so whatever….it seemed interesting
be careful because there is some tornado activity…but I think it may be east of you.
Members of Utah’s Jewish community are alarmed by a proposed demonstration that will call for “Death to Israel.”
A man – whose name wasn’t available Thursday – has applied for a free-speech permit from Salt Lake City to demonstrate on sidewalks near City Hall on Wednesday. The city is reviewing the application.
City officials cannot constitutionally deny it based on the content of the message.
Laura Green, director of the United Jewish Federation of Utah, said Thursday that she has received dozens of calls about the planned demonstration. Many fear the rally could incite violence against Jews.
“Based on freedom of speech, people have the right to say what they want to say. There has to be a line between saying what you want to say and preaching the genocide of a population,” Green said.
She hopes the city denies the permit, saying the police will be busy enough with the other five demonstrations planned for Wednesday to coincide with President Bush’s visit to Utah.
The president will speak to the American Legion’s 88th national convention at the Salt Palace on Thursday. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are scheduled to speak on Tuesday.
“Our police force is going to be taxed to its limits,” Green said.
But the police department has given its OK to the protest. Spokesman Joe Cyr said the group sponsoring the rally – listed as Center to Prevent Corporate Media Lying -has held demonstrations before. On average, about nine people show, he said. The permit application anticipates between nine and about 130 demonstrators.
“It’s not like they’re threatening to kill people,” Cyr said. “They’re just [expressing] their opinion.”
Shawn McDonough, the city’s special-events-coordinator, couldn’t confirm the group had demonstrated before. She expects to decide today whether to grant the permit.

Mexico City.
The revolt against the July 2nd electoral fraud in favor of Felipe Calderon, the right wing candidate, is expanding. After three weeks, the occupation of Mexico City’s historic center shows no sign of fatigue, to the contrary, the movement is growing like an unstoppable avalanche. In the past few days, actions of peaceful civil resistance have multiplied in the Northern part of Mexico, traditionally a stronghold of the right. On the 11th of August, in Ciudad Juarez, farmers on horses took over the bridge that connects Mexico with the US, blocking for several hours hundreds of trucks crossing the border from both sides.
The list of upcoming mobilizations is impressive: a huge demonstration against the inaugural declaration of the president-elect; on September 1st, date of the presentation of the last report to the nation from president Fox, a protest at the site of Parliament; on the 15th, Mexican Independence day, an attempt to prevent him from pronouncing the traditional “shout”; and, on the 16th, a National Democratic Convention bringing together representatives of grassroots organizations from the all over the country.

Elliot Abrams in Jerusalem
By TOM BARRY
In the wake of the most recent Israel-Hezbollah conflict, Israel is abuzz with criticism of the government and the Israeli Defense Forces for having led the nation to war without achieving any of its objectives. Many Israelis, including IDF officers, are also charging that the Bush administration and U.S. neoconservatives have been encouraging Israel to act as the U.S. government’s stalking horse in its grand strategy to create a “new Middle East” by striking out first against Hezbollah-and then Syria and Iran.
In marked contrast, there is little public debate in the United States about the Bush administration’s role in supporting Israel’s failed and criminal war in Lebanon. As recent press reports reveal, President Bush and his foreign policy team had given Israel a green light to take out Hezbollah at least two months before Hezbollah guerrillas kidnapped two Israeli soldiers.
As was the case in U.S. policy toward Iraq, the neoconservative camp-led by such institutes as the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Center for Security Policy, and the now defunct Project for the New American Century and by such neocon pundits and strategists as Max Boot, Charles Krauthammer, Michael Ledeen, and Elliott Abrams-has long promoted that the United States and Israel implement regime change and preemptive strategies against Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran.
Also like the Iraq War, the neoconservatives inside and outside the Bush administration have seen their own causes embraced, to various degrees, by Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and the president himself.

SWEET NEOCONS
Neoconservatism is a political current and ideology, mainly in the United States, which emerged in the 1960s, coalesced in the 1970s, and has had a significant presence in the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. It is today most closely identified with a set of foreign policy positions and goals: a hawkish stance during the Cold War and, more recently, in various conflicts in the Middle East. At times there have been distinct neoconservative positions in domestic policies; in particular, the first generation of neoconservatives were generally less opposed to “big government” and to social spending than other U.S. conservatives of the time, though they also called for significant restructuring of the goals and methods of many social programs.
The prefix neo- refers to two ways in which neoconservatism was new: many of the movement’s founders, originally liberals, Democrats or from socialist backgrounds, were new to conservatism; neoconservatism was also a comparatively recent strain of conservative thought, which derived from a variety of intellectual roots in the decades following World War II. While some (such as Irving Kristol) have described themselves as “neoconservatives”, the term is used today more by opponents and critics of this political current than by its adherents, some of whom reject even the claim that neoconservatism is an identifiable current of American political thought.

Senator Tancredo
ls running for president to push illegal immigration issue
Ron Brynaert
Published: Friday August 25, 2006
On Friday’s edition of FOX’s Your World with Neil Cavuto, Colorado’s Republican Senator Tom Tancredo said that if “no one else” in the party will push the illegal immigration issue then he would enter the 2008 Presidential race.
“If it is — if the situation develops that no one else will take this issue on not just with their rhetoric, but with their heart — because people will see through that, I think — if they will really do this, then I’ll be knocking on doors for them,” said Senator Tancredo.
“If no one does, I will do it and I will push it as hard as I can because I believe with all my heart, Neil, that this — we’re talking about the country here, the salvation of the nation,” said Tancredo. “I believe it is that much of a problem.”

PJ are you and RG getting excited for the big show?
I know I am. I think Marc ought to be headlining, of course, but I can’t wait to see him. It’s so nice of Melina to let us come. We don’t get a chance to do a whole lot, so this is a big treat for us.
Then you should come to Giggles in September:banana:
Oh, I’d love to. Not just to see Marc, but to get to the Pacific NW. And my wife’s daughter is up in Juneau, so it’d be nice to get up there to see her and her husband. But work, school, and doggie make it tough.
Well you are always welcome…
I am off to find a meal in this crazy hotel..
well, i’ve been working on that darn deck all day. I think I’m all finished now, too. so, it’s time to hit the moon :40:i’ll see ya’ peeps there,

If we get a chance to talk to Marc this weekend, we’ll definitely ask how Jim’s doing, and what he’s up to.
Have fun Pj, RG, Melina and anyone else going to see Marc! :fist:
don’t forget to take photos and to tell Marc to get his arse to Hotlana so Cnick, Becky, Kev (?!) and I & anyone else in the area can see him! MMMMMWHAAAHHHH for Marc, please!
Hey PJ- I wanted Sammy in the tab!!…Lets keep him ther ,OK?
I got back late form my appt because I went to the big mall in westchester. I was in the Sony store and it was so fantastic with these little travel laptops and an even littler palmtop….
Boy, I wish I had disposable income!…though I did get stuff at Sharper image and a pretty fancy backpack fro Will at Victorianox that has a laptop case inside…
I got a call from Gotham to confirm our reservation and we should try to get there at around 7…the show opens at 7:30 but we can have drinks in the lounge (no mushroom juice for me, thanks!) and then we’ll be sure to get a good table.
Our entire party has to be present to be seated so if anyone else (pmurray is sick so wont be coming:() wants to jump aboard, be there and find us before seating time!…
The club offers the menu from the BBQ place upstairs, so Im happy….
If I can just get through tonight without a migrane and sleep nice and late Ill be happy….
Is anyone else coming???
Suz?? CitizenKahn, if youre lurking (and I did email her…)

Im off to watch V for Vendetta…I guess….I am also trying to write a blog post and hate to do both at once….we’ll see….
thanks heron for jim’s my space page.
Kat- when do they do the news show emmys? I was just reading abotu the other ones and how they are not properly balanced in that Greys anatomy might win over west wing…huh?…
I just wish Dennis Leary would win, but if its under drama then Kiefer will win…and if its under comedy, then probably a real comedy person will win. I dont think they have a Dramedy section.
Yeah, Victorinox is good stuff. I got all my luggage from them..
Leary should definitely win and I don’t care what category. I love that show. I recorded the spike-lee documentaries, melina, but haven’t seen them yet.’
September 25: News & Documentary Emmy Awards Ceremony
which is also :cake: i’ll ask mr fk about it. he for sure won’t be here, though.
sleep well :sheep:ple!
Wow…all the way in Sept?? Interesting….they spread it out so far considering the amount of bump the winning networks get….usually they would do those awards off camera and announce them during the breaks….
Well…night night…I hope we start to get some real news again soon…
This jonbennet things is getting really tiresome. Then we get into the 1 year anniversary of Katrina…and what of Iraq and Israel and Lebanon?…and Bush losing his marbles?
PJ phone me from the road when youre close so Ill know youre coming…
Really looking forward to seeing you all and seeing Marc!!
Im gonna go up and listen to Nick’s podcast and try to watch V for Vendetta or something….

I’m just too lazy to catch the bus, and to pay 2.25 a glass for Blue Ribbon, And I think I’m going to Ellensburg tomorrow sometime early. Is there anything that I should see when I’m there that you know of?
Bill McKibben thinks it is time to take global warming activism to the streets.
He will be joining a group of Vermonters in a Labor Day protest march across the
state. He says, “We hope our example will spread elsewhere, as more of the
quietly freaked-out turn into the noisily committed.”
ill come back at eleven. Later

Hey, so what is everyone doing this election cycle to get the rethugs out of office? Put a sign in your yard? Volunteered for a candidate? Let’s live up to our Morning Seditionism and ACTIVATE! And let’s talk about what we’re doing in our part of the country. It would be good for everyone to start to become familiar with all the new Senators and congress people there will be.
I have joined a Moveon team called the Red Handed Team and our focus is trying to get media attention on Rep JD Hayworth’s attrocious voting record. Mayor Harry Mitchell is running against him. But our only focus is to showcase Hayworth’s negatives. We have a good chance of getting some media attention tomorrow at an event and I will be there. I will let you know how it goes.:fist:

the church folded around 98 I believe. Too much work for two or three people and too many people losing interest (sound familiar?)
Jews for Jesus executive director, David Brickner, responded, “Jackie may be as Jewish as a matzoh ball, but Jesus is as Jewish as chicken soup. It is our hope that this issue will not have to go through the courts, [the case has been removed from the Supreme Court of the State of New York to Federal Court] but this is a matter of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. We are not claiming Jackie Mason to be a Jew for Jesus. Of course, if he’s interested, we’re sure Jesus would welcome him as a follower.”
Jews for Jesus has hand distributed more than sixty million religious pamphlets on the streets of major cities around the world. Many of the titles deal with contemporary pop culture and personalities. They are distributed for free and invite a response from those who are interested to know more.

Where did Malloy get that Who recording. I heard a much different version of “Put the Money Down” on the Odds and Sods album.
ah, they were discussing that on Jew Crew. Very upset the JCrewers were
No. I mean Kearney.
:rabbi::pent:
n our case, Dee said that the Montclair gig would be the final New Jersey appearance for Twisted Sister. He made that announcement during the show itself!
I have Odds and Sods on vinyl in my storage closet I believe. NO turntable, however.
Montclair is a cool town…
Portland has a Jews for Jehoshua chapter.
Malloy played a more mellow version of “Put the Money Down” on his show.
I have nothing agianst the Jews for Jesus…but they infuriate mainstream Jews for the most part. Not sure why…they have a right to believe however they choose
I’ll send them some tapes.
hehe. perfect
oh now I have an extra tape Judy sent me back, I’ll have to send it somewhere…

Thanks roxie…Iwould be there but I am in Portland.
It’s great to hear from you. I introduced Travis to Paul D.
Odds & Sods was an album caused by bootlegs. By 1974, The Who were already heavily bootlegged with many of their live performances released. But in 1972 and 1973, some bootlegs, with titles like Radio London, Jaguar and The Who vs. The Amazing Mr. Pig came out with previously unheard studio tracks. Probably at the request of The Who’s U.S. label, MCA, The Who were asked to make a collection of some of these tracks for a legitimate release. In the fall of 1973, while Pete, Roger and Keith were gearing up for the Tommy movie, John was put in charge of compiling The Who’s odds & sods. He and his solo producer John Alcock set to work, bringing The Who’s tapes back to John’s house and pouring over them.
John Entwistle: “We thought we’d just have a go at some of these bootlegs. They release really bad bootlegs of these songs all the time. I’ve heard three of them which were made in the States and they’re really bad quality. They obviously will last only about three plays before the acetate disintegrates. We thought it was about time we released a bootleg of our own. I tried to arrange it like a parallel sort of Who career — what singles we might have released and what album tracks we might have released.”
As of late 1973, John Swenson reported that the track selection would be “Little Billy,” “Postcard,” “Join Together,” “Don’t Know Myself,” “Pure and Easy,” “Long Live Rock,” “Naked Eye,” “Now I’m a Farmer,” and “Put The Money Down.” Speaking later to Roy Carr, John said, “There’s still sufficient material in the vaults to make a second album. There’s an unedited version of ‘Join Together’ three minutes longer than the single. We’ve got The High Numbers ‘Zoot Suit’, ‘Early Morning Cold Taxi’, two instrumentals, a couple of outtakes from Quadrophenia and some things that aren’t finished that only have a guide vocal.” The second LP never came out and since many of those tracks were already being bootlegged, the bootlegging continued.

:yinyang::banana:Omega King Kong Alpha:banana::yinyang:
Rox, in Taiwan, birth time and place are serious talk. If the ‘wrong’ people know that information about you, your fate can be manipulated.

That is the reason I try to be gentle about asking anyone here and let them know I will them know much even with just day. I take it very seriously also the “Animal” King Kong. I was born in year of The Snake :rofl2:
A nice bold one you are. Roxie :rofl2: and I thought I burned :rofl2:hot:rofl2:
Yeah, Driud, I’ve gotten to hold it closer that I used to. Do you know ifyou are a wood, fire, water, earth, or metal snake?
voodoo astrology
heard that back in the day. didn’t buy it then either.
the only way someone could have power over you by knowing your birth data, would be by understanding you better than yourself.
you’e only as sick as your secrets as they say.
of course, I do chew my fingernails a lot. probably keeps anyone from making any voodoo dolls of me…
what a great excuse i’ve just found for myself. thanks.
Rox, I don’tknow how to use the info. My b’day is at the very end of December, the 29th, just in time for lunch.
RoxieSeattle, I saw a “living Snake” in the night sky one up there. I am a Libra, but what I call a Spiritual (and artistic) Libra.(since there are different kinds) Born at 12:44am on the 14th but you know one takes away an hour for DST and that equals 13th of October at 11:44pm. You are the chosen few which I tell GETS TWO Birthday celebrations:banana::rofl2::banana:
By the way I have Leo (on cusp of Cancer) (boy could we talk ) in Rising and Capricorn Moon.
You folk are so quick.
ROXIE, I had Alpha Wolves and now just a loving Beta. (all females)

The Year of the Water Snake (Blue). (was/is a  and with most forms of creativity:rofl2::no::wink:)the wink is the truth 😉 and 😎 :rofl2:
What about a Chang E Moon? (this is not my favorite version of the story)
I just watched most of Sherman’s March. I’ve been hittin’the Gin, too. What can ya do?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091943/
King Kong Oh, you Capricorn, you. notice I have that in my Moon.
Tell all, what Animal and colour :rofl2:
More Gin, you say?:ear:Ok. Just give mw a minute.
Druid, red Fire Horse.
travis GIN! :alc:
My sister has a great saying about gin. I’ll try to remember it.
Travis, And I wanted to have Margaritas made by now. But …
Well, uh, is Roxie still out there somewhere?
I think I’ll just step outside for a few minutes, if you know what I mean:bong:
I have saturn
~ 7* conjunction with pluto (damn f*ing powerful no matter what the astronomical bean counters say) in leo in tight square to venus mars conjunction in taurus. which pretty well fucks up my love life.
I have mercury in gemini exactly square uranus in virgo which makes me analytical (read critical) and outspoken about it.
my gemini sun is closely trine my neptune in libra. a ”dubious” good aspect due to an inherit high expectation of what life SHOULD be like.
finally, an exact sextile from moon to excellent jupiter in scorpio makes me good at making and spending money…which makes up for a lot of the other stuff.
I also have half a dozen other indicators that I have a thing about animals. I must admit human beings are not my favorite species … i’ve had cats that I adored that were clearly assholes by cat standards. it’s only the human assholes that I mind.
there you have me in a astrological nutshell..
Throw it down amongst yourselves, peeps.
:omg:Too many words!:yuck:
I need to buy- well, I need the capital first- a video camera, to record my encounters.
we’re not moving to the new thread yet, are we?
Roxie!:banana:Thanks for the Birthday beer!
Am i throwin’ it down to myself, or what?
RoxieSeattle, I as timid as a “wolf”.
I do have to say this since I do take reading seriously. This hurts my head talking so openly about this but we opened The Box.
I read all …. name it and I do it (now by choice not much since there is no time. I am a psychic reader (even leaves ) and onlytouching on the questions and statements mentioned ( with being a slow typist).
I am a Wiccan Druid, being very religious. Example I was called a Catholic Witch at age 9 … Legally died at 16 was given the Right to be even to continue with the Crystal Ball, by Jesuits at Loyola M. U. Re “VooDoo” astrology: I am a Reverend and as CA states I am my own Church. I (and many) can see what the dates mean and at times people may not want their “Story Told” . I respect that and counsel accordingly. All (sp) please forgive I am trying to hurry then after a few I want to delete. This is a brief synopsis. 😮
hey travis

Hey, my liver’s good for another couple years. That’s good enough foe me. At least I’m not in India asking doctors to amputate my arm, so I can beg in the street, or something. Anyone hear that on NPR?
I just read, I am sorry Gemini, I thought you said March:!::doh: of course we are AIR signs  I have some signs in Virgo, too, including sister 😮

The Hinckley Case
In March 1981, shortly after Pres. Reagan took office, he was the target of an assassin’s bullet, which missed his heart by less than an inch. Was this event, in reality, a bold coup d’etat attempt by his vice president, G. H. W. Bush? Here are some of the items I have read on the Internet about this: 1) John Hinckley, the person who fired the shot at Pres. Reagan, was a friend of Neil Bush, the son of the vice president. (Strictly speaking, it is John’s brother Scott, who is pals with Neil.) 2) Another shot came from the window of the hotel. 3) Pres. Reagan wrote in his memoirs that he felt the pain near his ribs only after the Secret Service man had bundled him into the limousine. 4) That limousine arrived at the hospital 15 minutes later than another car that left at the same time, the excuse being that the driver, a man based in Washington, D.C., had got lost in Washington, D.C. 5) Hinckley’s motive for attempting to kill Reagan was, supposedly, that he had a crush on the actress Jodie Foster and wanted to impress her. 6) The senior Bushes and senior Hinckleys changed their stories twice in 24 hours as to whether the two families knew each other. 7) Hinckley pleaded ‘not guilty’ by reason of insanity. 8) His psychiatrist was from Tavistock Clinic in England, home of the infamous experiments on mind control, which can be used to program assassins (‘Manchurian candidates’).
As to the question of whodunit, there is no machine that can process the above information and yield a definitive answer. It falls to the mind of the individual to make a judgment. The first thing I did when considering the above facts, was to evaluate my sources. Much of the information had come from George Bush: An Unauthorized Biography by Webster G. Tarpley and Anton Chaitkin, which is available in full on the Internet. The publisher, Executive Intelligence Review, gets its funding from Lyndon LaRouche. I take LaRouche to be a very intelligent man, but he has developed a cult around himself, which makes me wary. So I double-sourced the information, e.g., by checking Reagan’s memoirs as to the timing of the pain in his chest…
I was unaware of any Hinckley assassination attempt conspiracy theory. BTW, Mary Maxwell is running for congress in NH, Republican. She believes the government is involved in 9/11.
Congressional hopeful says 9/11 attacks were a hoax
NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A little-known candidate in New Hampshire’s 2nd District congressional race says the American government had a role in the September 11th terrorist attacks and is criticizing the media for not reporting on it.
Republican Mary Maxwell of Concord told The Telegraph said the government was complicit in the attack so it could make Americans hate Arabs and allow the military to bomb Iraq.
The attacks, Maxwell said, were meant “to make us more willing to have more stringent laws here, which are totally against the Bill of Rights” and give Americans a reason “to hate (Arabs and Muslims) and fear them and, therefore, bomb them in Iraq for other reasons.”
