Friday once again. My second Friday, sort of, since I’m at my undisclosed (and much preferred) location today. That means I get to come home and see the doggy at lunch time, and I should be out in time to get him to the park. It’ll be nice to get the week over with. Maybe I can even sleep ’til eight tomorrow.
“Frankly, in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror.”
:barf: :barf: :barf:
Willard, please. The only terror was on the part of your accountant, when he realized you had pissed away $35 million in your ego-stroking attempt to make yourself look presidential.
You need some serious rest. Put on the magic underpants, strap a couple of puppies to the roof of your car, and take a long drive into oblivion. Your country will thank you.
And please remind your sons that since your campaign is over, they are now eligible for military service.
:nana:
No puppies were actually harmed in the creation of the previous post. Just for the record.
:pup:
WTF is wrong with democrats! I keep hearing people call into shows and say either they will NOT vote for Hillary and would rather vote for McCain or they will NOT vote for Obama and would rather vote for McCain. People are just getting waaaaaay too analytical about this whole thing and taking it waaay too personally. My mom accused me of being a “woman traitor” because I voted for Obama. Settle down folks.
Wow, the callers on Bill Press’ show today are really retarded.
Especially since, if you look at their voting records and official opinions, you’d have a hard time telling the two apart. I didn’t get all goose-pimply and teary-eyed when I voted, but, jeebus, McCain vs. Clintama? No contest.
So, I guess what happened to my voter registration is that, I reregistered to vote in September at the MVD to update my address. Then I reregistered in November to change my party affiliation when I found out that independents weren’t gonna have an opportunity to vote in the primary. Apparently, the MVD september registration got into the system AFTER my November registration and changed my party affiliation back to independent. :smack:
Ha. Well, one thing that seems consistent across the country is the speed at which the DMV (as we call it here) operates. Although, to be fair, here in NY you can do pretty much everything online these days.
:joe: :joe: :joe: :joe: :joe: :joe: 😮 😮 :yuck: :crap: :paranoid: 😯 😯
❓ ❓ ❓ Whatever :sheep: le
In the vet’s waiting room I met a woman who told me she was VERY liberal. She was weighing a vote for Obama or Clinton. She was very angry at Clinton’s vote for the war.
Then….she said she might vote for McCain. I asked her why she would do that knowing that McCain says it’s OK to stay in Iraq for 100 years.
She said everybody knew we were stuck there now that we were in Iraq. I pointed out that McCain is prolife and in favor of the tax cuts. She was shocked. Said she didn’t know that, and would never vote for him, knowing that.
I assume that there are lots of folks who have heard McCain is a maverick and, like my friend at the vet, think that he is therefore a liberal. I hope when they hear what he stands for they will not want to vote for him.
Terrorist water main causes mass havoc in Denver commute
It took some people three hours to get home last night and probably the same to get to work this morning.. Fortunately no one drove off into the hole.. 😮
Bush says that a vote for Clintama threatens peace and prosperity. So, in case you are confused, this is a time of peace and prosperity. Got it?

Here’s Bushco prosperity:
Here is a sign of how shaky the economy is becoming: Wal-Mart says its shoppers are redeeming their holiday gift cards for basic items — pasta sauce, diapers, laundry detergent — rather than iPods and DVDs.
Merchants had hoped that shoppers with gift cards would provide a lift after a slack holiday season, partly because they tend to spend more than the value of the card. But that did not seem to happen last month, and retailers are feeling the pain.
On Thursday, the nation’s retailers turned in their worst January in almost four decades as high gasoline and food prices, the slumping housing market, tighter credit and tougher job prospects pushed some consumers to the edge.

One has to understand that when a rethug talks about anything related to the “economy” it is only a reference to their ‘economy” to the
stock marketcrap shoot and the retention of vast wealth by the very rich.. The peons out here don’t even exist in their alternate reality except when they make loud noises.. that might effect their bottom line.. :tap: :tap:With comments like that one from Mitten Rominey it is obvious the terrorists are winning. The terrorists have the right-wing wackos scared shitless.
The wingnuts are always scared shitless. That’s why they are wingnuts. They are the people who really ” hate our freedoms.”
Rudy the Horrible said that freedom was not necessarily a license to do things, but freedom FROM things such as fear and, that people had to cede large portions of their personal freedom to the gummint.
He really was a scary SOB.
Mukasey: No, I Will Not Enforce Citations for Contempt of Congress
Just to complete the theme of the day, Michael Mukasey said today that if Congress passed contempt citations against current and former White House officials based on their refusal to respond to subpoenas, the Justice Department would not enforce them, as federal law instructs.
I’ve always considered myself a big Baroque fan but I never knew this.
Seems like Guidi would make a wonderful AG for President McCain.
Yeah, we had Tacobell’s Canon at our wedding, I guess. Apparently, I am an uncouth, vulgar, daft idiot, because I had never heard of it (or him).
I know all the words to Aqualung, though.
Sheesh, I have to tolerate Howie at C&L. I really prefer the LNMC when someone else does it.

For thems that care, Seder will be subbing for Malloy tonight.
SammyCam should also be in effect.
Another reminder, many new Videos on Demand of Maron v. Seder have been uploaded.
Thanks Vernon. Guess I’ll have to wait to watch until I get home. Can’t keep my buffers full here.
Settle down folks.

Isn’t that McCain’s talking point?
😀
Sorry, maybe I forgot to give the time because I figured everyone knows their Malloy time but for live and for SammyCam is from 9-Midnight on the East Coast. I hope pj is home by then.
It is not sounding like Maron is picking up sub slots these days. I was hoping he would be getting some air during the AAR cruise.
Home? Hell, that’s bedtime.
Hi guys, coming out of lurkage. Any other audio versions of Maron v. Seder out there?
Meanwhile, I’m moving. It’s hell.
You, bloggren, I am temporarily able to tear myself away from my daily diet of Alternet, Huffington Post, Wonkette, and Live Journal (to make sure I’m still alive), and say hi! My entire family is torn up over the primaries and none of us gets to vote until May.
Are any of the Seattle-ites still here? I’m trying to figure out Washington’s system. I keep hearing about the state caucus but my friends in America’s Vancouver just mailed in their ballots, whcih doesn’t sound like a caucus to me. I asked them and they claim ignorance.
Sandi B, if you read this, would you email me? I lost your phone number and your email address (we upgraded at work and lost our personal address books and I swapped cell phones and hadn’t transferred all my numbers when the old one gasped its last. And those were the only places I had your phone number/email address.) I want to show you some of the things your yarn has been used for. (Although I can’t knit for a while because of some weird muscular issues in my right hand :knit2: making it hurt to knit so I’ve learned to crochet like a normal person.
No recipe today. Maybe tonight if the news overwhelms me again.
anastasi

I probably have most of them around somewhere if you can’t find something.
Wow! Anastasi AND gypsy, not only on the same day, but with back-to-back posts. Hi there!
Kevin, we aim to wow.
Thanks Vernon,
I’ve finished catching up with Seder’s ‘casts, but the other audio might make my painting go faster.
Kevin, I’m still here. No longer at the building next door, tho.
Sorry, anastasi, if that doesn’t help. Most of what exists can be found there if you care to drill down. Here is another link
http://www.samsedershow.com/node/2242
which is on one of those other pages. I posted most of the links here as they became available.
Here is a link for most of this week’s
http://www.mediafire.com/?4mfdxgy2ch6. I don’t think anyone did last week’s.
Sam and Marc don’t really seem to give a shit about it.
Hey there Anastasi and Gypsy. Nice to see you guys.
My sister tells me the Clinton Obama “tie” in Syracuse made Olbermann. I have it recorded, but haven’t watched it yet.
Yay, some old time bloggies! Hey Gypsy and Anastasi!
So, I just heard on Jeffs’ show that John Conyers is on the verge of filing for impeachment. Lemme find the story, just a sec.
John Conyers; Don’t Be Brave. Be Smart- Smart Enough to Use the Claw of the Impeachment Hammer.
My oh my. What a long day! I looked at yesterday’s blog to see if anyone had replied to my comment #14. Thought I posted that yesterday. Time card said 51.5 for the week. And I brought my wee beastie home for the weekend for a quiet weekend of programming.
Oh MAN! The city of Phoenix is having an auction to sell off old equipment like street sweepers and :fire: I think we need a Morning Seditionist firetruck. We can give it to Marc for his birthday or something.
#14 comment from yesterday is from PJ. Maybe youre working too much, NCBlue.
Hey NCBlue, I got a garden growing on my roof. We got Swiss chard, Romain and spinach. The tomatos didn’t make it, I forgot to cover them on a freeze night and my room mate flooded them out one day.
NCBlue, how does it look for the Crab Cake Primary Tuesday?
Did you see Jon Stewart on Romney?
And I’m sure it was a brilliant comment.
Ooooh! Jeff’s getting ranty :hubba:
