“Hillaroid” is pretty good. I came up with “Hilldo” last night, but Hillaroid is better. Less sexual, more scatological.
7 PM EDT tonight on ESPN. Akron vs. Kent State for all the MAC marbles. Which granted is not many marbles, but it gets them to the big show if they win.
GO ZIPS!!!
:pup:
(Use your imagination and pretend the puppy is a kangaroo.)
After the events of yesterday this campaign seems to have tuned into a contest between two democratic whores and a crazy person..
If the Amerikan public cannot see that we are indeed the great satin and don’t want to move politically to change that perspective then time will tell if our civilization ends when we freeze in the dark or find the vaporized remains of ourselves and all our “stuff” circling the globe at 50,000 feet. :reaper: :reaper:
:tap: Hmmmmmmm
…. now where is that “bomb” EMO? :growl: :pirate: :yippee: A!I!V!
Now “that” is LBH… :rofl2: but the joke just floated over most like a lead balloon :billcat: :rofl2:
The right is trying, of course, to make a big deal out of what Obama’s minister said. It’s their way of saying he’s unamerican. We’re all unamerican according to them.
But, how can they make a big deal out of what Obama heard in church when they keep insisting his a Muslim?
Proof, PJ, that you are unamerican. A true American listens to Fux and cheers every misstatement, absorbs every faux fact and understands that if Hitler excited a crowd, and Obama excites a crowd, then Obama is Hitler.
Watching George W. Bush address the New York financial community Friday brought back many memories. Unfortunately, they were about his speech right after Hurricane Katrina, the one when he said: “America will be a stronger place for it.â€
You could almost see the thought-bubble forming over the audience: Not this week, kiddo.
…and ALSO I was taught regarding Plagiarism AND WHAT IS BREAKING THE LAW — like or not he plagiarised — children & teens and adults has suffered that law WHY NOT A BEAUTIFUL BLACK MAN? HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FAIR!
IT was DRUMED INTO ME HOW —– NOT TO BREAK THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!
and even teachers are saying — it doesn’t matter…… BUT IT DOES — Since A Child! ….. A!I!V! I am working so I will be around.
Goyette made a good point yesterday about the pastors sermons. Everything he said about America is true but why does he have to choose to be divisive by damning America, as a pastor he should be asking for forgiveness for America. :jesus:
JFI, I am an “Ordained” Reverend (Druid) — The State Words CALLS It … I am my own Church…….(i.e. IOW wherever I Am is The Church (one of them))
I AM A TAD TOOOOOOOOOOO POLITICAL, therefore I CAN GO TAX EXEMPT… …BUT I DON’T FOR YEARS, since I lead certain causes ❗ ALSO, I NEED THE FREEDOM TO TALK FREELY ❗ I PLAYED FAIRLY and did not take the $$$ payoffs, so should that minister AND OBAMA! ❗ HE LIED about so much already ❗ Not screaming just very definite.
… A!I!V!
Well, plagiarism isn’t generally a crime. At best, the owner of the original material can sue for copyright infringement or fraud if prior creation can be proven. And plagiarism is normally defined as taking writings or ideas from somebody and selling and/or publishing them as your own. None of that applies in this case (the person he is alleged to have ‘stolen’ from says it’s OK by him, for one thing, and, really, there isn’t even much of – if any – an original idea in the ‘original’).
I think it’s a tough thing to try and demonize Obama on.
Not sure what 1st amendment violation you’d be referring to. I probably missed something.
Frankly, my biggest problem with Obama is that he’s too much of a Republican. But Clinton is about the same, and, really is campaigning as a Republican. I lost all respect for her when she basically said only she and John McCain were qualified to be president. You just don’t throw your fellow party member under the bus like that. Not in favor of a Republican – and certainly not in favor of McCain, who would be a horrible, horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE person to have as president. Far worse, IMHO, than the idiot we have now. The idiot we have now just listens to the war mongerers. McCain is one.
I really hate to disagree with you on this, Druid, because I respect your opinion and I know how passionate you are about this, but I’ve really had it with Clinton. I’m not sold on Obama, and I would have much preferred Edwards or Kucinich, or Dodd or Richardson (even Biden), but they’re all out.
I was actually think in more of a robotic, ‘droid like thing but the minds here, well…
NC Blue, I went to UVa for a year in 1972-1973 (cavalier, get it) and I know about ACC basketball. When I transferred there I wasn’t even into sports. Too righty for me but by the time November rolled around I was at U-Hall every night playing hoops and was standing in line for the free student tickets for the games. I am not sure who was playing for anyone anymore except Barry Parkhill was our star and I remember Tommy Burleson and Monty Towe at NC State.
PJ :rofl2:  :rofl2: re 20 … Actually you are right. I think that shows how the Teachers and Professors — Put The Fear Of…in me.
But he is a politician …. all he had to do was rephrase it or quote it. IT IS TAUGHT! We cannot tell the FUTURE Youth that again, like Bush, it is WRONG except if WE don’t want it to be. A!I!V!
Being the pragmatist that I am……….between Obama’s pastor saying true things about amurika that will surely alienate well over half of the white vote, and listening to ‘bama speak boilerplate to Steve Inskeep on NPR and Keith Olberman making me think more and more about a black John Kerrey :omg:
I’m throwing my weak mud-puddle shallow support to Hillary who I think has a (snowball in hell’s) chance to beat a reich-wing controlled media and a corporatist-nazi party. She knows how to lie about her record with some conviction :jerk:
I have no problem with it…
All that was said was that:
they both have the wisdom and Obama is unknown during a Time when we have to be “crystal clear”.
AND I (Sen Clinton) am the ONLY One that has dealt with:
1., 2., & 3
so all are defused save she.
😀 :dancers:
She’s lied in her speeches about her involvment with the S-chip program- this is coming from democrat senators who did the work. She’s lied about her involvment with the Northern Irish Peace Treaty- this coming from the people who did sign the treaty- Catholics and Protestants. But it really doesn’t make any difference to me.
‘Bama didn’t have the sense to distance himself from his minister months, maybe years ago. I’m sure Hillary would have brought it up eventually. That’s why I’m supporting her- she can fight just as dirty as the thugs and it’s going to be a dirty, dirty campaign…….
as always with the caveat if we have an election and if there is a clean election
I WANT GORE but going through the actions I demand the people to Keep Great Eco Control over Sen. Clinton (then we hopefully will get Good Eco Control) or  Gore as President with an Obama-like (maybe Webb if that is his name) or a Black Woman as VP. …………………………………… 😥 8) … :fist: A!I!V!
I voted for Clinton. I believe she has been poorly portrayed in the media and I think she has behaved poorly in an effort to beat Obama. I’m certain she has lied about her accomplishments because they ALL lie about their accomplishments.
Obama has behaved better toward her since he snubbed her at the SOTU speech. But, I think he is arrogant. He started running for president before he got settle into the senate. I fear his inexperience, coupled with an outsized ego, will not be a good thing.
I really fear that Obama will be the most disappointing because he has been endowed with so much by so many with so little evidence.
So, as usual, there are 2 choices, neither of which is my best choice. However, the third choice, McCain, is a disaster.
However, in the spirit of honesty, I have to admit that when I have seen MY candidate elected, for the most part that candidate has been very disappointing.
An Army judge at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has ordered the Pentagon to do more to help lawyers for Canadian detainee Omar Khadr build a defense case and delayed his trial on charges of killing a U.S. soldier during a firefight in Afghanistan in July 2002 — when he was 15 years old.
Army Col. Peter Brownback ordered prosecutors on Friday to give Khadr’s lawyers the names of all American personnel who had interrogated Khadr after his capture as well as access to their handwritten notes, made both in Afghanistan and at the prison camp here.
Khadr, now 21, was to have gone on trial before a military commission on May 5. His lawyers argue that he should have been treated as a child forced to fight, not as a terrorist. On Thursday, Khadr’s Navy defense attorney, Lt. Cmdr. William Kuebler, accused a military commander of doctoring a battlefield report to cast blame on his client, noting that the first account of the battle, written by an on-scene officer identified only as ”Lt. Col. W,” said whoever threw the grenade that killed the soldier died in the clash.
NC Blue, so they live to fight another day. Good. I despise VaTech.
I don’t know much but I can’t imagine Clemson will be much trouble.
I also had the great good fortune early in my life to be a WVU b’ball fan with the likes of Hot Rod Hundley and Jerry West  . Almost won a nat’l championship one year. In a poor colony like WVa, basketball was it. They were in the Southern Conference but the really big rivals and games were Pitt, Penn State, and even Syracuse.
I hope I am not so jaded that I will reject a decent and good candidate because he tries not to wallow in mud and look at that as a sign of weakness. I also hope I am not so starry eyed that I cannot see my way to support someone who is behaving despicably and inexcusably in her blind and furious ambition if she ends up facing a maniac in November. I’ll do it but I am sure I will be throwing up a little after her recent performance.
I am already discouraged and that’s just the way HRC and the repuglies want it. Voter suppression.
I’m with PJ. Let us not speak of college basketball after tonight.
Kent State 74
Akron 55
Free-throws, guys. Learn to hit them more than once in a while. Shaq may be a great player, but just because they constantly foul you, that doesn’t make you Shaq. Yes, Jeremiah Wood, I’m calling you out. But he wasn’t the only one.
We’ll see how the NIT selection goes, but considering how badly the Zips got hosed last year with 26 wins, I’m not holding out a lot of hope this year with 21.

Thanks Vernon. That was a great post.
It’s a horrible situation we’re in, when we’re told that optimism and hope are naive, that lies are experience, and that fear is strength. Fuck McCain, fuck Bush, and I’m trying hard not to say fuck Hillary, but she and her campaign minions aren’t helping me.
Keep in mind that a McCain presidency fucks up the Supreme Court for the next 30 years at least. I don’t plan to be dead by then. Let’s help each other have a nice life. Or something.
Me, I worked 8 hours of overtime today and came home to watch my alma mater get squashed like a bug on the court, so I’m just about done. But only for today.

Vernon, its a religious experience. You probably wouldn’t understand since you aren’t from NC. In North Carolina March is a maddening time of year.
Yeah, the ACC actually thinks it’s the best hoops league. We know better.
