Could anyone tell me how to transfer a .WAV file into Windows Media file so I could transfer it to a CD- por favor?
I was listening to Bill Maher, last night. He had a former employee of Bill Frist. She was a young black woman and she went to A Harlem hair salon to talk to the customers. They, of course, were very supportive of Obama, but the most interesting observation was from one young woman who said that all the Dems were the same it was just a matter of which one you liked best.
In th end that may be true.
I think anyone of of the Dems has a good chance. What really worries me is whether they can stand up to the Rethug slime machine that has already been churning. Obama has been called a Muslim etc. and of course there are people like Dickie Toe Morris who are all too happy to make us all think that one side or the other is racist. And we fall for it.
Maher was asking what exactly Bill Clinton said that was racist and the answers were that he used a word that could be interpreted as…blah blah…or that someone else said something (not a Clinton campaigner) and somehow the Clintons run everything. What’s worse is that we then talk and argue about it.

Hey Art, I beleive you can use Windows Media Player to both rip wav files to wma (or mp3, for that matter), and to burn an audio CD.

pj- I tried use Windows Media- I don’t know how to “capture” WAV files on it. All I’ve ever used it Itunes for making CD’s
In WMP version 11, click on ‘Burn’ and then drag the wav files into the burn list (either from within your WMP library, or from windows explorere)..
It’s complicated. Mrs A is doing some consulting buisness so she’s got hours of interviews on WAV files recorded on an Olympus digital recorder. There was some software that came with that and that’s where the recordings are. I thought that if I highlighted the file to copy (in the Olympus place) and clicked “burn” under WMedia (like you suggested) that that would work but it didn’t. I’m sure it’s on the hardrive somewhere but I can’ figure out how to move it into WM
I think you can also burn audio CDs with Audacity. I think that supports wav files. Been a while since I made an audio CD.
I just burn wav files right on to the disc via iTunes :omg: right now. Never had a problem. That is how I copy CDs :omg: or tracks. But don’t listen to me, please.
Mrs A is kind of a tech luddite (I’m not much better). We’ll see what’s easiest. I should have just bought her the mp3 player I wanted to but she can see how tuned out I am with mine (listening to malloy and rachel while I’m driving around) :tap:

*.wav files are the raw data files used to make CDs and are what you usually end up with when you rip one…. all the typical commercial CD burning programs let you organize them into tracks and burn them to a CD.. Windows media player lets you make play lists out of them so I would suppose it burns them to CD directly as well.. :tap: :tap:
