The season finale of Bill Maher started off well enough with the guy I wish was my Representative in Congress, Barney Frank. He’d get me out to vote. My dream Presidential ticket would be Barney Frank and Bernie Sanders. Bernie and Barney, Barney and Bernie – either way. In fact, both ways. For sixteen years. Alas, that will never happen. But, hey, anybody who’s better than Bush.
Unfortunately, it was downhill from there as I had to suffer through the interminable Andrew Sullivan. What a f*cking Coulter (euphemism for a different “C” word) that guy is. It’s rare that I find myself cheering for Tweetie, but Sullivan had me doing just that. In fact, I was hoping Matthews would just punch the asshole in the mouth and be done with it.
Oh well, time to get this weekend over with.
Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain says that he was shocked when God told him to run for president.
“Before President Obama took office, I never even conceived or thought of running for president,†Cain told a group of Young Republicans in South Carolina Saturday. “It was only after he took office and I saw his arrogant disregard for the American people that I know that I had to do what I could do. … That when I prayed and prayed and prayed. I’m a man of faith. I had to do a lot of praying for this one.â€
“And when I finally realized that it was God saying that this is what I needed to do, I was like Moses: ‘You’ve got the wrong man, Lord. Are you sure?’â€

What’s up with God? He told Michelle Bachmann to run, he told W to run. Now he’s whispering in Cain’s ear. Does he hate America?
Governor Cuomo, AKA Snotball is cutting another $1.4 billion from schools. At the same time he is refusing to renew the surcharge on millionaires. In 2008 the state, AKA Snotball increased the credit paid to movie companies to film in NY, mostly NYC, from 10 to 30%. Last year that accounted for $2.1 billion. NY is now providing 1/4 of the money spent by the rest of the states. Mayor Bloomberg, whom PJ has not supplied with a pithy, descriptive name, thinks this is great.
