A group of landowners in Tioga County in Western New York State have reached an agreement with gas drillers’ eCorp and GasFrac Energy Services to open up 130,000 acres to gas drilling and to use liquid propane gas (LPG) as a fracking agent.
GasFrac Energy Services, in Alberta Canada has pioneered a proprietary propane injected system to retrieve oil and gas. It uses liquid propane gas as a fracking agent to replace the need for the several million gallons of water normally used each time a well is fracked. The company claims that propane injection is not covered by the New York fracking moratorium on gas drilling.
The process injects propane gel under high pressure into the shale. It gasifies during the process and is recovered, sold, or reused. GasFrac has commercialized this approach and is building a niche in the fracking services business as an alternative to water-based procedures.
Sp, sounds like you got the better end of the Lola recovery process. I’d gladly pay a tip not to have to clean up doggie barf! Glad the gluttonous one is well.
As for the fracking method…just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should do that something.
Besides food, some from the street, Lola has eaten socks, sponges and wood. As she has gotten older she has given up sponges. Yet she is very fussy about the dog food she eats and will happily turn her nose up at kibble and canned food that she does not like. Worse, she has one of those sensitive dog tummies and it prone to belly aches.
I highly recommend retirement as a cure for those workday blues.
Fracking with propane.

Gee, what could go wrong with that?
