The best thing about the Sunday morning shows is that they almost make me happy to go back to work. Almost.
This week on Press the Meat, it’s two of the biggest heads out there in one place, as Timmy’s Potatohead hosts Ralph Nader. Will Ralph run? Will anybody care? Tune in to find out. Then we’ll hear from a roundtable of talking heads, with NY Times asshole David Brooks, presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, NPR’s Michele Norris and living proof that goatees are for assholes, Chuck Todd (to anyone out there with a goatee, that was just a joke, so lighten up).
Over at CBS, looks like Faze the Nation has lost another webmaster, ‘cuz they’ve still got last week’s information up, and who really gives a sit anyway?
Moving over to Fux News, it’s Governor’s Day, as Weaselface Wallace has two asshole Republican Governors (Tim “we aint got money to waste repairing bridges” Pawlenty of Minnesota, and Mark “Elizabeth, I’m comin’ to join you honey” Sanford of SC. Ever fair and balanced, Weaselface also has Democrats Tim Kaine of VA and Jon Corzine from Jersey. There’s also the usual assortment of Fuxheads, and the return of the ‘Power Player of the Week,” Maverick McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis.
At the Goebbels network, George Snufalufagus hosts Senator MBNA, Joe Biden, and the sick and twisted Senator from Texas, Kay Bailey Hutchison. Speaking of sick and twisted, This Weak’s Roundtable has Peggy Noonan (former lead singer of Herman’s Hermits) and Cokie “the hag” Roberts, plus the sadly pathetic George :jerk: Will, and WaPost columnist EJ Dionne.
Another Governor’s day of sorts over at CNN, as Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission includes Ed Rendell of PA (Clinton lackey) and Kathleen Sebelius of KS (Obama sycophant), and I guess Tim Pawlenty didn’t have much to do today, ‘cuz they’ll drag him out again, too, along with Chuck Hagel. Mike McConnell (Director of National Intelligence) will be on to tell us we’re all gonna die because the telecom companies don’t have retroactive immunity – yet – and Wolfie will also trot out St. McCain’s shyster, Robert Bennett, plus the usual pathetic collection of CNN talking heads.
Later, on 60 Minutes, Scott Pelley brings us the story of Jill Simpson, who was ordered – by Karl Rove – to smear Alabama Governor Don Siegelman by trying to take pictures of him in a compromising, sexual position with one of his aides (except Siegelman was faithful to his wife, so that didn’t work out). Anderson Cooper tells us of newspaper editor Chauncey Bailey, who was probably killed to keep a story he was working on out of print. And Steve Kroft tells us how fucked we are with all the bees gone.
Enjoy your Sunday, everybody.

Fred, that says it was published in 2004, so apparently, and as usual, nothing sways Bush and/or Chaney from what they want to believe.
When you’re a true believer, you just can’t let those facts get in the way.
Keepers at Wichitaรขโฌโขs zoo got a surprise last year when they found developing eggs inside the Komodo dragon compound. Komodos are large rapacious lizards naturally found in Indonesia, but increasingly populating zoos around the world. Finding fertile embryos of dragons is a joyous occasion รขโฌโ there are only a few thousand of the lizards in the wild and captive breeding may be the only way to keep the species around.
But these eggs รขโฌโ two of which hatched a few weeks ago รขโฌโ were unusual: they developed from a female that had had no male of the species in close proximity for more than a decade. Judging from similar occurrences over the past two years in Britain, it appears that these lizards sometimes use a form of virgin birth in which eggs hatch without conception. The embryos are genetic clones of the mother.

I really think people are tired of Nader anymore. He may have gotten 2% of the vote in 2000, but I’m sure he got less in 2004 and he’ll get even less this year. Why doesn’t he just give it up?? :tap:

In 2000, Nader got 2.7% of the vote nationally. In 2004, he got .38% (that’s point 38 percent).
Nader just announced he’s running.
I really can’t see him getting any support unless the losers supporters are just bad sports and decide to vote against the nominee.
I think if Clinton is the nominee, the Obamites are more likely to vote for Nader than if Obama is the nominee. Mostly, though, I think Nader will be lucky to get on the ballot in as many states as he did in 2004 (48, if memory serves). However, because he is (IMHO) so much less of a threat to put a Republican in the White House than he was in 2000, I think he could actually bring something to the campaign. Not that the traditional media will give him much airtime, of course. But he’s dead right on a lot of issues – like these crappy healthcare proposals from both Democrats, and the influence of corporations on every facet of our society.
Is presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin on PTM as the plagiarism expert?
I may have to watch 60 Minutes tonight since I am not much into the Oscars (translate not invited to a party) and the stories look good. I don’t much care for A. Cooper but that story is about a jounalist murdered in Oakland for an investigation of the Black Muslims. They must have an Obama connection to throw in there.
Hope Sunny Jim sees the :bee: :bee: .
Komodo dragon, GFY.
You can find a very detailed archive of Maron v. Seder MP3s for download. A couple are missing including the Maron meltdown edition.
Thanks to Jmach1JP and the other contributors but I ask you, does this guy have too much time on his hands?

See, guys, this is how it starts. First the lizards figure it out, then they pass it up the food chain to other species. In a few generations, we’ll just be glorified sex toys who are occasionally used to kill spiders.
Then some enterprising female scientist will invent a dildo that kills spiders, and we’ll be done. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
:omg:
Speaking of dildos…
Nader might actually help our cause if Obama gets the nomination, in that by highlighting progressive issues he may push Obama a bit to the left in some cases. If Hillary gets the nomination, the Dems are sunk, whether Nader is in the mix or not.
I still think he should have stayed the hell out of it, though. He is going to tarnish what he has left of his reputation by doing this. Not that he seems to give a shit.
But DRAGONS are nice, even the black one with thin “gold” aura
on inside of leg (for meditation in 1/2 lotus) between end of calf and about an inch above ankle. :rofl2: :growl: :growl: :rofl2: A!I!V! head down for humility meditating on Dragon 8) :yinyang: :pent: :om: /|\

Doesn’t Nader think he has done enough damage to the United States? Just like the rethugs, he refuses to accept responsibility for his actions. He has done more harm than good in his polka-dotted career.
Consideing that 60 Minutes is on network TV, they did a decent job on the Seigelman story.
Sammy isn’t on the list over at 236. Come on over to ModFab. The party’s hopping already.
Yes, I noticed just Lauren is on that blog
