Monday, after a pretty tough weekend for our civil rights. Both the House and Senate caved in after president bunny pants threw hi little tantrum. Looks like if we want to save our way of life – if we want the Constitution of the United States of America to be preserved, protected, and defended – we’ll have to do it ourselves. Not today, though. I have to go to work.
Alright it is 3:03am … I am so alone… Fred, is it lonely at the “top”? :pirate: Alpha :pup: A!I!V!
So, I’m thinking Wes Clark for SecDef. Michael Moore for press secretary. Al Gore as Energy Secretary. Bill Richardson as Secretary of State. Some cabinet level position for Kucinich. Not sure what, just yet. Maybe HHS.

Secretary of Peace, of course. Once we establish the Department of Peace.
PJ, PC’s, and Vista are vindicated.
Vista more secure than Mac OSX and Linux?
Darknet spilled these bits on August 3rd 2007 @ 6:39 am
Judging by figures alone, Vista is more secure than Mac OSX and Linux? I somehow find this a rather strange claim, I guess these things are always subjective.
Most numbers can be moulded into any shape you want, and can show any result you like.
According to the numbers given in a new report from Microsoft, Windows Vista has blown away all the major enterprise Linux distributions and Mac OS X as far as having the smallest amount of serious security vulnerabilities in the six months since its release. The numbers were compiled by Jeff Jones, the security strategy director in Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing Group. … (continue)

Kos boos Clinton
CHICAGO (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton refused Saturday to forsake campaign donations from lobbyists, turning aside challenges from her two main rivals with a rare defense of the special interest industry.
“A lot of those lobbyists, whether you like it or not, represent real Americans, they actually do,†Clinton said, drawing boos and hisses from liberal bloggers at the second Yearly Kos convention.

Of course, her courageous compadres are only against lobbyist dollars in theory. In practice, they’re happy to accept money from whomever they can get it. Other than Kucinich, of course.
All of them :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
All of them :tommygun: :tommygun: :tommygun:
Well a clerical error gave corporations the same rights as individuals and its been that way for over a hundred years with out any attempt on the part of congress to correct that slight oversight .. maybe Hillary is slightly confused .. those three martini lunches can do that to you :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist: .
So does Computer men and women wear the same type of clothes as Fox News? :rofl2: :rofl2: ? :hubba: :rofl2:
Good Day all! Tea Cheers — “which” I have to brew :omg: A!I!V!
What she was trying to say – and she didn’t articulate it very well – was that some of the lobbyists work on behalf of, oh, the teacher’s union, healthcare workers, public employees, environmental groups, etc. You know, the groups that Republicans refer to as “special interests.”
Lunchtime Greetings from

You guys heard that Mark Riley got fired, right? I guess that AAR has ended “The Air Americans.” We got it here in Madison and I often caught parts of it; Riley was uneven but did have some great moments, especially with the musical guests and the historical perspective on the news. David Bender did some really outstanding interviews. They recycled a lot of Ring of Fire content. The show was kind of a hodge podge of content and contributors. Four hours was a very long show and a lot for one host to coordinate and carry. I thought Riley was the teflon man at AAR so I am surprised. Now he knows how Maron felt. Who is next?
😮 😮 Oh dear radio will never be a success until they actually offer up some solutions. obviously electing demodorps to office wasn’t a solution.. :yuck:
Otherwise its just amounts to hospice care for the rest of us . The little kid running below decks on the SBR titanic to tell you how far away from dying you are . :reaper: :reaper:
I think politicians like Hillary take “favors$$$” from the lobbying groups who represent the peoples interests and “favors $$$” from the lobbyists who represent the corporate interests and vote depending on whos $$$ were the largest amount.. That way they can have their cake and eat it too as long as they don’t get caught in bed with both sides at the same time.. but even then you only have two senators and they are there essentially for a political forever so both sides just say “Oh well better luck next time”.. Most of the time the IDIOT MORONS aka voters would never know . :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
Thats why most politicians never take a position on anything its too easy to pin them down on their voting record ..
and
How many NEA, AFLCIO, Firefighters… members would know they paid their politicians $$$ to take a stand on some issue .. They come and stand in front of you and say one thing then go to lunch with the some member of Reich… its a lot like the government in France during the Nazi occupation. :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
😮 😮 😮 Hummmm :crap: :paranoid: :paranoid:
Remember the solid waste plant scenario.. Both sides have their big peaces. :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:

I didn’t say Hillary was right, just that that was what she was trying to say. She took a lot of money from the insurance industry, and is no longer for single-payer healthcare. Now she’s for subsidizing the insurance industry with tax dollars.
But, what she should have said was “look who’s talking – you fellas take a shitload of lobbyist money, so don’t get all holier than thou with me.”
RAGING Granny, I have a headache … I wonder why? :fustrate:  I “feel” all is due to rethug “mental bush abuse” . A!I!V!
Can FeinWhore be Impeached? A!I!V!
PJ, I agree with you…in regards to “what she should have said…”
😉
Well …. Hillary was speaking to Kos .. I’m sure they think no politician should take $$$ or “favors’ from anyone.( except perhaps Kos) :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :crap: :fustrate: :paranoid:
You are never going to get public financing .. period no iffs or buts ..of elections until you get a whole new congress and senate of virgins .. That can only be accomplished by taking more direct means to achieve the desire goals. :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist: :tommygun: :tommygun: :tommygun: :tommygun: :jason: :jason: :jason: :rant1: :rant1: :rant1:
The way this so called government works it might more productive to slip a few cnotes to some ss27 crew in EurAsia 😮 😯
Fred, dear Fred, RE 33 … I so agree, but like I once said to people talking about the “next step” … are you ready to give up the fight? The next level is like some important ones facing LONG jail time or Death :reaper: … NEXT STEP: And these are but a few.
I hope by Radical Actions — Books Includes SciFi/Fan and books like the old E.F. and Sea Ss…. — hopefully by Computer Radio, AirWaves, and other ways ……… Start many of Our Kind of “Lobbies” … :pirate: :fist: A!I!V! but no talk about IMPEACHMENT! at Kos :smack:
Retailers fuming over lackluster sales at new mall
DENVER – There’s growing frustration on the part of some retailers about the slow start to Boulder’s 29th Street retail center.
Twenty-Ninth Street Mall opened last fall and attracted lots of new tenants, but now some are worried about their future.
They claim Twenty-Ninth Street Mall executives have come up short on marketing and they have not had the customer traffic they were expecting.
One tenant, the Laudisio Italian Restaurant, has gone so far as to file a lawsuit, saying it has lost a $1 million in business.
A Twenty-Ninth Street Mall spokesman says things should improve, especially with the opening of a new 16-screen movie theater this month.

The retailers always see the lie first .. 3.7 percent unemployment IS A BUNCH OF :crap: When will Bill Ritter see he has a big problem over here .. :reaper: :reaper:
Colorado will probably be the first state to demonstrate that long term unemployment makes the federal reported unemployment rate go to zero.. This equation will work well in the rethug plans to say “well we have such good employment we have to offshore these jobs” :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist: :tommygun: :tommygun: ..
Heartman is so full of it today :yuck: :crap: :barf: :barf: :fustrate: :fustrate: :paranoid:
That was what was interesting about Hillary, that she would answer that so poorly. Especially when she could have just pointed out that the other people as just “impure.” Or that you can’t get elected dogcatcher w/o raising a few million bucks, so you take money from wherever you can get it (would have been just as poorly received, but it would at least have been honest).
You can peruse her voting record, and her Campaign Finance disclosure, and make your own judgment about how she votes and who she owes..
That resturant in Boulder should sue the Federal Dept of labor for being a sack of lying shit heads. :tommygun: :tommygun: :reaper: :gate: :omg: :jason: :jason: :fist:
What you don’t see in the individual contributions colum in Hillary’s election financing break out is who the “individuals” are .. How many bankers, CEO’s, stock brokers, people sitting on bags of gold and just filthy wealthy are there and what percentage of that money from individuals is derived from their donations..
There seem to be a inordinate number of people in the south Denver burbs who have these big houses and six cars but no visible means of support. .. they are every where and they are cockroaches … :reaper: :reaper:
I think most are ” :yuck: y ” — I think Edwards is a bit better …To tell you the truth, all I want to do is focus upon Gore running, and then fill in the slots. Most DEMS I am ashamed of but I have to, for now, put up with whomever, ultimately, for now…and VOTE DEM 😳 🙄 … :fist: A!I!V!
Remember the Republican state legislator and co-chair of the McCain campaign in Florida who was busted for offering a cop $20 and oral sex? Talking Points Memo finds out why he did that:
“This was a pretty stocky black guy, and there was nothing but other black guys around in the park,” said Allen, according to this article in the Orlando Sentinel. Allen went on to say he was afraid of becoming a “statistic.”
I guess this raises the question of whether if you thought you were about to get mugged by a group of stocky black guys, your first plan of escape would be to try to give one of them a blowjob. But I guess maybe you had to be there.

Actually, you can also look up individual donors, if you’re so inclined.
Well the first 100 or so donors ( like $ 600,000 dollars worth) seemed to be investment bankers, stock brokers and other lawyers 😮
So Sgt Schultz discovers on the air that KOS is a liberal feel good farce .. :yuck: :crap: :fustrate: :paranoid:
Fred- The 29th Street mall is failing because the google-plex movie theatre is a year and a half late in opening and because Whole Foods despite failing to swallow Wild Oats killed their plans for opening an anchor store along with their leadquarters. There’s still so much money floating around Boulder there’s not enough Escalades to carry it around in.
Downtown Longmont looks like a dustbowl corpse- have they sent all the turkey processors back to the desert?
For thems that care, Sam Seder will be appearing on the soon to be toast Air Americans Show with lame duck David Bender from 8-9 PM EDT talking about YKos (if you haven’t had enough already).
The government will now be free to intercept any communications believed to be from outside the United States (including from Americans overseas) that involve “foreign intelligence” — not just terrorism. It will be able to monitor phone calls and e-mails of U.S. citizens or residents without warrants — unless the subject is the “primary target” of the surveillance. Instead of having the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court ensure that surveillance is being done properly, with monitoring of Americans minimized, that job would be up to the attorney general and the director of national intelligence. The court’s role is reduced to that of rubber stamp.

I feel much safer now.
#30 — Dru — after I got back to the trenches, I left my worksheets & reference stuff at the nurses workstation as I always do) to go speak to a patient. When I got back, there was a little blister packed pink pill sitting on top of my stuff, so I picked it up thinking “Oh, goody, maybe someone left me something good, like a valium or xanax or ativan” :dancers: :dancers: . So, I checked the label — it was 81 mg Aspirin (baby dose — wouldn’t do much)– still need it?? Interesting synchronicity :tinfoil: FWIW
Not as good as Kristapea’s cockroach guts story, though :boobs:
Ah, well. It’s good to be out of that toxic environment :hot: .
And it is TOO DAMN :hot: & icky here :hot:
Well, :40: , then zzzzzzzzzz……….
:fist: A!I!V! :fist:
Sammy Cam if you care. Bender just played a tribute to Riley with some Morning Sedition and a nod to MS.
Well, oddly Riley never gave a nod to marc or MS when he got the show…
Home again…pretty smooth, but then the reality of how limited mom is in the housecare area…not to mention chicken care…most of em died…too hot and they stopped eating…I dont know…but I have some eggs in the incubator. Maybe they’ll make it.
did y’all see my writeup of the kos presidential forum?…It also is published on John Edward’s blog.
emergency email org
Melina- just wondered if you got any face time with Cenq? He’s in agreement with you about Edwards. The more I see of Hillary the more I think about NAFTA and how much Bubba contributed to the destruction of the middle-class. I fear as much her getting elected as Gouliani- am I being too dramatic? 😯 :tinfoil:
Aye. It appears that Green has less patience than the former. I know little about the radio biz but it seems that you can’t build a following w/o showing a little patience. Fear of a black planet, Chuck D is the only one left.
It was Bender who was saying nice things about MS. Apparently Riley is already gone, no victory lap. I think Bender mentioned something to Seder about MS and Sam said it was a little ‘awkward’ at the end.
Sam was working out of his new studio.
It sounded like Richard Greene may have been at YKos.
Seder said that he subs for Malloy next Monday.
Chenk is a very strange fellow…He was everywhere and yet nowhere…
He brought lots of changes of clothes and even wore a Young Turks T shirt just in case…but has alot of suits…hung out with guys only and was sort of stocky and strange looking.
I could have easily talked to him…heaven knows I talked ot everyone else I wanted to…at the drop of a hat!…ask Jill! But I had no interest in him at all. Im not fond of his show and I see him socially as rather frat-boyish.
Hillary really scared me…She is like the queen or something…removed and careful…and I dont like what she says.
people in her breakout group said that she didnt get to much because her answers were very long and specific…so she spent the first 15 mins on healthcare…but she has no plan!!
Hill could be very dangerous…she doesnt really answer questions and when she does its like, she wont swear off lobby donations because lobbyists are Americans too and they represent Americans…and she wants to be president of all the people…even the lobbyists…huh? and anyway, we know her record so we should trust her…double huh??
People in Obama’s breakout group were totally thrilled with him as a visionary and future leader…and we all would be comfortable voting for him. But he really seems not to be ready yet. he seems too green.
As great as Richardson is, i just dont think he has a chance. I would love to see him on a ticket though as #2…but I dont think he will take it. He says he loves his job and wants to keep it.
Kucinich…well, he has some excellent ideas but not a chance in hell…Dodd is on fire, but he is just not gonna get it. maybe a #2 but I doubt even that. he needs to stick with what he is doing as an elder statesman. We really need him here, thats for sure…
Gravel…whatever…just funny…
Edwards is my guy…he is it for me. He is in flux about a few things, but his thing is that reasonable people can disagree and change their minds …he believes in democracy, ethics and morality…and he struggles with issues…you can see how he struggles and how thoughtful he is. He is channeling RFK and he swears that no matter what, he will fight for equality and fairness until the day he dies.
yay, sammy for malloy next monday!!
I didnt see Green….and I probably would have been told because Im one of the few AAR people around.
I talked to so many people about it.
Y’know, I think that Green WANTS the shows to fail so he can make the whole thing into an infomercial station…
On the other hand, maybe he will make a snap decision to bump Sam back to the weekdays…
what show was this interview on? RoF?
Sam was on the Air Americans tonight. Off air he was talking to Bender or someone in the studio about someone who came up to him, it sounded like from AAR, at YKos. Someone who was going to get a show that will run 5 days who also has a weekend show that prevents him from being on all three hours on XM on Sundays. Sounded like his name was Richard. It sounded like Richard Greene to me. Maybe doing some stealth research.
I have been up for several hours and got 2 hrs work on one bloody yucky project.
Yes, I heard Richard (not related to Green, and I do like his (Richard) actions). I think older bro has “it” for Arianna (sp)
but what happens to Pap , RFKjr , BENDER — I am just confused — but awake in need of more tea. :fustrate: :growl: :fist: A!I!V!
