Chechens? Gotta say, I didn’t see that coming. Quite a bit of excitement over there in Massachusetts. Probably not a good idea to rob a 7-Eleven if you’ve had your photo spread across the world. On the bright side, if you live in Boston, it sounds like your weekend is starting early this week. What the hell would drive a couple of young kids to do something like this is beyond me – and we may never know, if the second one goes the way of his brother. Though apparently there’s a third guy who may or may not have something to do with all this.
I mean, is this a political thing? Do they want Massachusetts to separate from Russia? Maybe they played too much Grand Theft Auto. Is it a Muslim thing? Or are they just a couple of fucked-up kids who happen to be from Chechnya? Thank goodness they were apparently here legally, or we’d never hear the end of it.
One more warm day here, and then things turn to shit for the weekend.
Here’s a summary of the news of the past 12 hours:
Black hat guy dead. White hat guy, not dead.
Hard to believe one 19-yr old kid can shut down Boston.
It’s all good! Tweety has Giudyani on now. We’ll get to the bottom of this now.
Ruby IS the bottom. The only thought of Rudy that can make me smile is that he lives with Judy who has brought demanding obnoxiousness to great heights.
Why Should I Care That No One’s Reading Dzhokhar Tsarnaev His Miranda Rights?
War Correspondent talks Chechnya …
From FB yesterday…
:rofl2:
MSNBC has to lose this so-called expert James Cavanaugh that they are letting eat up air time with the most inane speculation and bad knowledge like he lives in a terror nostalgialand.
That was about the most informative interview I have seen about the Chechen thing, all in a little over 4 minutes. I love good journalism. That Miranda article was also top notch.

Wow. You think they had any idea what they were singing about?

What’s new, pussycat?
I think my panties are decidedly out of date.
It’s not unusual.
I know you don’t care about this as much as I do, but the girl I was seeing posted something in her journal that really disturbed me. The whole entry was about suicide. I wonder if it’s legal to take a picture of her journal entry and post it online. It would really be an invasion of privacy and something I couldn’t do unless I thought that showing her mom would help in some way. I think it’s a form of therapy writing that, though, or it may have been a cry for help. I don’t want her family to hate me or have me in a grey zone of the law by taking a picture of her journal and sharing. The subject matter makes me sick to think about considering she’s been cutting herself. I feel like the cutting is just her practicing for an eventual suicide. I’m saddened and relieved we’re not seeing each other anymore. The way we broke up wasn’t good, and I guess it never is.
I don’t think it is that no one cares. It just isn’t something an amateur like me feels qualified to give any advice on. There are many more qualified assets out there dealing with mental health and suicide issues. I do not endorse this one but it is a starting point.

I really don’t know what to say, Travis. This girl appears to need a lot of help. Whether it’s because she’s truly suicidal or is seeking attention or uses this behavior as a way to manipulate others isn’t something it’s possible for a layperson to determine. I suspect it isn’t easy for a trained professional, either.
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to force people to get help. They need to want it, and then you can try and support them and help them through it. Otherwise, there’s not much you can do, and you also need to protect yourself and your own well-being.
I hope things work out for her, and for you.
A most prudent sign.
